This is the third time we have worked with Chem Dry on the Shore. We have used their full line of services -- carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning of a large "light-colored" sofa, large area rugs cleaned in place and large oriental rugs that were taken to their specialty cleaning facility. They have always exceeded our expectations which is why we are repeat customers. Everything has come out looking new again with all spots, etc. gone. In addition, everyone of their staff is professional, timely in response, easy to work with and very friendly. They are very accommodating in scheduling to meet our needs; call ahead to give us an accurate timeframe for arrival; careful with furniture and cleaning up after they complete their work. One time a closet was missed and they came back the very next day to complete the work. In 35 years of home ownership, they have been the very best carpet cleaning service that we have ever had. I highly recommend them.

In desperate need of a great carpet cleaning company I turned to google and read all the reviews. I chose Chem-Dry because of the great reviews they had received and I am so happy I picked them. They were able to quickly fir me in and had great prices. They service was wonderful, they gentlemen who came to do the work was quick and very nice. I was worried that they wouldn’t be able to save the carpet in my daughter’s room after a pet accident and her being quick to clean her own carpet. The gentleman assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. I will admit I did get a wee worried the following morning when we entered the room (we kept it closed up so the carpet could dry fully) and it had a strong odor. We decided to open the windows to air the room out after noticing the carpet was still wet in some areas. By the end of the day the room smelled great and the carpet was fully dry. Chem-Dry exceeded all of my expectation and I will definitely call upon them again. Thanks again Chem- Dry for saving the day!

My experience with Chem-Dry on the Shore has been excellent! Before we got our Bichon, Dori, keeping my carpets clean was something I could handle with a home machine. That soon became impossible, and I needed to find a carpet cleaning company that didn't use heavy smelling cleaners and left the carpet clean but not over wet. I found Chem-Dry in my search and called for an estimate and have been using Chem-Dry ever since. I always receive excellent customer service. The employees are prompt, courteous and professional. They are also friendly and down-to-earth but stay on task and do a quick and efficient job while in my home. I also personally like the way the owner, Vance, does business. He is customer oriented and provides great service at a fair price. He also recommends local companies that he personally uses in the newsletter he mails to customers. I pay attention to that and when I need something done I go to those businesses. I like finding local companies that I can establish a relationship with and continue to use supporting our local economy.

I cannot give this company even a one star. This company is NOT recommended, The owner operator of this franchise and his technician, SB, seem to be seriously ethically challenged. Truth: An hour late, minimal effort job, (they said when they arrived "this will be finishsd in 15 minutes,-- this for two rooms and an entry way)" SB refused to use additional cleaning fluid for the last 25% of my job although his hard working co-worker Herbert suggested it. I suggested SB use pet cleaning fluid twice. SB said, "We don't want to add chemicals, they could hurt the dog, and then, "No, chemicals might change the color of your carpet." So how does Mr. Vance use his great pet/urine removal chemicals? Damaged carpets, anyone? Upon their arrival and my request, SB had me sign a form he represented as a copy of our original estimate. Concentrating on the cost, it was handed to me folded in half. SB held it and showed me where to sign it on the lower half, which i did. After the two men left, I unfolded the form I had signed for SB. I felt like I was kicked in the stomach! It had been pre-written to function as a release form. I would not have signed it had I seen the top half of this form. In it , someone had written that he had informed me of the following: a/ replacement of carpet recommendation, b/, dog damage (pee) is permanent, and c/ that I agreed they did an "overall improvement." None of these so called agreed upon terms had been told to me or documented either on the estimate date or before cleaning. I have both forms -- my original and this later dated one --I signed which clearly reveal this. The most enthusiastic statement Mr. Vance made to me during our first telephone call was "If you don't like the job, we"ll come back and do it again free." I requested a redo via telephone immediately after they left and I immediately inspected their work. He has not replied. I expect he will do the same to me as he does to others who object to being cheated -- shoot the messenger. But I. Mr. Vance am a professional writer. And there is more than one site whose goal is to warn folks away from bad business practices. Have a good day, sir.

Called this company to clean my carpets, tile/grout and 2 couches because their phone book ad said "BEST CLEAN EVER OR 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE", there were no stipulations to this. They completed the service around 10 pm on May 1st and first thing in the morning on May 2nd, I notified the tech that we were unhappy with all of the cleanings. It all looked exactly the same and we paid $800 for our tiny condo. The tech told me he was sorry and that he wasn't able to get a hold of the owner so he'd be in touch. I informed him that we were on a very tight schedule and the problem needed corrected right away and that I contacted another company to come and fix it that Wed the 6th. I asked for my money back and said the new service was coming that Wednesday morning. I didn't hear anything back so I followed up every day to the tech and owner with no response back. I was getting scared that I wasn't going to get my 100% money back guarantee before the new company came Wed so Tuesday I finally left a nasty message to the owner (again) and said if I didn't receive a call back that night I was calling the BBB, Attorney Generals Office, etc. I finally received a call from him an hour before the new company was coming and 5 days after I notified them I wasn't happy. He proceeded to tell me he had to do a re-clean for me to get my money back (no where in their yellow-pages ad did it state this) and I told him he had 5 days to do this and didn't return my calls. He was so mean that I was in tears and had to end the call. He was rude, condescending and smug. About a week later when I realized he wasn't going to budge and we were headed down to our condo, I called him and left a message to come and do the re-clean since the other company ended up not being able to clean because they put a sealant on everything and he told me the case was closed and hung up. I've since reported the issue to my credit card company to get my money back and he just keeps coming up with lies as to things I said which I've proved thru copies of messages I kept that I didn't. He's NOT an honest business owner and I warn everyone I know in the area about him. I was advised by my attorney and the Maryland Chamber of Commerce to report him to the BBB and AG which I plan to do next. The fact of the matter is that they offer a guarantee and broke that. We used the phonebook to find them and no where does it state that there are rules to this guarantee. We were robbed and cheated. He doesn't play very nicely so we're ready for his nasty rebuttal (lies).

Arrived right on schedule, cleaned the carpet and some of the furniture in my elderly parents' home and some of their carpets and furniture are very old and were very dirty, i.e. never been professionally cleaned. The technician was very professional and explained everything, including cost and the possibility that he could not get out all of the stains since they were more than a year old; however everything came out fabulous. He spent at least 2 hours +, very meticulous. Very pleased with this company!!
