I have been a patient of Dr. Nelson's for over a year; first for jaw and lower back pain which quickly went away with his adjustments and I am now in maintenance. I was in a couple of weeks ago for my adjustment and I mentioned to Dr. Nelson how I had aching behind my eyes, not eye strain, it felt like pressure pushing out from my eye. It was manageable discomfort that I attributed to stress but I asked him if he could pay special attention knowing I had an eye issue. Dr. Marc made his adjustments and within hours the pressure was gone! Last week I had an appointment with my optometrist and he confirmed all looked good. As my husband and I are getting older we so appreciate the chiropractic care we have found at Cadence Chiropractic. Dr. Marc listens and acts on our concerns, his staff is professional and very thorough. and they offer a cutting edge practice without the twisting, popping, and cracking I knew from my past chiropractic experience. I highly recommend Dr. Marc Nelson and Cadence Chiropractic.

I started going to Cadence Chiropractic after a terrible car accident my brother and I where in. I was initially very hesitant because I didn’t want anyone twisting me around and destroying my back. When I came in I was very impressed with how much detail they had in the assessment, Dr Nelson gave me a lot of comfort and showed me that things would be different here. Dr Nelson uses this amazing device that does not twist or pop, I didn’t think it would do much but IT WORKS! It is amazing how much better I feel. I can safely say that I feel better now than I did before the accident. I am still recovering from how bad the accident was but I can definitely feel the difference when I can’t make it to the office for my appointment. Over all the office is clean, the staff and assistance are one of the best parts and the doctor is amazing. They use a lot of technology in the office which makes everything way easier to set appointments and keep track of the recommendations. They will definitely go out of their way to make sure that you are the focus, I can say that walking into the office brightens my day because it is like seeing my friends every time. If you need help with neck pain, back pain, sciatica, or you were just in a car accident I can’t recommend Cadence Chiropractic enough, they will get you feeling better than ever.

Dr. Nelson has been an excellent chiropractor for me and my family. I came in with limited range in my right shoulder (I am a high school teacher) and now have full range of motion with no pain. I also have no pain in my neck and he is currently making a huge difference with pain and range of motion in my right foot (I had bunion surgery last year). Dr. Nelson takes time to understand your issues and spends the time with you to heal those issues. His office staff is personal and professional. I live 15-20 minutes away and will always be willing to drive to see Dr. Nelson.

***Update 9/25/17: Dr. Nelson called me back to talk through what happened again and offer more of an explanation. I appreciate the effort and I do think that they care. Seems like things weren't communicated well from the start. He said he talked with the staff and clarified how to handle things for the future when people ask about prices. Hopefully they will be really clear and straight forward about how things work and what things cost in the future.*** So here is the good: -doctor and staff were friendly and courteous. -convenient location -easy to schedule and get in to -owners seem to be a really earnest, hard working couple and I can appreciate that as a small business person Now for the negative which, unfortunately, made up the bulk of my experience: I was given quite the run around repeatedly when I asked about prices. I called to get prices as my insurance doesn't cover the type of chiropractic care I want and I would be self pay. I was told that it really depends on the type of treatment I need and that I should come in for a free initial consultation to get my medical history and determine what type of treatment I need and then I could get pricing. I asked again if I could just get a ballpark idea of prices, so I could get an idea. Again I was told I really needed to come in for the first appointment and then I could get prices based on what treatment I need. So, that is frustrating and makes me raise an eyebrow a bit. I had called three other chiropractors and was immediately told prices over the phone. So, I figured that meant prices were pretty high at Cadence. But they could see me in a day or two and since the location was so convenient for me, I decided to go for the *free* consultation and get prices. I went to the "free initial consultation" and was told about 2/3 of the way through the appointment that it would be $45 without any other explanation. Then at the end of the appointment I was told that the next appointment is a group appointment where they will talk more about chiropractics, treatments, and "all the financials". ???? I have been to other chiropractors in the past and never encountered anything like this. So, now I have gone to the free-NOT FREE initial appointment and ended up getting charged money and still can not get the information about how much regular visits/adjustments will cost. I have to go to two appointments before they will tell me how much they charge??? That puts up a red flag in my mind. If you are a legitimate, honest business offering a good product there is no reason not to be straight forward about your prices. So I walk out the door with a really bad taste in my mouth, $45 dollars poorer, and still no information about prices. Honestly, I felt like I had just been in a time share or MLM presentation. It was just weird and off putting. I called today to cancel my group appointment (as I had decided to go elsewhere where I could get pricing and practice information up front) and express my concern and frustration about the not free "free consultation" appointment and ask for my money back because of the false representation of the appointment. At no point in the phone call when I first contacted them was I ever told anything about being charged. It was all "free initial consultation" "first appointment is free", etc... I was given an explanation that the initial consultation is free (aka the first part of the appointment) and then the charge was for the testing/evaluation (aka second part of the appointment) and no refund was offered. I expressed that I think they need to be much more clear about this up front because it feels extremely misleading. I've tried to be fair in this review and I mostly just want to give the public a heads up and also explain a few more of my misgivings and frustrations to Cadence. I think the business model is terrible - be up front with your customers about everything. Don't guard your prices and have such build up into actually disclosing them - it feels scammy.

I have received 6 treatments from Mark at Cadence Chiropractic and couldn't be more pleased with the procedure and the results. Gradually, I feel that I will improve in my lower back scoliosis issues which we are seeking not to reverse (can't be done), but to arrest and improve. Progress so far!! One day, in particular, I was experiencing an unusual amount of lower back discomfort, and luckily had an afternoon appointment with the Cadence clinic. Mark worked extra time on my problem area with the result being very positive and noticeable almost immediately. I highly recommend this skilled man and his friendly helpful staff.

Before I started going to Cadence Chiropractic, I was having migraines 3-4 times a week. This had been going on for 3+ years. Apart from brain surgery, I felt like I had tried almost everything. It took a few weeks but the intensity started to go down and for the first time in forever, I was able to function without being in immense pain, which for me was a huge deal. When I get a migraine now, it's pretty mild. Dr. Marc has really affected my life for the better and helped me improve. In the past, I’ve always kept my distance from Chiropractors because I’ve seen online the crazy moves some of them do to pop necks and backs and was amazed that no one was dying after what seemed like movie scenes of necks being broken. I didn’t want anything to do with it. However my neck was getting worse every month that passed to the point that I could barely drive and I hated going to bed because it was so uncomfortable sleeping. Finally after almost a year of neck pain that was progressively getting worse, I turned to my wife (albeit painfully) while on our way to an annual pumpkin weigh in (because who doesn’t like a good hometown pumpkin contest) and said that I have to go get my neck looked at this week. To my amazement, there was a booth for Cadence Chiropractic where I met Dr. Nelson who was incredibly nice. When I heard that his treatments did NOT involve twisting, popping, or cracking and that the initial neck scan showed some of the problem areas, I was excited for the chance to have my normal mobility back without all the sharp pains and stiffness. Fast forward to 3 weeks later and even though there is still more to do to correct long term damage, in that short time I’ve noticed that I can sleep normal and comfortably again. I can drive without sharp pains when I look over either shoulder to avoid those pesky drivers that hover in your blind spots. And all of this was accomplished without any painful popping or twisting methods. It’s seriously pain-free and only takes 15-minutes per visit. It’s amazing! Something I realized was that whenever my car starts having troubles, I’d take it into the shop immediately to keep it working the way it’s designed, however I wouldn’t do that for my own body...until now. I have Dr. Nelson and the team at Cadence Chiropractic to thank for that! They are seriously the best!

Horrible experience! They don't put the customer first, they just care about taking your money. My husband and I went in for what we thought would be an adjustment and it ended up being a two hour "consulatation" where we met with the Dr's wife and she did an innacurate scan of our spines, and then the Dr came in and tried to convince us to sign up for a two month plan. Sitting in the uncomfortable chairs for so long gave me a head ache, and when I complained all he offered was to give me an adjustment for another $50 on top of what we paid, or a water bottle. I demanded a refund and they only gave us a partial refund and then rudely implied for us to leave.

Took me in last minute, very thorough examination, worried about my back being popped and cracked because I just threw it out that morning, but he had a handy dandy little device that allowed him to adjust my lower back and hips with out the normal adjustment process I am use to. Best chiropractor I've ever been to! I've dealt with neck pain/headaches for a lot of my life, and also after giving birth to my daughter my lower back didn't feel quite like it should. I couldn't stand for any extended period of time without pain and every chiropractor I went to was never able to fully fix it, only give me a few hours of relief at a time. After going to Cadence for a few weeks now I have had zero headaches and my lower back pain is literally gone. This is such an improvement from being incapacitated with a splitting headache every other day. I can actually function in my day to day life! Would highly recommend. *Update: Now 5 months postpartum. I had a wonderful pregnancy and birth. My back and hips felt better than they did pre-pregnancy right up until the day my water broke. Investing in prenatal chiropractic care is one of the best decisions I made. My labor progressed quickly, and the discomfort was minimal. After labor, I was up and feeling phenomenal. ---- I'm so thankful for Dr. Marc and his awesome staff!! They are caring, respectful and make you feel right at home. I'm 25 weeks pregnant with my first and have preexisting back trauma. So, a gentle, no twisting approach was critical for me. Great experience, kind staff, clean facility, and a cool doctor, Dr. Marc, who knows what's out of whack with your body and can make the proper adjustments. The technique Dr. Marc uses is harmless and doesn't involve twisting or popping, making it safe if used on pregnant women and children. Also men and women who aren't pregnant. Short wait, too. Definitely fill out the forms before visiting for the first time. You can find the forms online. Complimentary water and granola bars. Staff and doctor speak Spanish (and English, of course).
