I recently saw a post saying that someone was upset about how they were billed by Sioux Falls Chiropractic. I have been a patient at Sioux Falls Chiropractic for many years and they have always been fair and helpful with any insurance questions that I have had about my account. Before you start accusing a place of unfair billing practices, you really should find out how your insurance plan is set up, which by the way, you chose this plan. Also want you to know that it is a courtesy of the business to submit your claims to your insurance for you and it is not a requirement.

My husband was treated here, and was satisfied with the treatments; however, billing is another story. He was recommended to have the muscle stimulation, and specifically asked if that was covered by insurance, or if there was an additional charge for it. The doctor left the room to check, and returned, assuring my husband it was covered. My husband received the muscle stimulation. A month later we got a bill for $110, which my husband went to the office and talked to the billing person there. He was assured these were pending insurance payments, and was told insurance would cover them. Same thing the following month: we got a bill, he was assured insurance would be covering it. The third month, he went down to the office and was told insurance did not cover these charges, and that we owed $110. Not sure why they lied to us for three months, but we'll not return there.

Well I've held off very long writing a review. I've been a patient for almost 6 years with ups and downs on both fronts. To be honest some doctors are better than others in terms of being able to adjust you and get you back going. My main doctor was Kirk and he was a friendly man who sought to always get me back on my feet. The only problem was when it came to billing and customer service, which this place is drastically lacking. I've had 2 instances of bill disputes the latest went completely ignored the first resolved in my favor 2 years back. The most recent one will ultimately be the reason why I have chosen to no longer have the great doctor Kirk adjust me and hopefully someone in the office will actually get the issues fixed. I had an adjustment in November, I made a payment at that time that I had thought would be sufficient to cover, only to find out I had another fee from that visit. No problem at face value until I call 2 weeks after to figure out my financials and get told a certain amount and then in December the day I had planned to go in and pay I call to reaffirm and get told a different (larger) amount. The lady wasn't even willing to consider that I was told one thing and when I gave her the exact times and days I called she said wasn't good enough I'd have to remember exactly who I had talked to for them to even consider what I was saying was truthful (quite disheartening as someone who doesn't lie and is a veteran to basically be called a liar). Then today I get a "final notice" statement saying they are going to turn me over to collections if I don't pay in full in 10 days yet they'd never reached out to me so I'm not sure how it can be a final notice if I didn't get any other notices or attempts to resolve it except when I reached out and was called a liar by the billing lady. Unfortunately it seems they don't care for their customers only their wallets and it's quite sad because the place in terms of treatment is normally top notch but the office/billing department needs a massive overhaul. RESPONSE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER: No you won't..I tried discussing the issues with you guys over the phone, got the specific times, dates, and only thing I didn't have was worker name and your woman in billing just called me a liar and was extremely rude.

While the actual treatment here may be good, their customer service STINKS! They charged the incorrect copay...no bill was received for the balance and had to go to California for a family crisis so missed a letter they sent while gone so was charged not only one but two late fees and even given the situation they won’t remove the fees...office manager was NOT even pleasant let alone symapethic to the situation...hope she is never in a position to need compassion in the midst of a crisis because when you are treated badly it really is awful.

My wife went here twice and was told that her copay was going to be $75. She paid the $75 the first visit and waited for a bill to come in the mail for the second. When the bill came it said she owed $150. She called and complained and the doctor called back and left a message saying twice that she does not owe $150 she only owes $75. A little while later we get another bill for $150 and when she goes in to talk to the billing person they say that she does indeed owe $150. We are not complaining because it is so much money but we do just feel like they were dishonest or ripped us off by saying one price and charging another.

The doctors truly care about you and how you feel. If you are a regular, they know what you might be needing to have done and will make an adjustment based on your history and any new info you give. Without Dr. Chris and the crew I wouldn't be walking around.

Dr was very-very good and displayed great care and compassion. Aside from that-experience was dismal. Went in hrs early to do paperwork & be assured my insurance was covered there-assured all in order and my insurance carrier was indeed covered. Went back 5 weeks later-5 WEEKS and had another minor adjustment for the kiddo. After adjustment “financial office coordinator” entered room & informed me “Oops-we don’t accept your insurance”. After numerous bills-mailed chk for 1st appt only/would never have been a 2nd has they informed on insurance status & explained prior experience with details. No response other than another bill marked “past due”. Never again & I tell everyone I meet inquiring re chiropractor.

04/25/2019 I went to two chiropractor appointments in severe pain. paid a total of 170$ and received no care. first appointment: I explained my pain and no matter how much I told them I was in pain. They FORCED me to take xrays before they would do anything to help. they said we can do adjustments the next appointment so I took the xrays and left in pain. 2nd appointment: still in unbearable pain, they just went over my xrays, walked through what they wanna do. then said we can do adjustments another time. paid 170$ for..... wait for you.... NO CARE. still in unbearable pain. and will be going somewhere else unless they do something that will actually help me.

I found the billing to be very unprofessional. I would pay each time I was in the office, but I still received a bill of upwards of $300. They did not appropriately bill me for each visit and then charged me for everything. $39 for the visit, and if they messed with my shoulder, $7 more. My knee $7 more. They did not explain any of the additional costs to me when I first started.

I am recently new to Sioux Falls and it took me quite awhile to find a chiropractor.. I know a girl who recommended me to Sioux Falls Chiropractic and I looked on googles reviews and also figured that it would be top notch since it had the cities name in its business name. Long story short I would never recommend this chiropractic. I understand trying to receive business, but after having billing problems I decided that I would find another chiropractor they changed the rates on me and my billing amount. I have a voicemail from the man who adjusted me saying I owe $75 for one adjustment and a bill that says I actually owe $150. I have called three times and gone into the office for them to not work with me at all. I honestly do not recommend going here at all.
