I have had what I thought was heel pain for about 3 years now. I have also had elbow and knee pain for maybe 2.5 years as well. I am active in life playing basketball, lifting weights walking daily as well. I was worried I would have to slow down or even stop my activity prior to me seeing Dr Paul. Today 4/19/18 will be my fourth visit since March 29. As of today 4/19/18 my body has not felt this good in the past 3-4 years. Not only was I able to stay active I have been able to walk longer, lift more weights consistently, and most importantly wake up with less and less pain each day. The only wish that I have is that I would have come to Bayside Chiropractic sooner. I am more than pleased with the results I have had since my very first visit. The office is welcoming, friendly and most of all they truly want to help patients go from a place of discomfort to a better quality of life. Jess and Edy should not be overlooked either. Dr. O'Brian was recommended to, me by a coworker after I herniated a disc in my back. I was in extreme pain... pain that was radiating from my back, all the way down my leg and into my foot. I could not do any daily activity without being in agony. Sitting on the couch, and even sleeping were exxruciating. I saw.a surgeon who thought surgery was my best option, but I was not ready to go that route. I had seen a chiropractor previously, and was turned off by my experience. However, on recommendation, I went to see Dr. O'Brien. He was friendly, informative, and did an evaluation. He was able to come up with a plan that made sense, and was very interested in making sure I knew how my back issues were connected to certain other things. After 8 weeks I feel almost 100% better than I did eight weeks prior. I have very minimal pain, can do most of my normal activities again , and am looking forward to his continued care and feeling even better. I would recommend him highly as a great practitioner, and a great guy who didn't try and sell me on a bunch of bull. I appreciate that!

Bayside Chiropractic services are above excellent!!! This is my belated but well deserved review..... i hurt my lower back pretty bad at the beginning of this past summer. My sister referred me to Bayside chiropractic about ten minutes after i had hurt my back, she had worked with Dr Megan Schaffer at an event though Bradley hospital. I called them and told them the details of my back injury and they immediately opened their schedule to see me. I arrived at Bayside in about twenty minutes. the receptionist greated me and offered her help, (i was having trouble walking). She helped me to my seat and then proceeded to introduce me to Dr Paul Obrien. We discussed my injury and then went into one of his several patient rooms. Then he worked his magic, He thoroughly went through everything with me. Unfortunately my body was pretty out of sorts. Dr Obrien was prepared to help and seemed genuinely concerned. I started to see him twice a a week at first and then once a week. it really began to help me a lot!! after that very first visit i felt better and was able to walk out of there on my own. Dr Obrien and his practice are above par with their service, hospitality, and general concern for their patients, it was a very personal one on one experience. My only Qualm was that i was moving and could no longer continue my treatment at Bayside, but Dr Obrien gave me several suggestions on new doctors in my new area.. Dr Obrien helped me tremendously!! I highly recommend Bayside Chiropractic

I stumbled upon this practice after leaving another chiropractor, and selected Dr. O'Brien primarily due to his good online reviews. I wasn't aware he did sacro-occipital therapy, nor had I even heard of that. But when he reviewed my medical history at my first appt., he explained why I was a good candidate for that. After about 6 weeks, I am a believer. I have several things going on, including cervical disc degeneration, that result in chronic discomfort and my symptoms, though not completely relieved, are noticeably better. And the results are more lasting than I have experienced with any other chiropractor. Additionally, I have noticed other changes that I hadn't even expected, including improved coordination. I used to drop things (and break them) constantly and just thought I was clumsy. But it just occurred to me that I can't remember the last time I've dropped something. That's been a nice surprise.

I have been seeing Dr. O'Brien over the last several weeks due to a running injury. From the first day that I stepped into the office, I felt welcomed. As a runner, he completely understood exactly what I was going through and accommodated my needs. He uses a method that is unlike most chiropractors and I always left feeling so much better. He could tell exactly what was happening in my body just by examination. It still amazes me. I had no problem getting appointments, and the young lady that works at the desk is always very nice. One night I came in on the wrong night and Dr. O'Brien stayed late to see me. He is very attentive to his patients in all aspects of care. I came in one day after an MRI that I had and was not feeling well at all due to the oral contrast. Dr. O'Brien listened and altered my treatment that day to help with my symptoms from the MRI. He also emailed to follow up on how I was feeling the next day. I truly feel that he cares for his patients overall well being as well as the problem they are seeking treatment for and has a passion for his work. It is refreshing to have a health care professional like him that cares about what he does. Not only am I feeling better, but I am back in the gym and can't wait to hit the pavement soon. I am confident to say that I highly recommend Dr. O'Brien not only for a chiropractor but for an overall well being health care professional.

A week ago I injured my back while lifting a heavy piece of equipment. The pain was so horrific, I could barely walk. After only 2 sessions, Dr. Sickel has me fully functional again. Bayside Chiropractic is amazing & the staff couldn't be friendlier. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

My 2.5 year old daughter has been a patient of Dr. O'Brien's for about 3 months. She had torticollis and plagiocephaly as an infant. A helmet and PT treated the issues but her shoulder muscle was still incredibly stiff and she held the shoulder high on one side. We decided to try chiropractic. I was a bit hesitant as I didn't know how my daughter would handle it but Dr. O'Brien is great with his little patients! She goes to her appointments without any complaints and looks forward to her sticker at that end of each session. He is gentle and truly seems to care about the well-being of each patient. We highly recommend him. The results have been incredible in such a short time!

I have taken my newborn to see Dr. O’Brien since she was a week old. He helped discover a tongue and lip tie that was interfering with breast-feeding and recommended a doctor for the procedure to revise these. Dr. O’Brien also did cranial work on my newborn to help with breast-feeding issues and overall alignment. By six weeks old my newborn was breast-feeding much better with a lot less issues like painful spitting up in gas . The office staff is phenomenal and I would highly recommend this practice.

I love love love Meghan! I first started seeing her when I was pregnant. I was referred to her by a friend who saw her for pregnancy pains. She truly was a miracle worker. I felt so much better even after my first visit. I still continue to see her today and even though its a far drive for me, it's so worth it. I love that its a holistic practice. Meghan practices what she preaches. I have taken many of her recomendations on products etc and she is always right on. I also brought my newborn son to see her and she was amazing and so gentle with him. I'm a true believer in her work and ability. I was almost hesitant to write a review because if she becomes too popular it will be hard to get appointments! haha. I should also note that I have been seeing a different chiropractor for about 15 years, and their methods are completly different. I cant believe I went so many years being cracked so harshly and now getting this amazing gentle adjustment that is so effective. Thank god I found her!

I feel so fortunate to have found such a great chiropractor. While I was pregnant I had horrific sciatica and a few other random pains associated with the changes my body was dealing with. After just a couple visits my sciatica was gone and I was feeling great. Postpartum treatment was wonderful and helped me bounce back from delivery. They have also treated my daughter. She had some problems with her hip. Soon after being treated here she started walking with ease! They are such a great office for parents of littles. I don’t have to worry about finding a sitter for my appointments. The friendly staff is more than willing to look after them while I am adjusted. I can’t speak highly enough of this office! I started seeing Dr. O'Brien in September with serious lower back issues that had been causing nearly constant and severe pain through lower back into my right leg. The pain was at the point that I was using a cane to walk, and I was on leave from work. I had seen a spine specialist, a physician, and a physical therapist, and while they all certainly helped, my recovery could not have been complete without Dr. O'Brien. I had been seeing another chiropractor for a few months for chronic hip and lower back issues. When I had an exacerbation including significant knee pain, inability to bend my legs due to muscle tightness, my chiropractor did little more than her standard adjustment and 'see you in 3 weeks'. I switched to Bayside to get the issue looked at after reviewing their website. I have been going to chiropractors for 20 years and the best experiences have been with those trained to see infants and children. I had an appointment with Dr. O'Brien with little delay. I felt his approach to me was individualized to my complaint and not just the "standard adjustment". From his assessments and adjustments, it is clear his holistic knowledge of the body is extensive. His touch and adjustments are gentle...I've definitely had neck and back adjustments with other chiropractors that felt more like an assault than an adjustment. He is pretty much always on time for his appointments. In the weeks that I have seen him, the initial problem I came in for has almost completely resolved and we are seeing each other less frequently as expected. His receptionist is also very pleasant and professional making interacting with the office that much nicer. I would recommend highly.

Dr. O'Brien has been treating me since May, utilizing craniopathy and Category II Subluxation (yes, sounds fancy, but Dr. O'Brien has a way of explaining so a person understands precisely what is the issue and what can be done about it!). I have always been a naysayer concerning going to a chiropractor---fear, perhaps? Worried it might be more painful than what it is worth? This is the best experience and the perfect treatment! Dr Obrien and all his staff are great! He has helped me greatly with my migraines but also helped me through a bad experience as a result of a fall. The ER didn't think anything was broken and sent me out without any scans. Initially for a knee injury, which he permanently solved for me within a few visits, and most recently for a tension headache I was suffering with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for nearly a month. I tried everything before visiting Dr. O'Brien and was about to try taking muscle relaxers because the tension headache was becoming unbearable. I had instant relief after my first visit with him, and after a couple more visits was completely cured. He's wonderful!

I’ve been going to Bayside Chiropractic for about two years. I had initially sought them out for prenatal chiropractic work when I had developed severe pelvic pain, started having trouble walking because of it and found out my daughter was breech during my third trimester pregnant. Through their skilled work and thoughtful plan of care, I not only was able to return to work for several weeks with reduced discomforts during my third trimester of pregnancy, but my baby also moved from a breech position to a head down position within two weeks. I so appreciated the home visit they provided following the birth of my baby to provide alignments to myself and ensure I was healing appropriately following the delivery. It was a huge relief not to have to leave my home during the immediate postpartum period. I followed up postpartum and was able to return to my work (which is quite physical in nature) without difficulty. This was incredibly important to me as my work is my livelihood. My child is now nearly two years of age and once in a while while caring for my children, when I become out of alignment, my back will be a little angry with me. A single visit to the skilled team at Bayside Chiropractic and I am feeling back to normal. I am incredibly grateful to them for all they’ve done for me and our family.

Dr. Shaffer was recommended to me by my doula for turning breach babies. Mine was transverse and after 2 sessions with her, the baby was head down. It didn’t even feel like she was touching me most of the time! I also had some lower back pain that comes along with pregnancy and she was able to help relieve that as well (with some assigned homework. Do the homework!) I will most likely continue to see her for some other hip issues I’ve had in the past once the baby comes.
