I started seeing Dr. Comer, about 3 weeks ago. I was having lower back pain and would begin hurting at the end of the day on the way home. Then would wake in the morning with even more lower back pain as well as being very stiff. After discussing what I was going through and taking X-rays, Dr. Comer set down with me and explained where the problems were coming from and what he thought would be the best way to proceed. Each visit starts with some simple but very beneficial stretches, then depending on how busy they are, you can either go to the message chair or into see the Dr. I find It doesn't matter which is first, Dr. or message chair. But It is an excellent way of moving clients through the office so that there is very little wasted time. In message , the ladies are always open to hear what you need and what areas you wish for them to focus on. I always find the experience to be both relaxing and beneficial. They tailor the amount of pressure to what you feel you need or can handle. And like all great things, YOU DONT WANT IT TO STOP. Once I got in with Dr, Comer and he started the adjustments, my body was slow to react at first, which he told me was very common. However he had explained how he was going to do things, and also asks me how I feel after each visit as well as how I an feeling before we start. This way he can adjust each treatment as we proceed. I was sore after the first couple of visits but as your body gets used to the adjustments the soreness fades. It took about 4 to 6 adjustments be fore I noticed real change. However I am now on my 10 visit and I find myself sleeping better, waking with little to no lower back pain and feeling much better at the end of the day. So I have to say that my over all review is that, All of the staff from the Lady's that greet you and take care of billing and appointments, to the lady that gets you through your visit and helps you with your stretches, the lady's in message that make your day a little bit better, and the Dr. that is improving you life, THEY ARE WONDERFUL, CARING AND HELPFUL PEOPLE, I FULLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WITH ANY KIND OF PAIN.

I originally went to Dr Block for my tennis elbow. I was amazed that I had 50% relief after one acupuncture treatment. He also told me that chiropractic adjustments could help with the pain in my mid back caused from a pinched nerve in my neck. After following his treatment plan, I have enjoyed less pain than I have for the last 3 years. I rarely need any pain medication and I have resumed a lot of activities that I had not been able to perform. Prior to chiropractic treatment I had been getting spinal injections on a regular basis. Eventually the injections stopped relieving the pain. I will continue on the maintenance program. On occasion there have been extended waits for treatment, but generally I am in and out in a timely fashion.

I began coming to the clinic several years ago when Dr. Block and I visited at a health awareness fair at my work. I was currently struggling with Achilles heal and ankle pain that at times incapacitated my ability to walk or run. I had already met with my doctor with no avail other than to meet with an orthopedic surgeon. One visit to Dr. Block's facility corrected my pain and have never had problems with my heal/ankle again (5-6 years later). Additionally, I've had severe back pain since playing sports throughout junior high, high school and college. Since visiting the clinic (with Dr. Valadez and Dr. Comer) once a month for adjustments, my pain has lessened and I suffer from debilitating migraines far less frequently.

Flexible appointment schedule. I have been adjusted by every doctor on staff and they are all great. They were able to stop the pain that spinal injections and pain meds could not. So, I had my wife go see them and the stopped her back pain as well. I highly recommend Active Care Chiropractic!

I was a patient of Dr. Brickman and Dr. Block for several years. I always had a great experience with the staff and all of the doctors. When I started going there were only the two of them and the clinic was smaller. As the clinic grew and added staff I noticed that the schedule might be a little off but I always got in and out of there in a timely manner. I was always greeting by name by everyone as I walked in. I loved the other treatments available like acupuncture and massage. Not every clinic offers those as a standard. I don't use them anymore because the locations are not convenient to my schedule any more. I do still refer people to Active Care and hope they go for treatment.

They are quick and efficient and get you over to stretch right away. To get you the best adjustment possible, you get to stretch your body and get a massage. Dr Comer is my doctor and he is the best! He is so easy to talk to and does the best adjustment. I generally in and out in 30 minutes feeling refreshed.

The staff was willing to listen to my concerns and set treatment for those specific issue. Other places have set treatments without considering my knowledge of my body thus not achieving positive results. However, I like to add that my experience with the massage therapist was 50/50. Either it was a great experience or a waste of time. Again the therapist that listened were the ones I looked forward to seeing again where as the therapist that didn't listen and seemed offended by my input made me consider if my time was better spent elsewhere. Over all it was a good place and has the potential to be a great place.

This was my first visit to Active Care Chiropractic, and my first impression is that it is a well-oiled machine. Firstly, everyone I came in contact with was extremely personable and welcoming. As I moved from station to station (check-in, doctor's visit, x-ray, chair massage, STEM, and checkout), the transition was smooth, interactive, friendly, thorough, and efficient! Since most of my visits will probably be during my lunch time, it is important to me that the process be efficient to get me in and out in a timely manner. With that said, I don't want quality to be sacrificed to make that happen. The doctor's time with me was in no way rushed, and he asked me several times if I had any questions. In my opinion, the secret to their success is to eliminate as much unnecessary downtime as possible. My visit wasn't due to acute pain or immobility. I've just been experiencing some light pain, stiffness, and tendon popping in my lower back and finally decided to seek some chiropractic care. The tendon popping only happens occasionally; however, it just so happened to be bothering me the day of my visit. With just about every step, that tendon would pop. By the time I left, I had relief! As I said, this is only my first visit to Active Care, but based on what I experienced, I have nothing but high expectations! UPDATE: I've now been going to Active Care Chiropractic for several weeks for treatment. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Comer and Dr. Block are both very knowledgeable and attentive. They have enough staff to keep their patients moving through the different aspects of care (stretches, chair massage, adjustment, STEM, acupuncture, etc). This is a great team operating a streamlines operation, yet offering personalized care.

Where to begin? I have been going to ACC for 3 or 4 years now. I went in because I was having severe lower back issues and migraines, I suffered from Aura's with almost complete blindness and sick stomach from the migraines. After the initial visit, which was free and included x-rays, they told me what they felt would help correct a couple of obvious issues with my spine. Within just a few treatments I could feel a real difference. Once I had completed their recommend treatments they did more xrays and when compared side by side with the original xrays you could see the visible difference. Since then I go in once a month and have only had 1 or 2 severe migraines, which I caught early enough that i was able to go in and get adjusted and the migraines were completely gone within 30-45 minutes. My lower back rarely hurts and when it does it is usually because I have done something REALLY stupid. I would recommend ACC to anyone! By the way, every adjustment comes with a 5 minute massage!

They book several patients at the same time slot of your appointment so it is a waiting game for every part of the process. The waiting took longer than the process itself. I felt as if 90% of my visit was waiting in the lobby, the rest was a quick adjustment, attempt at small talk and then done and out the door so they could get on to the next patient. For treatment, it's ok. Not the best, not the worst. I would say I felt more like a number in the queue than a name and that's the reason I went elsewhere.
