The office was so accommodating, and Dr. Veera saw me immediately to assess my injuries and begin treatment. Since then, she has also helped to address a knee issue I have had for over ten years (which contributed to the fall that brought me to the office) that has gone unrecognized by every physician I have seen in the past to learn what it is. She is knowledgeable and forthright, always trying to learn more about my health in order to help me treat the source of the problem, not only the pain. My first appointment was quickly after losing my home in Superstorm Sandy. Stress killed my back. I have been to other Chiropractors, but have never experienced the care, the multiple ways of being helped and the understanding I received. I have never felt any question or problem was too small. The problem with my back is no longer a problem. After discussing other subjects, I have learned that a major scar I have is treatable and the appearance and problems it caused are lessening, in just a couple of weeks. When I first went to see Dr. Vera my entire right side was in pain, from my neck to my lower back. It felt as though I was walking tilted, and in fact, the x ray showed that this was the case. Amazing! That is how I describe Dr. Veera Gupta and her staff! I had previously gone to several podiatrists without getting relief and only to hear that I had to undergo surgery in order to correct my Plantar Fibroma and that there was no guarantee that it would not return. Therefore, I decided to forgo the surgery and the associated risks since your feet are the foundation of your body. Instead, I decided to visit Dr. Gupta. Dr. Veera Gupta took her time finding the best possible way to treat my ailment in the least painful way. Since obtaining treatment by Dr.Veera Gupta for only one week, I noticed that my Plantar Fibroma has shrunk and my pain is under control. She is absolutely amazing and extremely compassionate; I could not be happier that I found such a wonderful, knowledgeable doctor and that she was able to help shrink my Plantar Fibroma where all other doctors failed and all they wanted to do was operate. The staff at the office are absolutely wonderful too; they truly do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and at home. Dr. Veera has been treating me for chronic headaches. She spent an extensive amount of time getting as much information from me to treat my headaches. She wrote up a "game plan" for treatment, and I have gone from taking Motrin on a daily basis for the last 3 years, to maybe twice a week for the last few weeks. She is not only giving me admustments, but exercises to do at home. Dr. Veera listens and she truly cares. She is also now treating my husband for his shoulder pain. She was able to get MRI's and ultra sounds ordered and set him up with appointments with the best NY doctors when she felt it was necessary. Her office staff have also been very kind and helpful!! I have suffered with lower back pain due to my profession for at least 10 years and in that time I have been to 5 Orthopedic Physicians, 3 Physical Therapists, 2 other Chiropractors and 1 Pain Management Specialist. By the time I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Veera & Dr. John I had small hope for any help and a very cynical view of the medical profession. I am certainly happy that I took the chance to accept their invitation to meet with them and see how they could help me where everyone else could not. Many traits set Dr. Veera & Dr. John apart from the prior, forgettable doctors: their professionalism should be an example for other doctors in dealing with patients in pain; they are both extremely knowledgeable in a multitude of health fields and are able to give clear and easily understandable explanations for difficult to follow medical issues; both doctors are continually helpful & caring about your condition and how to constantly improve it. I think the single, greatest difference I found with working with Dr. Veera & Dr. John is that they always make time to truly listen to what is happening and how you are feeling through the treatment process. This interactive and ongoing conversation has led to a constantly changing and evolving therapy and healing plan of action that has finally helped me find the relief and healing I have been hoping to find. Also, the group effort of the doctors and their great office staff helps to create the relaxed tone in the waiting room and during your session that I have not experienced in any other doctor's office. All of the office staff are consistently friendly, helpful and thoughtful. I have never had any issue of any kind that was not handled professionally or quickly by everyone in the office. I could continue to list more reasons that Optimum Healthcare stands completely apart from the typical, sub-par treatment that everyone has experienced before at other health care practices but I think the 30+, 5 star ratings prior to mine should create a total concept of what they offer to every patient.

I came to Dr Veera with a compressed disc and in horrible back pain. Not only did Dr Veera get me through my back issues quickly, but she took the time to evaluate my health from a whole body approach. During our initial meeting from a few symptoms I described to her she was able to identify that I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which was proven with bloodwork that my endocrinologist never tested for. I started seeing Dr. Veera after a chronic issue with fluid in my ear. I had already been thru a round of antibiotic drops, nasal spray and oral antibiotic. I had a sinus congestion for about 2 weeks. After 4 days on an antibiotic, nothing seemed to be helping. My wife recommended OHC, after knowing a friend who had similar issues rave about how wonderful their results were with eliminating her sinus infection. Started seeing Dr. Gupta a couple weeks ago because of a feeling of weakness and sensation of tingling in my legs. At this point I hardly ever feel it anymore compared to living with it almost all day long for months. I went to Dr. Gupta for TMJ issues (jaw clicking and pain) and was skeptical whether or not chiropractic treatment would help. I had been living with jaw tension and pain for 5-6 years and never had any kind of treatment before. Dr. Gupta helped my jaw with some massage therapy and taught me exercises I could do at home to help speed up the healing process. Only 2 weeks later (about 4-5 appointments) I already started to notice less jaw clicking when eating and I was able to open my mouth wider than before. Miracle workers!!! Worth the read... Before visiting Dr. Veera, I had already visited a few doctors who all told me the same thing without a real solution. Dr. Veera took all my seemingly unrelated symptoms and pieced them together. Personally, I was having digestive and fatigue problems, anxiety issues, and mostly pain in my back. Dr. Veera did what 3 other doctors could not do!! Now, since I have been coming to Optimum Health Chiropractic, my problems are under control, and I know how to help myself when my problems flare up.
