Dont go here for DOT physical.. I went here for DOT physical and was told I had stomach aneurysm and was told to see someone because if it ruptured I would bleed out in 90 seconds.. My family was horrified and insisted I go to hospital immediately. So I went there and there was nothing wrong with me except now I owe the hospital $8000. Thanks.. maybe you should stick to popping backs and leave the real Dr's to there job

From that point on I became a dedicated athlete and through sports like Snowboarding and Skateboarding repetitively threw my body out of whack, had persisting sciatica, and sore knees. Time and time again I have visited Dr. Smith and felt both tremendously healthier and pain free. He is straight forward and doesn't prescribe adjustments that are not needed and he also takes X-Ray's, which other Chiropractors I have visited in the past have not done. Overall, I wholesomely trust that Dr. Smith has got my back and highly recommend giving him a call or visit if you're experiencing back or knee pain.

I went to a chiropractor regularly as a teenager for problems I had with my neck and lower back. After a little over a year of therapy I was about 95% better and stayed that way until recent years. My spine is nowhere near as bad as back then, but I wanted to return to a chiropractor to make sure I didn't get any worse. I met with two other chiropractors in recent years but wasn't happy with them because they seemed more focus on talking about diet, vaccines, and other tangential things instead of the actual adjustments. Dr. Troy is a chiropractor who is focused on the adjustments and helping me with my alignment. I'm very happy with his care and after just a few adjustments I can already feel an improvement.

But I'd visited enough orthopedists and physical therapists over the years about my alignment issues to be reluctant to invest more time, energy, and money learning about exercises which--despite my rigorous dedication to performing them--never seemed to be of much help. Troy HAS helped. I've visited him three times over the past few weeks and I've already noticed a significant improvement in the alignment of my hips (and consequently, a near absence of pain in my left ankle.) I've only been to one other chiropractor, and I like Dr. Troy better. He is very friendly and listens to you and explains everything before he does it. Dr. Troy is amazing!!! He is by far the best Chiropractor I have ever been to. I told him my problem areas and he fixed them immediately, as well as areas I didn't even know were bugging me! I've been to a lot of chiropractors, I like this place the best, i always feel better after going, and there are physical therapy exercises they insist you do that help with maintenance, and they are very good at dealing with my insurance, and the out of pocket is lower than at other places in the area... That said, they will definitely try and convince you to go as often as possible, ie: "your insurance covers X visits, so lets get you on a schedule to go that many times" it's always up to you, if you want to go 6 times and then stop, they're fine with that, but if you leave it up to them, expect to come in way more often.

I've been to my share of chiropractors over the years, having a daredevil spirit that loves adventures. All I can say, after having Dr. Troy adjust me today for nagging pain that hit high intensity after a yoga class, is he's the best whole spine chiropractor I've ever been to. My entire body is moving without constrictions that I thought were part of getting older! I've never had a Dr take the time he took to explain what he was doing as he made the multiple adjustments throughout my entire spine, as well as what creates the restrictions in the movements of the vertebra. Without a shadow of a doubt, he works to create full function of his patients skeletal & muscular system. Oh, & the first appointment is free! Amazing! Plus, no pressure whatsoever to come back or create a "plan." How does he do this? He's that good, & knows his work speaks for itself. If I have any more issues show up, Dr Troy is the healer I'll be seeing.

Positive experience--I prefer manual (vs. machine) adjustments, which is what Dr. Troy does. He took the time to explain what he was doing at each point during the adjustment, which I appreciated. His method of adjusting the neck area is very different than anywhere I've ever been before. I usually get very tense when I'm about to have my neck adjusted; I found Dr. Troy's method much gentler. Overall, I felt very attended to--the receptionist is so nice!--and I feel good after the work.

The receptionist who booked the appointment was not only very friendly, she was able to get my son in the same day! When we arrived, we found out our first appointment was free which was definitely a bonus. I was thrilled by the exceptional service before even having my son treated. He was in an out of the appointment in 20 minutes. He said he felt so much back pressure relief after the appointment. The doctor loosened his back up nicely. I hope he is good to go now, but if at any point my family members and I need an adjustment I will definitely return to Chiropractic Works Missoula. On an unrelated note, if you have kids that need to come along to your appointment, they had taffy and toys which nicely entertained my daughter in the lobby area. I agree, though, with the previous comment about how the office works: up-selling and trying to lock you into a plan is the norm. I had to be pretty firm about how many visits I could honestly afford and I am going to be vigilant about checking the amount of visits my insurance will cover before I go over (I have a feeling they may not warn me). Overall I do have good experiences, I just feel that the owner (Dr. Francis Smith) might want my money a bit too much.

Been a patient for over 15 years in order to manage some lower disc issues and have found that continuous treatments on a regular basis keep me in pretty good shape - I have found that going too long between visits is not a good idea for me. Now that i have crossed over 80 years It's critical that I maintain as much good movement as possible so that I can continue to ski, play golf, rock climb and ski dive. (Actually just golf and some skiing - I never did any of those other things). Chiropractic treatments are a much better alternative to medicines and pills and hospitals.

I am super picky about who does my Chiropractic care. I want to know where they graduated, I want to know what their techniques are. I also know the first visit is the hardest. You're going to someone new that can either leave you feeling worse the next day than when you went in, or you can dance a jig again just fine. Their patient care, their ability to get a patient in last moment, and how good I feel the next day has me going back for regular adjustments. Their rates are comparable with other offices, their wait time is average for this type of office, and their staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I am frequently forgetful of my appointments, but they are very nice and find time for me despite that. I know I can always call if something new comes up and get an adjustment right away.

Since several bicycle injuries in college my neck and shoulders had often become stiff and extremely painful, and before I started chiropractic work, my lower back starting having problems as well. I've been going to see Dr. Smith a little over a year now, and I've had exceptional results. No more pain or stiffness, and my range of motion is basically full at this point. This past weekend I was water skiing and pulled something in my back. Chiropractic Works had me in on the morning of the next business day, and in five minutes Dr. Smith had me walking and bending without pain. And since I have a plan with them, the visit was free! How can you go wrong with that, right?

Dr Francis is an excellent practitioner. He's willing to work with his clients needs, and takes them seriously on an individual level. Your first couple visits are longer so you can build out a schedule to reconstruct your spinal, and muscular structures around your spine. That also includes hip alignment, neck adjustments and rib adjustments when necessary. Your visits, since well planned, are brief. Which is excellent. The Dr. can make the necessary adjustments within 5-10 minutes. Some people misunderand the brief visits as inconsideration, keep in nind however, that the Doctor's obligation is to render service to our skeletal and muscular structures, not provide extended conversation. Francis is always cordial, with a sense of humor. At first dry, but when understood very friendly, very funny. The front desk ladies are extremely kind as well. Overall, Francis receives a 5 Star Rating, here's why: 1. He's always prepared, cordial, brief and gets the job done right the first time. This gave him 1 Star. 2. His front desk assistants are always polite, and do their best to work around your needs. This gives 1 Star. 3. After just 2 months, my wife and I (both after car accidents) feel better than we have in years. Also, other medical professionals have commented on our improved alignment. This provides 3 Stars. In short, the experience from front desk, to laying on the table, to moving around afterwords, provides an overall "near perfect" experience. Hense 5 Stars. P.S. There is no logic bringing fault to a mans practice because your free medical coverage doesn't cover more than 10 annual visits. Charging a fair, and relatively lower rate, (when comparing practices) isn't greed, its a practical business necessity. My recent experience prior to Francis is that Chiropractic MD's charge an additional fee, above medicaid benefits, and some health insurances.

I am a nurse of 24 years and a Mom to a great Daughter. I stumbled upon Dr Troy and his staff at just the right time. I have seen many Chiropractors over the years but had not found anyone this good since moving to MT over 8 years ago. I have a history of low back surgery after seriously herniating a disk in 2010, I am very careful who I allow to do any type of work on myself or the ones I love. This includes myself, my Daughter, friends and family and our US Veterans (I am a VA nurse). I went to Dr Troy with severe right hip pain making it difficult to function. First adjustment was free no strings attached "it's true". Didn't know that at first, kept asking how much it was going to be. Makes sense to, have been to Chiropractors in my life in the past that I didn't like but still had to pay the price. Made me feel like they didn't really care, just wanted my money even when I wasn't happy. Doc Troy though, I was very pleased with. I am happy with my adjustment and the results. Very friendly service, very helpful staff. Really felt cared for and about. Had a pinched nerve in my lower back that was making it extremely hard to stand and walk, even hurt just to sit. After my adjustment even though these kind of things don't just magically go away just like that, within 3-hours I was feeling much relief not to mention I had been suffering with this pinched nerve for 2 days already. I had to be to work an hour before arriving at Chiropractic Works and meeting Dr. Troy and didn't know if I was going to make it or not due to the pain I was suffering. Had already called numerous other Chiropractors here in Missoula before calling Chiropractor Works and didn't think I was going to find one to help. Doc Troy got me in within an hour of calling and made my life much easier to deal with. I made it to work and within 3 hours of having my adjustment while still at work the pain had dissipated and I was able to make it through the rest of the day. I felt much better the next day though still sore from the nerve being pinched and am still working it out 1 day later and tolerating the soreness in much better spirits. The staff here are the best. I called this morning and only asked to be fixed. The gal at the desk told me to get there in ten minutes and they could help. I filled out the paperwork and Dr. Troy seen me. This guy is a adjustment guru. No xrays or funny business trying to get an extra nickel out of you. More importantly this guy cares.
