As one who has spent most of her life as an athlete and not necessarily understanding/developing my body properly, I have spent a lot of time and money in adulthood trying to correct poor form and get rid of many aches and pains that have developed over the years from poor alignment and different injuries. As a nurse, I want these to be long term fixes and not just a bandaid with a pill or brace. I have seen several different sports medicine doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors and massage therapists for injuries to different joints. Most of them have helped, and I have also learned a lot about my body and movement from them. I was referred to Dr. Chris by a friend. I was told that he wasn't your typical Chiropractor, and she was so right! Dr. Chris did a very thorough and comprehensive exam of my body's ability to move and noticed where I was having difficulty. We spent time discussing MY goals and prioritizing and making a plan...and then we got to work. Dr. Chris is very passionate about his work, and his knowledge is undeniable. I can truly say I am a harsh judge of practitioners, but Dr. Chris has great "bedside manner", communication skills, and does a great job assessing and coaching me on the exercises we perform to get different inactive muscles back into action. It is pretty much like having a very good physical therapist AND a chiropractor in one! I definitely recommend seeing Dr. Chris if you are a human with a body that isn't perfect (so, everyone haha), but especially give him a shot if you have an injury or aches and pains. Don't just "deal" with those things...find the cause and FIX them! It may take some work, but it's worth it, and having a good practitioner makes the process much smoother and more effective. :)
