Dr derek is a knowledgable healer. He and his wife Dr megan, have established a center for total lifestyle wellness right in Ellsworth maine. They have great tips on all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Post injury, Dr derek had been helping my body stay in alignment so that i can heal properly and achieve my fitness goals. They understand the hustle of a busy lifestyle and will work with your scedule. This is definitely an efficient chiropractic center that i reccommend to many people i meet, if they are in town for an adjustment, or year round residents with specific goals in mind. Go talk to these kind, ambitious healers.

I started coming here when I was about 36 weeks pregnant and I only wish I had started coming sooner! They were able to help my hip and pelvic pain tremendously. Now that my little guy is here they've also been able to help me recover from childbirth and are seeing him to make sure he's all aligned after his stressful birth! I highly recommend. :)

These guys are awesome! I am so impressed by them! After going with my boyfriend to his initial visit and watching what they did, I signed myself up too. I want everyone I know to go! They are very thorough and spend time explaining what’s going on with your spine and neck after doing X-rays and an examination. I have been to many back doctors due to my scoliosis and I’ve never had someone explain anything beyond my curve degree, that I need a back brace, and that I may have pain. These guys explain so much more. On top of my scoliosis, if something in particular is bothering me, I tell them at the visit and they adjust it. I was having dizzy spells that went away after explaining them to Dr. Megan and her giving me an adjustment. She could feel all the injuries I’d had to my head even though most of them were over ten years ago. They work with any age (the earlier the better) and I recommend everyone to go see them!!!

I am disappointed. Chiropractors are not a new thing for our family. We moved to the area and signed up here to continue chiropractic maintenance. They were friendly but the charges kept going up and we couldn’t afford the random extra $50 bill or $80 bill on top of our usual adjustments. The doctors were kind but the billing side of things was beyond frustrating. The adjustments were okay but they were not comparable to past doctors we had seen. We have moved on.

I had my first adjustment with Dr. Derek on Wednesday and had a fantastic outcome! For more than two years I have experienced double-vision when looking far to the right or left. Because I have multiple sclerosis I thought it was a symptom of my MS and thought I was going to have it for the rest of my life. After my adjustment I returned to work and noticed that when I looked to my far right I was no longer seeing double. Immediately, I looked to the left and no longer had double-vision on that side either! The double-vision caused me great concern when driving because I had to close one eye when looking to the right or left and I always worried more when my grandson accompanied me in the car. I cannot thank both Megan and Derek enough for opening up here in Ellsworth. They changed my life! Lori

Everyone was so nice and I thought it was nice that Kara gave me a tour of the office once I got there. I felt very comfortable after being a little bit nervous about it being my first appointment. Drs. Megan and Derek are fabulous and really show that they care about your progress. I have appointments three times a week and I look forward to them! Whether you have a serious back problem or just want to increase your overall health everyone at Life Source Family Chiropractic are there to help and educate you! I really like how they have a new patient orientation that just helps to explain what they do and why chiropractic health is so important. Dr. Megan and Dr. Derek are not only well trained and knowledgeable but they help to teach you about what it is that they are doing and looking for. Instead of just "cracking your back" they find problem areas and reasons why you may be feeling the way you are and tell you how you can help fix them. My boyfriend and I have both had problems with our backs his worse then mine. We have both been to different Chiropractors offices but they always hurt us or didn't really explain what was wrong. I think its safe to say that my boyfriend and I won't be leaving this chiropractic! We have only known Dr. Megan and Dr. Derek for a short time but they have a great business going and I am so happy they decided to open it in Ellsworth! Whenever we go we feel welcomed and everyone there is so friendly! I can't wait to tell more and more people about them and how they have helped me and my boyfriend!

I have been trying to find relief from chronic pain for years. Every "solution" only lasted a few days at best. I had never seen a chiropractor and wasn't sure what to expect. Dr Megan, Dr Derek and their office staff were wonderful from my first step in the door. They are thorough, caring and willing to listen and answer questions. After 12 visits, I have gained back a range of motion that I didn't think was possible. My pain level is beginning to decrease and I feel better. When people notice I'm standing straighter, I tell them how great Dr Megan and Dr Derek are!
