I began seeing Dr. Shoemaker over 10 years ago, and I now see one of his associates, Dr. Jarrell. All of the staff members are so kind and helpful, and I feel more like they are caring family members than physicians, physician's assistants, therapists, and administrative staff. They know me, remember my life circumstances, and genuinely seem to care about helping people get to living their healthiest, happiest lives possible. There are an abundance of informational pamphlets on a variety of health conditions, and there are also flat-screen TVs located in the waiting areas as well as some treatment areas, which continuously play health information and tips to help you live your best life. When you leave from a visit, you are given a good amount of printed information to remind you what occurred on that visit, as well as remind you what you need to be doing at home for yourself, and then when to return to see them again. I love having all the instructions for at-home stretching and strengthening exercises, so I can feel more in control of my own health, myself, instead of feeling like I can only get better if I go there. They have taught me that to achieve my optimum health, there needs to be a good balance of self-care, as well as regular visits to their clinic. I am confident that both Drs. Jarrell and Shoemaker truly have my overall well-being in mind, as they both are involved in my care, and each are familiar with my specific health needs and lifestyle. Their instructions, advice, and suggestions are always given with such compassionate yet proficient professionalism, and although I see them for my physical health, my emotional and mental health have also greatly improved and stabilized, and I am just generally more happy about everything Life has to offer. They truly are "healers", and I keep them and their staff in my thoughts and prayers at all times.
