My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome after breaking her ankle in a basketball game. She had extreme pain in her foot that spread to her whole leg, then her other leg and even occasionally to her arms. She was in physical therapy from the time of the break, but her pain didn't lessen enough to get her off crutches for five months. We also tried acupuncture, neurofeedback counseling and another chiropractor. Her pain would lessen a bit, but then return. It was a parent's nightmare - nothing we tried seemed to relieve her pain completely. About a year after her original injury, we started seeing Dr. Dinkel. He adjusted her back, knee and foot twice a week at first, tapering off to once a month now, and her pain improved dramatically. She is now having no pain and thinking about playing sports again. I recommend Dr. Dinkel highly. Not only is he skilled, he is also a really nice guy who truly cares about his patients and their well-being!

Dr. Dinkel is the first chiropractor that I have ever seen. Before going to him I was real leery of chiropractics. I just assumed they would pop your back and take your money. Dr. Dinkel however was the opposite. Between working in IT and sitting infront of computers all day and the fact I had a bad four-wheeling wreck about 6 years ago and ever since then I could not sleep on my left shoulder due to the aching pain. I was finally convinced to visit Dinkel and he was very thorough and listened to where my pain was at. He took the time out of his busy schedule to consult and discuss our options at no cost to me. After that he took a few x-rays to see how my body sitting and could tell what I was favoring and where to concentrate on adjusting. I have been going to him for about 7 months now and I have almost zero pain in my left shoulder and can sleep on my left side like a baby again. He has helped me more than I could ever repay him. When I called the receptionist said there was a free consultation and got me in quickly. After talking with Mr. Dinkel for a couple of minutes he said he wanted to do an "exam" and initial "treatment" and that he would charge $70. He took me in another room took my weight and blood pressure and then pressed with his fingers lightly on my spine for about 30 seconds and commented casually that I should have been looked at for Scoliosis in the past.(even though I'm healthy, athletic and have only had back pain since being pregnant) He then had me sit on the table for the "treatment" which consisted of me laying back twice while he applied light pressure to my back with his palm and then turn to the side and he pressed down. This took about 2 minutes. After probably seeing my look of confusion at this "treatment" he commented that for 99.9 percent of patients he would have done the whole thing but he wanted me to come back again after seeing how I felt. Tomorrow he said if I came back (and of course paid more money) would finish this so called exam (which would include my lower back and pelvis) and when I returned and paid he additional $50 he would do the real "treatment". Then he said I should come in twice a week after that. This all seemed to me an obvious bait and switch tactic to have me simply pay more money to see what the "real" treatment and full exam would have been. Overall I feel that was the biggest waste of $70 ever and not worth my time at all. I am a totally unsatisfied patient. Don't waste your time or money here in my opinion.

Several years ago, my lower back started bothering me. Not super painful, but a nagging ache that was present more often as time went on. Over a five-year period, I went to three orthopedists. The first two took x-rays but found nothing wrong. They thought if I worked on building core strength, this would help. I did core exercises and the ache increased. The third guy gave me a $600 injection which had zero impact. The next step was to deaden the nerve so I wouldn’t feel any pain. That was the dumbest thing I ever heard. Let’s ignore the real problem and find a band-aid. Then I went to Dr. Dinkel. I showed him the MRI the third guy had me do and he took his own x-rays. He immediately saw why I was having back problems. This was two years ago. I am now on a maintenance plan and the frequency of any back discomfort decreased long ago. If I have occasional discomfort, I do my favorite back stretching exercises and I feel better. I knew nothing about chiropractic care prior to Dr. Dinkel. Wish I had discovered it long ago! I now understand how my spine and nervous system impact me from head to toe. Learning which vertebrae needed adjusting helped explain some other non-back issues I was having. And I love that chiropractic care is all natural and doesn’t involve drugs. Dr. Dinkel has helped me with so many other things in my two years seeing him. He had suggested supplements I ought to take. He has answered questions about diet. My ocular migraines have decreased in frequency. With some personal stuff going on, I rarely went to the gym any more. His suggestion got me back to the gym three times a week and working with a personal trainer. He helped me get interested in meditation, which I find so relaxing. And if all this isn’t enough, he is one of the nicest and most caring individuals I have ever met! I love my visits to Dr. Dinkel! On a scale of one to five stars, I give him a 6+!

Angie C. In December 2009 I was hit by a Large crew cab truck while walking across the street. I was hit on the Right side injuring my lower back and right hip. After $15,000 of doctors, specialists and multiple MRI's the orthopedic specialist I was seeing basically said he has done all he could and prescribed Tramadol, Naproxen and Gabapentin to make me able to function but in significant pain. A year after the accident I started having severe migraines to the point it affected my vision and my ability to work. I had a cat scan done and they said I was fine and gave me medications. Shortly after that I went to my chiropractor at the time and showed him my X rays and cat scan. Luckily the scan showed my top vertebrae and it was obvious to him I had been dealing with whiplash for that entire year without treatment. He was able to help but then a few years later I moved to KS. I had basically decided I'd be on all these meds the rest of my life because all the doctors I see said so. In January this year I was working next door to Dr. Dinkel and knew him in passing from day to day. He advised for me to come see him and since my insurance covered chiropractics I did. It is now the end of August and I rarely have migraines, my lower back and hip are now in alignment and the pain is much less. Before seeing Dr.Dinkel I'd go fishing and suffer significant pain the next day. If I went camping I had the same result. If I spent more than 4 hours traveling in the car I'd need a muscle relaxer and more pain meds just to function for the next few day. Today I am not only able to enjoy fishing and camping, I am able to plan a trip that will involve many hours in a vehicle, camping almost every night (for 2 weeks), fishing, hiking and many other fun things. Dr. Dinkel is not only a very humble, generous person, he has made a big difference in my life. I have been gradually reducing the medications I take with the hope of eliminating the need for them altogether. I know this is a long review to read but I hope some who suffer back and hip pain can find it encouraging and helpful. Thank you so much Dr. Dinkel

Great people! I highly recommend Dr Dinkel, he is great with my 9 year old. My 9 year old has asthma that would put him in the hospital 3-4 weeks a year because inhalers and breathing treatments didn't work. I tried everything & felt hopeless. After years of researching and tens of thousands of dollars I finally found that regular chiropractic adjustments is the answer. My son has not had to visit the hospital for over 2 years now & never has any asthma symptoms. This is known by many chiropractors but all the visits to the hospital not one doctor mentioned it. I didn't necessarily have an injury when I first went to see Dr. Dinkel, but something was WAY WAY off and I was in extreme pain. It had been building up apparently! I was able to walk mostly painfree after 2 or 3 visits, which was worlds from when I first saw him. I continue to see him just to keep things in line.
