Just had my first appointment at Nichols Chiropractic with Dr. Beugelsdijk (Dr. B). He was very professional and helpful. He was able to address my problems, give me an adjustment, and recommend things I should do to reduce my discomfort. I felt much better walking out than I did walking in!

I took my 4 month old to Dr. Beugelsdijk for colic. I was out of options and grasping for something to help (she is baby number 5 and I had never dealt with this before)..she would scream constantly, no napping, and nothing would make her happy. We had tried every baby item and acid reflux meds...nothing. Finally several people suggested the chiropractor so I called and was amazed!! After our first appointment she napped for two hours and slept from 8pm to 4am!!!! After the next appointment she was perfect! A brand new baby!!! We have been going off and on when she starts to get back in her colic ways (we have been traveling a lot this summer with lots of car seat time) and every time I'm amazed how much it helps! Everyone in the office is so friendly and accommodating. So happy we have found this place!! If you have a fussy baby run don't walk and make a appointment!!!! I'm a firm believer!!!

I found out about this office through my OB. I was about half way through my pregnancy and starting to really feel the toll it was taking on my lower back and hips, I knew I needed help and what would help. So I called and made my appointment with Dr. Sam B who is a specialist in prenatal chiropractic care. He is gentle and efficient. He worked with me for the good part of the last half of my pregnancy and boy did I need it! This was my second pregnancy, I neglected to get the care that I needed with my first which was one of the reasons I was so affected this time, but with the gentle care of Sam I was able to have a way better labor experience (no drugs)! My labor was shorter, delivery was much easier, and recovery was a lot smoother and faster. He is still my go to guy post pregnancy and will be till we PCS or relocate other wise. I can not encourage women enough to get themselves fully taken care of while pregnant! Pamper yourselves, get adjusted, get a prenatal massage (which they also have available at this office), LADIES TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODIES WHILE PREGNANT! Trust me you will thank yourself, and the chiropractor, for it!

I visited Dr. Beugelsdijk’s office at Nichols Chiropractic for a locked up back. Dr. Beugelsdijk listened to what my problem was, asked me several questions to make sure he understood what and where my problem was. He also did his best to ease any apprehensions I had about chiropractic adjustments. Within 10 minutes, he had my back unlocked and feeling much better as well as found a few other spots that were tight and needed adjusting. I walked out of the office feeling 100% better than when I arrived. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sam Beugelsdijk and staff to anyone in the Manhattan and surrounding communities looking for a chiropractor that will diagnose your problem quickly while providing a very comfortable environment.

After having debilitating SI joint pain with my second pregnancy, I decided on trying chiropractic care for my third. It was the best decision! I started care with Dr. B at 22 weeks and delivered a 9lb 8oz baby at 40 weeks and 2 days; naturally with no interventions and no shoulder issues. Both of my other babies had shoulder dystocias to some degree or another. I had almost no SI joint pain at all with this pregnancy and was able to continue daily walks of 1-3 miles throughout. It has been, by far, my easiest recovery...even though it was my biggest baby. The Webster Technique works...and Dr. B is a wonderful care provider!

When I was pregnant, I noticed a lot of round ligament pain. Sometimes, that pain could be frightening, because it could come on very suddenly and with a lot of intensity. Dr. B helped a lot with the round ligament pain with adjustments and stretching. I also had back pain, particularly toward the end of my pregnancy due to how my baby was positioned. Lying on the adjustment table to stretch and be adjusted helped immensely. I always slept much better in the days after I’d had an adjustment. I absolutely would recommend that any pregnant woman see Dr. B at Nichols Chiropractic because he is trained in the Webster Technique and is a great doctor. I know I would have spent the majority of my pregnancy uncomfortable, stiff and sore if it wasn’t for Dr. B. Dr. B has helped with my post-partum adjustments as well, as my body returns to its normal shape and size. Ligaments and joints become much looser in pregnancy, so as they’re returning to normal, some stiffness and soreness can be a problem. Chiropractic adjustments have helped me a lot.

Dr. Beugelsdijk specializes in chiropractor services for expecting moms. I have been going to see him since I was 10 weeks along and I cannot tell you how much better I feel. He never appears rushed and really spends quality time with his patients. I feel that I am getting my money's worth. I have never gone to a chiropractor that has made such a difference in the quality of my life! Many times during my pregnancy, I have gone in with an intense headache, body aches and pains, and just feeling stressed overall. The result is fantastic! I can feel the effects right away and they last. If you are pregnant, Dr. B is one of the only chiropractors in the area that is trained/certified in the Weber method. You will not be disappointed and it's will help you not only with your pregnancy but with your birthing process as well. Nichols Chiropractic takes most insurances so normally, you would only have to pay a copay. Dr. B is the BEST chiropractor I have ever had by far.

After going to Dr. Beugelsdijk , who is certified in the Webster technique, the pain in my hips and back went away. I was finally able to sleep at night and move about during the day without any pain! I look forward to my weekly sessions with Dr. Beugelsdijk. He's is very informative and answers any questions I may have about the Webster technique. If you are pregnant and having back/hip/joint pain, I highly recommend a visit to Dr. B!

I started to see Dr. B after my OBGYN recommended him for my back and hip pain and overall pain/discomfort from being pregnant. It was the best decision I made. After a few sessions I was able to sleep through the night, my sciatic pain started to go away, round ligament pain went away and I could finally walk and finally felt normal. I am 34 wks pregnant now and have been going to see Dr. B for a couple weeks now and I'm amazed at how I feel and will continue to see him until baby comes and afterwards. For anyone unsure about treatment during pregnancy I completely understand, I was hesitant but so glad I made the call and I trust you will feel so much better too. Dr. B is very kind and truly cares about your health and comfort. I 100% recommend him for care during your pregnancy and even if you aren't.

Excellent service and very caring, helpful physician. He always does adjustments when I need them and Acupuncture has been wonderful! and life changing. Walk-is are welcomed but expect to wait for your walk-in appointment. Only complaint is office furniture.

If you are having back pain associated with pregnancy, there is no need to suffer. Dr. Beugelsdijk is very skillful and knowledgeable about pregnancy-related pains. I was very pleased with his professional expertise. I had terrible lower back pain in the last weeks of pregnancy. After just one session, my pain was largely alleviated. I highly recommend anyone with back pain see him, but especially women in late pregnancy. You will not be disappointed!
