I met with Dr Candace as a last shot to help our 6 week old with colic. He screams from 7pm - 10pm each night...NOTHING had helped. We saw Dr Candace at about 4:30 one day. That evening I braced for the hours of screaming to begin, but it never came!!! He was calm and relaxed all evening. I thought I was dreaming!! We are more than grateful for her expertise in babies!! Definitely going back ☺️

I think this group of Ladies are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. In just a few weeks, they have me moving easier. Starting to get back to where I was when I was going to Health Source Tempe in AZ. Dr Sandy and Hannah have had their work cut out for them but I am able to walk with less pain. Thank you so much!!!! I first started going to HealthSource in WDM because it was close and convenient to my office. I had been seeing another chiropractor for many years but wasn't satisfied with the care I was receiving. All of my concerns we alleviated after my first visit with Dr. Candice. At HealthSource I do not feel like I am just a number or like one adjustment style fits all, which I had been used to. My care at HealthSource is personalized from my workouts to my adjustments. Dr. Candice always asks how I'm doing or if I've got any other questions or concerns about my health. In one instance I told her I had a terrible sinus cold and she used a facial massager on me to help clear my sinuses. Not only did it work, but it demonstrated to me that the doctors are more than chiropractors, they are true care providers. I would highly recommend to anyone in search of chiropractic care or anyone who is wondering if better care could be provided, to visit the HealthSource team in West Des Moines. Everyone is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and they truly make a difference.

I used to have headaches more than 20 days of the month before I went to healthsource. I've been to other chiropractors over the years, even upper cervical to give me relief. I went through the whole program and they helped me fix the problem at the source by strengthening my muscles so I could actually support my spine and head. I am now on wellness after completing the recommended care and I am healthier and have at most 3 headaches a month- and only after a long week working at the computer. I am so grateful for the team at healthsource and I just know you will love them!

Staff is friendly and treatment plan is good however, it is about profit for Healthsource. I know two others who had a diagnosis/treatment plan set up around the timeframe mine was. All of us were told we needed 42 treatments and the cost was astronomical. I was well into my first few weeks of treatment and inquired if I could continue with my exercises at home and only come in for back adjustments to save on my cost. I was told by Sandy that this isn't recommended and she went on to defend all the benefits of the whole plan. I stated I agree it is a great plan or I wouldn't be there but I inquired why I am paying for my PT at Healthsource when I can do all the exercises at home and will continue to do so consistently. She again promoted the whole plan and wasn't interested in just treating my chiropractic needs. I was quite disheartened as I liked her, trusted her and realized that it truly wasn't about me the patient, and all about revenue for HealthSource. My bill arrived soon after and the PT portion was around $120/visit and the chiropractor portion is $55. This confirmed my suspicion as I realized I was being charged around $170 per visit, FAR exceeding what I would pay elsewhere. I've since got connected with another highly recommended chiropractor who is treating me consistently and I am noticing the benefits. In addition, it is only costing me $50/visit. I feel my new chiropractor has a more honest and cost effective approach at treating my joint health. Because of the staffs "extra friendly" customer service I feel others are easily swept into their high dollar plan like I was initially. I feel a bit scammed by someone I trusted and it's not a great feeling.

I've been under the care of the team at HealthSource since November, 2015. In the last 5 months I've felt better than I have in years. Dr. Sandy and her team take a whole-health approach and then educate you so you can work together to determine your best course of action. The interest in my heath and well-being is demonstrated by every member of the team, even those I don't see beyond saying "hello" while I'm in the office through the personalized conversations they are all able to have. Dr. Sandy Bowman and the HealthSource team have literally changed the way I think about my body. I have been getting adjusted for about 3 years now, and I've never felt better! I am a fairly healthy woman in my 30's that works at the computer all day. I don't have injuries or chronic pain, but I do have posture issues and tightness in my neck and shoulders. Regular visits to HealthSource help keep my body aligned. Their unique approach to combining adjustments with physical therapy ensures that I can continue to maintain great health. And when I'm traveling or the office is closed and I don't feel right, I have a set of exercises that I can follow to bring relief.

I had my first massage there. My work provided us with free chair massages and the chiropractor from Healthsource immediately detected that I had some major tension at the base of my skull. I had never been to a chiropractor before and thought that my headaches were caused my pressure in my head and not muscle tension in my neck. I have chronic muscle tension and knowing it now I can have it treated properly. After my first massage I was headache free for 5 straight days. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

I first chose HealthSource based on the convenient location and it's proximity to my home. Before meeting Dr. Sandy, I was very skeptical about my visit because I had already visited 4 other chiropractors and they were all bad experiences. I have back pain since high school and I mostly chose to ignore it which progressed into arthritis. I didn't know how bad my back was until I met Dr. Sandy. My initial exam with Dr. Sandy was more informative than all of my previous visits with other chiropractors before her. When my insurance couldn't pay for all the cost, Dr, Sandy referred me to a different location for my physical therapy which greatly strengthening my muscle. Her and her staffs are very supportive and understanding. They will try to help you in anyway they can and if they can't they will refer you to the right places. I definitely recommend people to give this place a try. They also have two great masseuses to work around your schedule if you want to book an appointment. They sometime have free yoga session on Saturday's mornings. If you're unsure of the place, go to one of the yoga sessions and see it for yourself. It's free for members but I don't know about new potential patients. Never hurt to check them out or schedule an appointment- it may change your life, because it did for mine.

I cannot recommend Healthsource enough! Back in May when I started treatment I was having wicked back pain when walking. They were able to schedule an appointment the next day. Through X-rays and an initial exam we laid out a treatment plan that included active therapy and adjustments. Dr Sandy and Dr Candace were great and paid attention to any additional aches or pains I encountered. They got my body back into alignment by targeting the root cause of the pain. Which to me is much better than a course or a lifetime of medication. Their physical therapist, Heather, taught me how to care for and strengthen my core muscles. The pain has gone away and I’m able to exercise and perform poses in Yoga, which is something I was not able to do when I started treatment. I’m grateful to have my flexibility back and am looking forward to maintaining it through their wellness program!

After spinal surgery and being told I'd never fully recover and would use a cane for the rest of my life...I ran into Dr. Bowman at a local vitamin shop. She immediately noticed my difficulties and approached me. With the sweetest disposition you could imagine and a genuine concern for a stranger... She says "I can help you". After telling her what I had been through and what the prognosis was, we scheduled an appointment. After daily visits for months...I walked into her office without the use of a cane. It's now been almost 5 years of continued therapy, adjustments and simple care and concern from Dr. Bowman and her associates. I'm pleased to announce, today. .. Although not 100%...I can "do" most things on my own, I can walk by myself and I'm able to function daily. It won't be long, but I foresee being able to feel productive and self supportive once again. When times haven't been the best and the pain has been unbearable, chiropractic care from Dr. Bowman has been a salvation. God bless each and everyone there that has put forth such efforts to assist me during this path in life... If not for their support, I don't know that I'd of even survived. Trust me...
