Before starting care, I considered myself to be a pretty healthy person. I didn't have any initial pain or complaints, but I still wanted to check it out. I can honestly say that since I started care here, my overall well being has dramatically improved. I used to have chronic fatigue and depression. These were things that I didn't think chiropractic care could fix. I couldn't have been more wrong! I am no longer tired throughout the day, and my state of mind is in a MUCH better place. My journey began on September 19, 2016 when I had finally had enough of my neck and back in excruciating pain. I have been a dancer since the age of three and frequented my family chiropractor. At this point in my life, the facility was too far to drive regularly. I “Googled” chiropractors in the area of Crystal Lake and found Crystal Lake Family Wellness and their raving reviews. I was to be the judge of that. I called up and Dr. Josh answered. I pleaded for an appointment and guidance where he graciously let me come in that very afternoon. That day would have forever changed my life. My husband and I went together where Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily welcomed us with open hearts and minds. They were excellent listeners with the true definition of bedside manner. I completed my X-Rays, consultation with Dr. Josh, was adjusted and introduced to the rolling table. The rest is history. From September on, I have been under treatment from Crystal Lake Family Wellness. Frequenting the office three times per week, completing all of the physical therapies, the at-home therapies, where I quickly saw a difference in my body all around. I have suffered from digestive issues since I was 18 (on top of being a dancer my entire life) and as my treatment at CLFW progressed, I could see a total difference. In November, I slowly began weaning away from the many pills I “needed” to take in order to eat a bite of food. This was due to the treatments and in hopes of one day becoming pregnant. It is now July, and I am now 9 months pregnant. Since finding out we were expecting in early December, their treatments have made my pregnancy smooth and feeling like a million bucks! Although we were unable to take X-Rays again after my official treatment cycle, the proof is in me! It is because of Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily that my physical and mental state of mind has changed. No need to pay for medicines or psychologists. No words can truly describe Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily. Their passion, compassion, knowledge, and love for chiropractic care and their patience is indescribable. They genuinely care about each and every person that walks through their door. My entire family is treated by Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily. Their office is second to none in this area...and we have been to a very popular pediatric office, as well as a family Chiro. Both doctors take the time to listen, understand, and make sure we leave better than when we walked in. They have helped treat a nasty ear infection, athletic aches and issues, moderate skeletal misalignment, and are a wealth of knowledge with natural healing. I was a sceptic when it came to Chiropractic care then I had my knee replaced and everything went wrong with my body! A good friend and a couple other people told me I should go to a Chiropractor I said No. I met Dr Josh and Emily at Crossfit which I was attempting to do with my therapy, they told me to come in for a seminar and the information was very interesting so I said fine Ill try it! Well I cannot even tell you all the ways my health has improved from Sleeping lots better to being able to do so many things I thought I never would again, Even my Crossfit ability got better and I have gotten rid of some medications and Dr's! It took a little while doing all the therapies and adjustments but The results are amazing and these guys are the best I highly recommend them there treatments will improve all aspects of your life.

Dr. Josh and Dr. Emily are fantastic with our family. My 2 children ages 7 and 8 just love to go! They get adjustments and love doing their in office therapies! Chiropractic care has also improved my sons struggle with ADHD! My husband and I also love the care we receive and how it has changed our day to day lives. As a former gymnast, I have had significant neck and back pain for years. Last summer, I got fed up and decided to try chiropractic again (I have visited a chiropractor once before, and I didn't really know what was happening, other than me getting adjusted...). I knew within the first five minutes of visiting CL Family Wellness that this was not any ordinary chiropractor's office. Dr. Josh spoke with me at length about what exactly chiropractic accomplishes and how. I was educated thoroughly on the practice and spinal health which made me feel very comfortable with pursuing treatment. Additionally, CL Family Wellness took x-rays and showed me just how jacked my neck, spine, and hips really are, and it was shocking (my other chiropractor did no such thing...) . After getting through the soreness of the first month, I feel AMAZING!! Not only have the doctors at CL Family Wellness helped significantly ease the daily pain I initially went there for, but I also started sleeping much better and have more energy and general happiness than before treatment. In addition, the doctors at CL Family Wellness have taught me so much about my own health and wellness along the way. I believe in Dr. Josh and Dr. Emilie's approach which includes warming up and stretching muscles that support your spine.
