Dr. Elliot did the PT work after my shoulder surgery. He did an awesome job and I"m nearly back to normal with no pain well before I thought I would be. He was very clear with his directions, gave me great take-home exersizes and stretches and I was really pleased with his approach and personality. I would definitely reccomend Pioneed and Dr. Elliot if you are in a position for PT, rehab or chiro work. -Glen

I have been going to the Dr Burtenshaw for years. When I first started having really bad back pain I went to a chiropractor, and nothing changed. I then started seeing Dr Burtenshaw and with his help my back started feeling better. I have even continued to see him throughout two pregnancies. For those of you who know how uncomfortable and painful being pregnant is, he made it much more comfortable. I even had a car accident two months before my baby was supposed to be born and he helped me come back from that. I recommend him to anyone I know, because it's hard to find Doctor you trust. He deserves all 5 Stars!

I have been getting treated by Dr. Elliot and Dr. Burtenshaw for my pain on both of my hands (Carpal Tunnel) and on my left elbow (Tennis Elbow). I have had the pain for a very long time. The office is very clean, and there is an exercise room with equipment where you can exercise the areas of your body that are getting treated. The doctors are very knowledgeable, staff are very kind, and they know what they are doing. They are giving me some different options for treatment that the other chiropractors didn't try. They actually take the time to help you get rid of your pain as fast as you can. Today was my 7th visit, and I feel a lot better than 1 month ago when I started going there. I would definitely recommend this place!

We LOVE this clinic!! I have used this clinic for years. I recently referred my daughter to Dr Burtenshaw because she was applying for a job and needed a note stating that she was healthy enough to lift 50lbs. He gave he a physical test and gave her a note. He also taught her how to lift heavy objects and recommended that she come regularly for a while, so that the clinic could help her strengthen her core to make her job a bit easier. Very Caring Team. Someone rear ended me and I had a terrible headache that would not go away. I went to Dr Burtenshaw and he did the graston technique and my headache got less and less. After a few visits it is completely gone! If anyone has chronic headaches I would recommend making an appointment. The staff and him are awesome!

Best decision I ever made was seeing him. The staff was so comforting and accommodating to my needs. This center is one of the best around the building is beautiful, clean, and organized. They have a very inviting atmosphere, the staff is incredible (M.A. Tyler is amazing) and Dr. Dustin Elliott DC is the doc that I go to he is incredible, and does great work. I started going here because I was having major back pain to the point that I could barely bend over and it was getting worse and worse over time finally my wife sent me here and set me up with an appointment. When we got in they were so inviting and made me feel comfortable and at home. I didn't feel like I was rushed or anything similar to that. When I met the doc I talked to him about everything he had me move around a bit to check my range of motion and new right away what to do. So I got my first adjustment ever, i have never been to a chiropractor or anything like this so i didn't know what to expect. But I got this 1st adjustment and, needless to say it was a bit emotional because I have been living with this pain for a long long time and finally someone had something that could help me. Since then I have been going there just about every week and I can now stand tall and I can reach my toes finally it's just so incredible. They also offer massages and rehabilitative care for injuries. If you are having issues and pains and are not getting anywhere with the your doctor I highly recommend these guys. Also they gave us a great deal and I couldn't believe how cost effective they are it's so affordable! Please if you are having pain go in and talk to Dr. Elliott he Is incredible.

I came to Pioneer to get help with some headaches I had been getting that I believed to be due to my posture, as well as to get some help with a rib that had recently begun hurting. Some family members had recommended Dr. Burtenshaw and I had put it off for a while but with my rib as sore as it was I decided to come in. When I called they ended up having me see Dr. Elliott instead, but I decided to keep an open mind. Over the course of a few weeks I came twice a week and received a variety of treatments, including chiropractic adjustments, electric stimulation with heat therapy, infrared therapy, stretching and exercise, and the Graston Technique. It didn't take long for my headaches to disappear with the posture exercises that Dr. Elliott showed me, which directly helps me at work since I work at a computer all day and sometimes get very focused on the screen. The rib also improved with time. They are issuing me a physician's note to purchase a convertible standing desk for work, which note allows me to use pre-tax dollars for it. Overall I feel healthier and better equipped to take care of my health moving forward, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The office is clean and nice. The equipment seems of high quality and the staff seem knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk with. It is nice that they have a variety of office hours to work with a variety of schedules. I live in North Meridian so it's a little bit of a drive but I actually enjoy the trip.

Saw Trish Savage for a massage before seeing the chiropractor and she did a wonderful job at helping my muscles relax and prepare for the adjustment. The chiropractor that helped me at Pioneer was very good at explaining how he was going to adjust my joints and why it was important to not just force it if the muscle around the joint was too tight to allow for that particular adjustment. After seeing the chiropractor they had me see another lady that helped me understand certain exercises I needed to do to improve my situation. Overall would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a chiropractor and massage therapist.

Dr Burtenshaw is AMAZING to say the least. I have been receiving chiropractic care from other providers for the past 10 years. I finally reached a point of not wanting to continue with just the 'maintenance' because I wasn't seeing results. Pioneer Sports and Pain Center was recommended to me by a coworker because they address more than just a manipulative adjustment and done. Appointments run hourly which says a lot right there. I was able to get my first appointment quickly and after my appointment today, I feel like a different person. I can't say enough about this entire team at Pioneer, but specifically Dr. Elliott! My family and I recently moved from Portland Oregon and with any move, there is a tremendous amount of twisting and turning that comes with it. I was in a great deal of pain, but struggled to go to just 'any chiropractor' to piece me back together. I am a HUGE advocate for the Graston technique and it's not a skill that just any chiropractor has. Enter, Pioneer! From my experience, Graston has healed me quicker than chiropractic care alone; it pairs perfectly with the entire experience. Dr. Elliott, at Pioneer, is incredible! Not only with his overall chiropractic techniques, which are 2nd to none, but his 'bedside manner' in which he listens intently, asks all the right questions to pinpoint your problem, and gives you all the tools to help you feel better far faster than I've ever experienced. Having been going to a chiropractor for 20+ years, I assure you and give you my word, Pioneer is worth the short drive to Kuna! I wouldn't go anywhere else, even if it was right next door!

EFFECTIVE! CARING! I started therapy for a broken fibula and tibia. I have had multiple surgeries of the past year and a half. I had no idea what to expect when I walked through the door... Once Dr. Burtenshaw gathered my history of the injury and assessed the current state my leg was in he was very upfront with the work it was going to take to rehab my leg. He began with a method to remove the swelling in my leg explaining to me this will help with the healing process. Within one week (3 treatments) the swelling was cut in half. The pain and aching was greatly diminished. I was honestly skeptical but I am now a true believer. The results speak volumes and I will definitely recommend this establishment to anyone that needs results and wants to heal quickly. Dr. Burtenshaw and the entire staff has been nothing but amazing, kind and caring. Thank you!

I've been dealing with a chronic shoulder injury, with pain and limited ROM, for 18 months. A course of traditional PT was unsuccessful. Finally, I found Dr. Burtenshaw who properly diagnosed the issue. Through creative use of various modalities - chiropractic adjustments, Graston, dry needling, cupping, and most critically, mobilization and manipulation - my functionality is incredibly improved and the pain is significantly reduced. Dr. Burtenshaw and his staff potentially saved my sons life. My son fell off a trampoline and sustained an injury to his neck/shoulder area. I took him to the ER in Meridian and they did an x-ray of his shoulder, denying my request they x-ray his neck. They sent us home telling us everything was fine. The next morning, I called Pioneer Sports and Pain in Kuna because they had worked previously with my husband and I in relieving our own injuries and doing chiropractic work. I was in a panic and explained the ER had sent me home but I felt something might be wrong and asked if we could be seen. They had us come in immediately, and Dr. Burtenshaw did an extremely thorough examination of my 2 year old son. He send us to get appropriate medical imaging where we discovered he had a complete break in one of the bones in his neck, and also another hairline fracture. My son also went on to get a cat scan and was evaluated by a neurosurgeon to see if surgery would be necessary. I am SO GRATEFUL that despite having another Dr. tell us our son was fine, Dr. Burtenshaw relied on his own instincts and sent us to get the appropriate medical attention my son needed. It will be a long road ahead and a long healing process, but I am so grateful we didn't move forward in the dark. I will never go anywhere else! He is a caring and compassionate Dr, and his staff is just as wonderful. We are forever grateful for this wonderful facility right here in Kuna. THANK YOU.

You guys, I am healed! I cannot say enough about Dr. Burtenshaw and his wonderful staff. I just moved to the area and in terrible pain with a pulled hamstring. After a horrific car accident in late 2014, I wouldn’t trust ANYONE besides Dr. Burtenshaw or Dr. Elliot! Both doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient! They take the time to figure out what is causing the pain! The staff in the office is friendly and knowledgeable with maximizing your insurance benefits! I would highly recommend Julie and Trish the massage therapists as well! Honestly you will not be disappointed with this office!

Highly recommended! I was in an auto accident and had injuries to my neck and back. Dr. Elliott took care of me. It wasn’t just spine cracking. He got me out of pain and then strong enough to be discharged in a couple of months and I couldn’t thank him enough. I chose pioneer sports and pain center for my physical therapy because my surgeon recommended them highly and their location was great for me. So far they have been excellent in the treatment of my multiple injuries. They started me off pretty slow and delicately but within 3 weeks I have improved to about 75% which is awesome since 3 weeks ago I couldn't tie my own shoes. Dr. Dustin Elliott is a sincere chiropractor who is genuinely concerned for the well-being and health of his patients. He has helped my wife and I many times with any neck pain and/or back trouble that we have had. Dr. Elliott is also really proficient with extremity adjusting. I have recently learned that Dr. Elliott just became certified in performing dry needling on patients! I am excited to try it out and I’m extremely grateful for a doctor who is open and willing to keep learning as he practices!

I was experiencing significant shoulder pain for a couple of weeks before I made my appointment. I finally called when my hand and fingers started to tingle. I wish I hadn't waited so long! Dr. Elliott introduced me to dry needling coupled with STEM therapy and chiropractic adjustments. After just a couple of sessions I felt such relief. Dry needling is AWESOME! As I felt better I was shown physical therapy exercises to strengthen my shoulder and surrounding areas. Dr. Elliott, Dr. Burgenshaw and staff are truly first rate!

Great staff, great service. Went to Burtenshaw for pain and has been great at reliving that chronic pain. Has been able to see me within the hr when i have woken up with severe pain. Shown me some exercises to strenghten muscles that are weak to prevent more aches but biggest help has been dry needeling and grasten to losen up scar tissue. Highly highly recommend them.
