I have a mixed review of the Oda Clinic. On the plus side, the 6 laser treatments I had relieved me of about 75% of my pain. I have a severe scoliosis and have had chronic back and hip pain for years. Massage, acupuncture, yoga, etc all helped somewhat but it always came back. Orthopedic docs wanted to operate and install rods of course, which I wanted to avoid at all costs as well as cortisone shots. When I saw the ads I was skeptical, but desperate as the pain had become acute and I could hardly function. To my great amazement and relief, I felt a big difference after just one treatment, and after the 2nd one, all the acute pain was gone! Subsequent treatments continued to give me relief, and after the 6th one, about 75% of my chronic pain was gone too. Dr. Paris Oda couldn't have been nicer and more personable, very easy to communicate with and very caring. On the down side, I don't really understand why it has to be so expensive, $1500 for 6 sessions ($1450 paying cash), and at half hour/session, that translates to $500/hour! The office is somewhat small and plain in an older bldg in need of refurbishing, and I'm sure the laser machine didn't cost thousands of dollars, so why such a high price for treatments? Doc did say that after an initial 12 treatments the price goes down for subsequent maintenance level treatments but he didn't say how much. They don't seem to be the kind of people to be taking advantage of people in pain, desperate for help like I was, so I can't reconcile this issue in my mind and I hesitate to bring it up with them. I'll probably save up for another 6 sessions, just because it did help SO much and I want to make sure I don't regress, just wish it wasn't so expensive!
P.S. I too had bad experiences with the rude receptionist, so glad they finally got rid of her!
