I have only been to 2 chiropractors in Philly. The first gave me an appointment, poked around at my spine, said he couldn't do much to help me, and then charged me $80 and told me I could either "come back next week....or not." Naturally, I looked for a new person. I was able to make an appt quickly with Dr. Rubin after explaining to the staff the problems I was having. On various occassions, Dr. Rubin spent more time with me than a normal appointment. He seems to generally care about the well being of his patients and doesn't just quickly shove them out the door. He is respectful and always told me where he was going to touch me, apply pressure, etc. If you are looking for a chiro, I would recommend Dr. Rubin. The office location is convenient if you work in CC and they accomodate urgent appointments (which I greatly appreciate). I have seen Dr. Rubin for 2 injuries (including at the old location near Chestnut St), and I have been pleased overall with the results.

Dr. Rubin's practice is conveniently located in Center City Philadelphia. His approach is warm and welcoming. Upon entering his office you are offered a cup of tea or water and invited to relax or begin treatment immediately. Rarely do you have to wait before being seen. Dr. Rubin's technique is thorough, gentle, and effective. He incoroporates a variety of methods including electric stimulation, ultrasound, and massage therapy. Most recently, I have been receiving massages from CeCe prior to my chiropractic treatments and she is amazing! Definitely one of the best massages I have ever experienced and so inexpensive :) There are licensed massage therpaists available every day and the office is open six days a week! The staff is ultra accommodating and I have never had any problems scheduling an appointment that works with my schedule :) :) :)

I scheduled my first appointment with Dr. Rubin after severe sciatic pain and lower back pain which I have had in the past. There is usually nothing that helps relieve the pain and it can last for a month at a time and is excruciating. When I arrived at Dr. Rubin’s office I could not walk without help or get up without help. Dr. Rubin not only used a variety of Chiropractor methods to help easy my pain but also insisted that I stay longer so he could help me stretch and would not let me leave until I could walk on my own. After just two sessions I saw a major improvement. In less than 4 sessions I was back at work (and my job is very physical) and after a few additional sessions I was even better than before the pain began. Dr. Rubin’s massage therapist Korey is amazing too! He really knows how to give a great massage and asks all the right questions to help customize your treatment. Dr. Rubin is exteremly patient, kind and truly wants to help his clients. He is one of the best Doctors I have ever worked with. He listens and tailors the treatments to your specific needs. He tracks your progress remembers your concerns and addresses them using more than just one kind of treatment. I would recommend making an appointment with him regardless of whether or not you are experiencing any pain. Chiropractic care will change your body and your life. Last week I was in so much pain from a work related injury in my sternum my entire right side was non-functional. I went to Dr.Rubin on a Monday in tears, I could barely hold my arm up the pain was so horrible. By my second appointment on Wednesday the pain was almost gone. It's easy making an appointment with staff--you get in the calendar relatively quickly. Once you're there, wait time is short--maybe 10 minutes tops. Dr. Rubin will ask you a bunch of questions about how you're feeling, what pain you might have, getting a full picture of the problem. When i was in a car accident in early November I had really bad back pains. I had started to lose sleep due to numbness in my back. I started to look for a chiropractor near my area and came across Dr.Rubin. I saw all the great reviews and quickly gave him a call. He was so concerned by my injury that he opened up a spot so he could see me that day. I was shocked because other doctors usually make you wait for a long period of time but I could tell just how much he cared about my well being that he made an opening for me. When i arrived at the office the staff treated me so kindly and made me feel right at home . They were so helpful in filling out my paperwork and calling my insurance company to make everything less stressful. The Doctor was even more kind in how quick he started my visit and to see the extent of how bad my injury was. Dr.Rubin is to my feelings the best at what he does and how well he treats his clients. I started going to Dr. Rubin about a year ago for neck pain. Before that, I was practically living on ibuprofen and often wearing a neck brace. After one visit my pain had lessened. Although he recommended a course of treatment that was more than I could handle time-wise, he was completely empathic and was more than willing to work with me within my schedule. I saw him about once a week for a few months, then once every two weeks; now I go on an as-needed basis. His adjustments are incredible--gentle and effective--and his traction table isn't bad, either! I totally recommend him.

Need a chiropractor? You need to see Dr. Rubin at Paul Rubin’s Chiropractic and Wellness Center! I was in three car accidents before the age of 18 and have been to several chiropractors before moving to Philadelphia 7 years ago. Throughout the years I have had constant lower back pain and received temporary relief from several chiropractors in the city. One day my acupuncturist Cheryl Broad at the Art of Wellness told me my back was in need of an adjustment. I went to Dr. Rubin the next day on my lunch break. Dr. Rubin was timely and gave me immediate relief. He suggested I follow a plan of coming in to see him 3 more times so that my lower back could be aligned appropriately. This was about 6 months ago. I can finally say my lower back no longer bothers me! I often call and get same day appointments, which is a plus. The receptionist, Alexis is friendly. There are complimentary drinks, which I have never seen at a chiropractors office before! The office is centrally located on Walnut Street right next to Tiffany’s. It’s easily accessible from Suburban Station and the 9, 21, 42 buses that run on Walnut Street drop you off the corner.

Dr. Rubin is quirky and rude. He doesn't notice how obnoxious and loud he can be. He comes across like he has no respect for his staff and he even ask people to write him good reviews. He tries way to hard and makes you feel very uncomfortable. His office is small and cheap looking. The staff was great but were not fit for a someone like him. I wouldn't recommend someone so money hungry. I feel as though he doesn't care about his patients, he is just worried about the money. When i went to his office he didn't even acknowledge me, therefore after waiting 20 minutes and him walking by me 3 times I left. I was not satisfied with my visit to Dr. Rubin's office.

My pain was so bad that holding my head up was a very difficult task each day, resulting in countless headaches. My range of motion was very limited as well as my ability to work out. I appreciate that he does not "up sell" like other chiropractors that I have been to before; he has been able to fix even the gnarliest of my injuries with alacrity. I have been going to Dr. Rubin for the past 5 years now with extreme back pain from my many back problems. He has consistently helped me through this painful time and I now just go to him once a month for a sort of maintenance plan. There are also times when I do have flare up of pain from inflammation, but I call him, come right in to the office and he is on it!! As long as I keep going to him, I am able to get up out of bed, go to work, do activities that I have not been able to do before I started seeing him. Everything about him is totally professional and caring. In fact, during a recent recovery at home from a broken neck, he is the only one of my doctors, including my primary care physician, that has called and texted me to keep abreast of how I am feeling. Love him and his office staff!! P.S. As for the one negative review, "GET OVER YOURSELF"!! She must have had a bad day and took it out in a review!!!

I am a student from the University of the Sciences and I have been an intern here for 2 months now. Under Dr. Rubin's wing, I have learned many things about chiropractics, natural healing of the body, and most importantly patient interaction. Dr. Rubin treats his patients with the upmost care, attentiveness, and I have never seen anyone unhappy after their pain has been treated by him. I, too, have been treated by Dr. Rubin. My neck and back have been adjusted before (scary at first, but it is the best feeling ever), I've been on the traction table, and I have had my jaw adjusted as well! I developed something called temperomandibular junction (TMJ) where the joints and the muscles of my jaw can be locked, sore, stiff, cracking, and even misaligned. I've always lived with it thinking that there wasn't any way of finding relief for the discomfort until Dr. Rubin helped me. He placed me on the drop table, and with a quick couple of pushes on both sides of my jaw I have never felt so much relief in my life. I will continue seeing Dr. Rubin for TMJ and I highly recommend anyone else who is experiencing any pain. He truly is an excellent physician!

Dr. Paul Rubin is an excellent chiropractor. I went to see him about 2 weeks ago (now May 23rd, 2015), for terrible lower back pain from over-exercising. He completely fixed my back in three sessions! He is a miracle worker with the magic touch. Then right before the fourth session, I fell on 16th street and hurt my right foot. I came here recently and Paul Rubin gave me a neck injury and I didn’t even come in for neck pain. He did not follow my chart. I suggest NOT letting him touch you because now I am dealing with pain I didn’t have before going there. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing. A lot of the equipment in his office doesn’t work well either. Go elsewhere or be prepared for mal practice. He’s a horrible doctor.

It's rare when you find extreme knowledge AND impeccable bedside manner. Dr. Rubin makes you feel extremely welcome and comfortable in his office. He makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world to him in that moment you are with him. Most importantly, he gets results!
