I was struggling with breathing issues as well as chronic upper back pain when I started being treated by Dr. Loy. I had previously been to other chiropractors who would aggressively try to adjust my back and it would just not seem to move, but would cause me more pain. I have been going to West Hartford Chiropractic since I was about 14weeks pregnant. I was having headaches and worsening back pain, which practically disappeared after being continually adjusted by Dr. Laub. I continued treatment throughout my entire pregnancy, even up until my water broke, which happened in the office. I was adjusted and treated before heading to the hospital! I have since taken my daughter to see Dr. Laub ever since she was about 1 month old. I am breastfeeding and Dr. Laub has greatly improved the latch and efficiency of nursing for my daughter. I need to take a few minutes to explain how amazing the care is at West Hartford Chiropractic and how Dr. Laub and his staff have personally helped me. I am a 29 year old APRN and heard about Dr. Laub from my father, who has been going to him for some time now with very positive results. I was about 16 weeks pregnant and started having severe lower back pain primarily on my left side. My father told me how Dr. Laub specializes in pregnancy and family chiropractic. I called the office and scheduled my first visit immediately. After about 2 adjustments my lower back pain disappeared (and NEVER returned). Dr. Laub informed me of how crucial it was to continue seeing him throughout the duration of my pregnancy. He told me how it would help me down the road during delivery as well as creating the best environment for me and my baby during the remainder of my pregnancy. I listened to him and continued going to see him on a regular basis. I then began hearing whispers in the office of how Dr. Laub's patient's tend to have short labors - I of course asked him about this and he explained that by seeing him regularly everything is aligned in the right way (pelvis, baby's position, etc.). I have to say that initially I was skeptical that all of this could assist in improving and expediting and easing the labor process. Well, was I pleasantly surprised!!! Towards the end of my pregnancy I was found to have extra amniotic fluid. I am also 4' 10" and of a petite build. My OBGYN wanted to induce about a week early as extra amniotic fluid can pose a risk to the baby and she was also concerned over the size of the baby compared to my size - Dr. Laub and I discussed and decided that I would keep the induction date but hopefully by using some of his techniques I would be able to go into labor without need for induction (pitocin). He began working really hard to help me get to this goal. My induction date came and I went to the hospital fully prepared to have pitocin the following morning. I NEVER NEEDED IT!! After my first examination in the hospital I began with regular contractions and my water broke on it's own!!! Now for the BEST PART - I had a 4.5 hour labor and I only pushed for 17 minutes!!! I really have no doubt that Dr. Laub's hard work really paid off! Due to the efforts of Dr. Laub and the staff at West Hartford Chiropractic I had the BEST pregnancy I could have hoped for. My labor was fast, efficient and as easy as labor could get. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Dr. Laub during their pregnancy - and the earlier on, the better!

As a comparison, I can honestly say that Dr. Laub and his team of doctors and assistants are GREAT and by far the BEST. As a busy surgeon and weekend warrior, I make time every Friday to get adjusted and have whatever weekly aches and pains expertly diagnosed and attended to in a very organized and caring fashion. There is no problem that can stump them! I never have to wait and if I have a sudden problem during the week they are very accommodating to get me in at my convenience. I was a patient at West Hartford Chiropractic two years ago for chronic lower back pain and stopped appointments as soon as I became pregnant because I didn't think you could still be adjusted. About four months into my pregnancy, I called their office to ask a question about something and they informed me that I could! To make a long story short, I was still being adjusted up until the day before I was induced. I pushed for twenty minutes before the doctor was called in and then on the third contraction she delivered my son. I recommend Dr. Laub to anyone anyway but I strongly encourage women to consider getting adjusted when they're pregnant simply because it made the whole experience so enjoyable. Releasing the tension in the my diaphragm made it easier to breathe and didn't make me feel so cramped, especially toward the end. The last word I would use to describe being 40 weeks pregnant is "balanced" but I really felt that way. I had zero back pain the entire pregnancy, slept well, had no swelling in my feet, and was doing up to several flights of stairs a day not just the day before I had the baby...but then six flights down the day after when we walked out of the hospital. Another patient delivered a baby some months before me and had a super short delivery time and all I could do was hope I would be so lucky. Thankfully, I was. Sounds crazy but I can't wait for the next one!

I was skeptical to see a Chiropractor, but I woke up with a terrible stiff or rye neck and had to travel internationally in a couple of days. A friend suggested I see a Chiropractor. Dr Laub was extremely knowledgeable with great patient communication skills. Not only did he reduce my neck stiffness by what feels like 90% in two treatments he also learned through conversation that I was experiencing sciatica. My initial visit to West Hartford Chiropractic was a year ago. I was very hesitant to go to a chiropractor. I truly did not understand the scope of their work. However, I was in considerable pain- everywhere; my shoulder, knee, foot, neck. I had already been through massage therapy, physical therapy, and the Orthopedist. Nothing was helping. The doctors and therapists at WH Chiropractic took excellent care of me. Dr. Laub and Dr. G. did not just treat the issues but also the underlying causes. They explained the course of treatment and kept me informed at each interval. Today, I have none of those issues and have even been able to return to the gym. My quality of life has improved greatly. Throughout the year, they didn’t just treat my presenting concerns, but also any other health issues I had. During the winter when I had a cold, sinus headache, etc. they treated those issues as well. The duration of those episodes decreased significantly and relief was quick. I was seen as a person, not just a patient with symptoms. As good as the doctors are, the therapists are awesome. Each one knows each patient by name and exactly what is needed in the treatment room. They are compassionate, concerned, and attentive. I have received excellent care from each one of them. Also, the office staff is very patient and accommodating when scheduling appointments.

I was six months pregnant and suffering from sciatica, but as a medical skeptic, I was fairly certain it would be a waste of my time. (At this point, I was willing to try anything holistic for the sake of my sleep - or lack thereof) Long story short, I joke around that Dr Laub is a miracle worker; sciatica = gone, heartburn = gone; I feel so great considering I am currently 9 months pregnant and I truly think Dr Laub is mostly (if not entirely) to blame! Also, we bring our 4 children - 6 year old twins, a 3 year old, and a 2 month old regularly and the kids all love going! I have been a chiropractic patient since I was 12 and injured my back during a ballet performance. Since then I have been to chiropractors all over the country. NONE of the other chiropractors I have seen compare to any of the doctors at West Hartford Chiropractic! As a professional modern dancer, I put a lot of strain on my body and was very prone to back injury. At first I would only get adjusted when I was injured, but Dr. Laub, Dr. Hart, and Dr. Loy taught me the importance of keeping my body in a state of optimal functioning. Let me just start by saying how wonderful all the staff at West Hartford Chiropractic are! Always greated with a hello and a smile! Dr. Laub is a miracle worker! I suffer from cluster migraines, arthritis and sometimes debilitating panic attacks. For months I had suffered trying different medications for relief which often made me more anxious and groggy and well a little depressed. I finally was able to find time in my schedule for a visit and let me tell you I DONT KNOW WHY I WAITED SO LONG!! After going on 7 months with daily migraines , body stiffness continual panic attacks almost on a daily basis, this past week has been a complete 360. I had a SLAP's tear in my right shoulder that I had to have surgically repaired . When I completed the allotted therapy sessions insurance would cover I had about half the range of motion I had before the surgery. I started working w/Dr Loy shortly after and he laid out a game plan and goals to get me back up and running. His first focus was to get the range of motion back and once we got that back his focus was to strengthen and stabilize the shoulder to get back to the active life I had before the surgery. Over several months of soft tissue therapy, stretching routines, and strengthen exercises I was able to regain the range of motion I had prior to surgery. If it weren't for Dr. Loy and his game plan and direction, I would have been worse off after surgery than I was before surgery. I can't recommend Dr. Loy and this practice enough. I was very active and physically fit but a weightlifting incident left me unable to stand for more than 5 minutes without experiencing severe lower back pain. I avoided physical activity for a month hoping it would help me recover but it didn't. I tried massages and stretching but that didn't work either. I reached out to West Hartford Chiropractic, connected with Dr. Loy and have worked with him for a couple of months now. The combination of chiropractic adjustments and tailored physical therapy exercises has put me on a path to surpass my abilities prior to my injury (I did a 15 mile trail run with a full pack yesterday!). I contribute my recovery to Dr. Loy's knowledge of the body and his ability to develop a custom solution that specifically tackled the muscle imbalances unique to my body. Knowing that chiropractic adjustments help boost the immune system I brought my 2 year old son who was suffering from an ear infection and nasty cold. He refuses to take medication. His first visit for his cold he was a sick little guy. By dinner time I already could see a change in him and all due to the adjustments since he never took any medication that day. He was running around after his brother and had a hearty appetite. For his next chiropractic visit for his cold he was back to being a giggling happy 2 year old.
