Dr. Rob is fantastic. I initially went to him when I was barely able to walk. I saw all his reviews when I did a search for a chiropractor in Southington. I injured myself lifting weights, and after looking at some x-rays he explained I had a compression fracture. I also have a curvature in my spine due to an old injury that's cause an imbalance over the years. I was pretty relieved that it wasn't a disc issue. He's been helping me out for the past 6 months or so, and I can honestly say my back feels wonderful. It took a couple/few months of going to him, but I have no more pain and have no restrictions. One other thing about Dr. Rob I really like, was that he explained to me the idea behind good chiropractic practices and how the body can heal itself when everything is in alignment. Let me first begin by saying I AM NOT A SALESMAN. In fact, I am RARELY so satisfied and pleased with a product or service that I would take the time to create a profile just to express my elation with my experience. I have been seeing Dr. Rob at Shaw Family Chiropractic for approximately three months. Within that short time, I have experienced unbelievable results from my regular adjustments. In fact, I felt immediate relief from countless "aches and pains" from the moment of the first adjustment. My name is Jason Longo. I am 38 years old and I live a very active lifestyle. My wife and I are both runners and we enjoy staying fit, exercising and trying to stay relatively healthy. For years, I have suffered from acid reflux, high blood pressure, allergies, snoring issues, sleeplessness, etc, etc, etc. Not to mention, three herniated discs in my back due to one motorcycle accident and one car accident. I have wrestled with countless medications, surgeries ... you name it! When I was diagnosed with Hypertension (high blood pressure) years ago, I tried everything possible to lower it. I started eating healthier, exercising regularly, yoga etc. The result was that I lost 60 pounds and I was MUCH healthier and happier but there were certain issues like my blood pressure, acid reflux back pain etc that just seemed to worsen with time. Purely out of dissatisfaction with "traditional" medical care, I decided to seek out "alternative" treatments in hopes that I could find some relief. That’s when I found myself at Dr. Rob's office. Dr. Rob helped me to find the healing power within my own body and experience the true power of a clear healing message that is allowed to move freely through my spine, helping my brain to "communicate" with my body... allowing the healing to happen from WITHIN... and not from a medication or store bought remedy. I realized quickly that this was for me! I am so thankful that I gave Dr. Rob a chance. I never believed these kinds of results could be possible. In fact, I recently had a visit with my Primary Care Physician who has been one of many who have "treated" me for high blood pressure over the years. She had to take my blood pressure three separate times because since my last visit three months prior, it had gone from a chronic 180/110 to 138/78!!!! She couldn’t believe it! She asked me what it was that I was doing so different that my blood pressure finally came down after all these years?... I grinned, smiled and said, "Chiropractic"! As a mater of fact, I am now being titrated OFF of my blood pressure medications all together. THANK YOU DR. ROB!!!! Listen up and take my word for it.... GO SEE DR. ROB!!!!!!!! My back was in a debilitating spasm for months, it affected every aspect of my life. I had been to other chiropractors, but their adjustments would barely hold for a day. Dr. Rob used an assortment of blocking and drop table techniques on me that eliminated my spasm and my need for muscle relaxers immediately. He is turning me around, I'm optimistic and functional again. It's getting harder to find health care providers who have such a sincere passion and instinct for healing others. I feel lucky I found one... and right here in my own town!

I made an account just to review Dr. Shaw as I had told him I would but didn't have a google account. I always have varying degree's of back and neck pain but didn't necessarily subscribe to the whole "Chiropractic world" as I had gone a few times and ultimately was unable to tell if it were helping or not. I had started getting worse back and neck issues than normal that resulted in getting a headache about every other day for a month. I was reluctant to go to the Chiropractor as 1 visit and I am assaulted with e-mails, texts, phone calls, mailed flyers etc to come in 2 times a week... It became evident I may need one however but instead of playing darts with the phone book I asked around for recommendations. Dr. Robert Shaw was recommended to me and I gave it a shot. Dr. Shaw was very friendly with me and several patients I saw come in for an adjustment while I filled out new patient form. He saw me quickly and explained the adjustment I was given, the whole thing took 10 minutes. I didn't have a single headache again for months. I also didn't receive a single solicitation to come back, Robert just said pop in any time during business hours. Fast forward about 5 months later, I started getting tight again so I popped in for adjustment. I was in and out on my lunch break from work in 10 minutes and feeling great again. Going again reminded me I was going to write this review when I was amazed I had no headaches in 3+ months. I will continue to go see Dr. Shaw when I'm having neck/back issues and recommend anyone else give it a try if you don't love your current chiropractor!!!
