During the 70's & 80's I seek the help of many a Chiropractors, Osteopathic doctors and even an Orthopedic doctor. The results of wrestling, over a hundred motorcycles and 4 wheeling crashes had taken its toll on me. I finally gave up on having a normal comfortable neck. I knew my neck was bad because you could feel a big knot on the left side and it always felt like I needed to pop my neck in that spot. My range of motion was restricted. I always wanted to pull on my neck like traction to relieve the pressure. By accident (or luck) I ran into Dr. Nowakowski and because I'm a health nut, I researched what NUCCA was. I set an appointment for myself and my son; and with the very first treatment the knot in my neck was gone - I MEAN GONE! NUCCA is a very different method of curing spinal/nerve related issues that nearly 100% of people will find difficult to understand how it works. I still can't explain it. I'm still at awe over the whole method. It's just simply effective! For 59 years old, I would be consider pretty active and fit by most standards and knowing what I know, NUCCA would benefit almost anyone around my age; active or not. My son is an extremely fit 20 year and we're seeing some effects that NUCCA is having on his training. If you want peak performance and comfort, then invest in your health. From my years of experience and tons of studying my son and I have invested in understanding the human body; it is our opinion, having the best spinal health is paramount to having the most effective exercise regimen. After suffering with sciatica for over four years, and going through physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, and massage therapy with no results, I thought of how I would have to adjust my life and learn to live in pain the rest of my days. Then a friend told me about NUCCA. I found Dr. Shelly to be the closest board certified NUCCA doctor, and began treatments with her 13 weeks ago. The first two treatments didn't seem to do much, but after the third adjustment, I began to get some relief. When I was young I rode a snow sled down a hill and turned to go into a concrete culvert. I turned a bit too sharp and hit my head on the culvert. Over the years I suffered from muscle knots in my neck and back. Massage helped but the knots returned. Then I found Dr. Nowakowski. She evaluated me and showed me that my skull was not seated properly at the top of my spine. Her first adjustment was amazingly gentle and painless. For the next two days I was exhausted, because muscles that had been tight for years finally relaxed. She has helped me to feel better than I ever thought that I could feel. It is important that she is *board certified* NUCAA. Thank you so much, Dr. Nowakowski!

My experience with Dr. Nowakowski was absolutely fantastic. I did some kind of twisting to my back and had extreme pain. I went to a standard chiropractor and it helped, except for one muscle (levator scapulae, in my case) that stayed at about 6/10 pain level. A dozen visits had exactly zero effect. Doing my own research (well, actually my wife doing the research) led me to try NUCCA. After two visits, my pain level went from 6/10 to 2/10. Two more visits and my pain went to 0/10, and it hasn't come back. I absolutely recommend looking into NUCCA. I was extremely skeptical - luckily my skepticism had no impact on the success of the procedure. Hmm - upon re-reading my comment, I barely mentioned Dr. Nowakowski, and she is fantastic. As I have improved, my visits have become less and less frequent (at her behest). Her goal is to HEAL, rather than maximize the $$$.

It is my sincere hope that the following review helps someone make the right decision about Nucca Chiropractic and Dr Shelly. I suffered with severe vertigo for over 10 months that prevented me from doing anything but sitting as motionless as possible in a chair all day long. Turning my head left or right , bending over to tie my shoes , even sleeping in my own bed where all out of the question. Anything that involved motion (like being driven to the store), or getting up to use the bathroom triggered debilitating dizziness. After going to see 7 different doctors, getting 8 different MRI and more tests then I can count over this 10 month period it was decided a spinal fusion from C4-C7 was going to be the best course of action to help with my condition. 3 months after this surgery and around the time I could start swallowing normally again my vertigo was worse than before and I was at my all time low. This is when something finally went right for me. Through my own desperate research I found Nucca Chiropractic and Dr Shelly. With the first adjustment performed my vertigo was gone. After over 10 months of suffering. It was as if it was all a bad dream, No more dizziness: No more nasua: No more being stranded in a chair unable to do anything for myself. My life was almost immediately back to normal. When I originally starting seeing Doctor Shelly I would visit once a week basically to have her monitor how my adjustment was holding . Now months later I see her maybe once a month and need an occasional small adjustment just to keep everything perfectly aligned. To say she gave me back my life is not an overstatement, it is a fact. With just one adjustment Dr. Shelly did more than all of the Doctors, their tests , a spinal fusion and a shoe box full of medications could ever do . I am so very thankful that I learned of Nucca and found Dr Shelly. I will give one word of caution that I can not emphasis enough. Please be sure that the doctor you choose is 1: Board Certified (I believe Dr. Shelly is the only one in Colorado) 2: Proceeds with only authentic Nucca protocol Doing anything less would be at best limiting the true magic of Nucca and at worst potentially making problems worse. Dr. Shelly is amazing. I honestly am not sure where to start with my review because she means so much to me. I have tmjd and have tried everything to ease my pain in the last 6 years. Things would work temporarily and never 100%. When I first went to Shelly I cried. I had 24 hour pain and was in survival mode. After her first treatment I stood up and my upper back pain, headache, facial pain was all gone. I wasn't even sure what she did to fix it. I think I told her it was some kind of magic. But it is all science and an art form. She knows the body and how to make it whole. There is no back cracking or fancy machines. She takes xrays and does math, she figures out what adjustment needs to happen to put everything back in alignment. As a result, I am a better employee at work. I have received awards for doing a good job and I am more present with my family. Dr. Shelly is affordable. You pay up front for the year's worth of visits but it is worth every single penny. When it averages out it is what I was paying for good but temporary physical therapy and now I am on my way to healthy. Dr. Shelly cares and it is almost impossible to find a doctor who listens and is able to take the time with each of her patients. If you are hurting or have a family member in pain you would be blessed to see Dr. Shelly.

I want to recommend Dr. Shelly (Nowakowski) to you, just as i have some of my nearest and dearest. NUCCA restored my health after debilitating injuries in car accidents when I was young. I was on the brink of serious surgery when I found NUCCA and was totally restored. As I moved around the country, I found practitioners wherever I went to try to keep my health up. Unfortunately, many will use the name NUCCA who don't actually have the expertise necessary for such critical care, and by the time I found Dr. Shelly, my initial damage had been severely compounded by adverse treatment by underqualified practitioners. I was again, 15 or so years later, in very bad health and suffering greatly. Dr. Shelly took my severe case, and once again, as in the beginning, brought me back to almost perfect alignment. My body burst into the hard work of healing as my joints and bones were set back in the right place, and the nerve which had been shut down to the whole right side of my face came to life (a little angrily). After a few weeks of intense healing, and some maintenance adjustments, I had my body back. Once again, my health restored. I have shown many people my x-rays, where they can clearly see the before and after of a crooked, kinked head and neck , and then a straight, even, level frame. It's a wonder, and there's no comparison between before and after quality of life. I am so very grateful for Dr. Shelly, who has the skill in practice worthy of the excellence of Nucca theory. Many people will find health with her, who really couldn't find it anywhere else. The moral of the story: I can't recommend NUCCA highly enough, however, not everyone who claims to be able to do it, can. Remember my injuries (which I paid dearly for!), and do some research about what it means that Dr. Shelly is board certified. You can trust Dr. Shelly for a true, conscientious, as-close-to-perfect-as-possible adjustment that allows you to heal.

I had been to chiropractors for many years and I found Dr. Nowakowski when she started her practice in Las Vegas. The NUCCA method she was using was non-invasive and actually worked. I started to feel better and my body started to respond so well that my posture changed and became stronger and more correct. Eventually I did so well that I didn't need to see her as often.
