After suffering a Dental injury in May of 2018 which caused Trigeminal Neuralgia the course of my health spiraled to the lowest of lows. The chronic pain of this disease left me lifeless and hopeless. After trying the Neurologist recommended anti seizure drug Tegretol for several months with no relief the Lord answered my prayer for help and I found Balance Chiropractic and Dr Max Pohl. There is not enough time nor space to write my thanks to Dr Max for his care and expertise on my journey out of chronic pain. I have long experienced the benefits of chiropractic, but I'm experiencing NUCCA to be "a cut above". The logic behind our body's ability to self heal, when our head is positioned correctly on our spine, seems sensible to me. Of course proper nourishment is also important as are all building blocks. I made an appointment on the recommendation of a trusted friend, who was seeing good results. I was hopeful for good results with my complaints of overall lethargy and painful ankle joints, that were definitely slowing me down. I'm just a beginner, having had only 5 treatments (painless; "did he really do anything to my neck?") I am happy to report that my ankle pain is all but absent and I enjoy more energy and vitality, noticeable in this short time. There is definitely cost for the treatment plan. But, as they say, "you get what you pay for", and "Rome wasn't built in a day." Dr. Gamm and Dr. Brennan are very experienced, knowledgeable, and approachable in things chiropractic, nutritional and wellness.They, along with the rest of the office staff are friendly, personable, helpful, and fun. When I went to see Dr Max at Balance Chiropractic I was sceptical. In the past I have seen regular chiropractors but in the end, I was eiter off worse or did nothing at all. I've had posture problems since I was a kid and a car accident in 2012 only made it worse. Doctors just loaded me up on painkillers and physical therapy was little help. Eventually I just gave up on trying to fix it. Over the years I developed digestive issues (reflux and IBS) again doctors didn't do much to help other than medications to manage symptons. Over the last 2 years I really noticed brain changes. My short term memory was worsening and I had brain fog constantly I was so out of it. I was irritable all the time and it was affecting my relationships. I was starting to think that I had a serious illness, never did it cross my mind that my spinal alignment could be causing all of this. I found Balance Chiropractic at a booth and the Women's Expo last year. I was always the type of person that thought chiropractors were a load of crock. But when they explained foundational chiropractics and how it differs from traditional methods my interest was peaked. When he mentioned to me how my spine's misalignment could effect certain areas of my body. I must say that when I first started seeing Dr Gamm in the summer of 2013 I went looking for relief to my leg pain/fatigue issues and a good deal of neck pain. It was really hard for me to sit in one place and look straight without pain. I was constantly repositioning myself to feel better wherever I sat. Shortly after my first few adjustments I was really loose in my neck and I didn't have the leg pain at night near as much and it got even better after that. So I was a little concerned that I couldn't be helped by chiropractic care anymore, but Dr. Max encouraged me to come in any way. I'm so glad I did! Not only did he give me some awesome information about how my scoliosis might have formed but he said he might be able to correct a lot of my still existing curvature in my neck. I also have a lot of other medical problems like allergies and asthma. Dr. Max said the corrections may help those problems as well so I was very excited to see where this could go. I can tell you confidently that I am feeling sooo much better! Physically I have less neck and should strain/pain. I also have little to no headaches anymore. I'm 46 now. When I was 23, I was in a bad car accident and had no chiropractic or medical car afterward. Through the past 10 years, I've been seen by several chiropractors. They typically went through exactly how many visits my insurance allowed and when those were used up, they declared me cured. Well, I didn't feel cured. I was in pain. The adjustments for traditional chiropractic would not hold for more than a day. I've been a registered nurse for over 20 years. I do not believe that modern medicine is serving patients well. I think, in many cases, we need to look elsewhere to heal ourselves. This is definitely "alternative care". I was skeptical initially, but kept an open mind. Dr. Gamm's care puts females on a roller coaster ride- lots of emotions hit us during treatment and things aren't fixed immediately. I can say that with consistent visits, my pain has drastically decreased. My husband and kids are patients at Balance Wellness, too. We aren't rich and it's a huge stretch financially for us to be patients there. It is worthwhile, though, and has been an investment in our family's health.

I met Scott at an expo as another vendor, and thought what he was offering there was a good deal for examining the bad nerve damage I had been experiencing for the last year and early-developing bone spurs in my neck. Through the x-rays and evaluation, I saw that my spine had been twisted, presumably from a car accident I'd been in over a decade ago. Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. Since then, I've been through my initial chiropractic package, and renewed with another set of adjustments and evaluations, and I can say that the NUCCA practice Scott performs *works*. Over the last year and a series of subsequent x-rays, etc., I could see everything gradually evening out, the nerves, previously pinched in my neck, have been relieved and healed for the most part, and I'm not living in pain and popping anti-inflammatory meds regularly anymore. Im on my 3rd adjustment and I can really said that I have notice some improvement on my pain level. I'm looking forward to a better way of life and pain free. Plus the office staff is great. :)

I’m gonna go ahead and go down to 2 from 3 stars because of that shady comment from the company. My back did feel somewhat better after a few weeks, but the unnecessary upselling was costly and ineffective. Mr. Gamm is super nice and all but he pushes a lot of hollistic BS like detoxes and so on. A lot of the gimmicks he pulls have been listed as red flags with medical journals and chiropractic associations (NASA x-rays and giving medical diagnoses Stating they’re from back issues). He is also one of those that makes you pay up front for months of treatment when it’s never a smart idea to do so (my dear fiends, look it up). There are a lot of claims out there that made me feel uneasy as I saw the business too. I also feel uneasy about watching some of the poor reviews on this company disappear (I’m guessing they’re crying wolf a lot on the whole “fake review” statements). Anyhow, I saw gamm for about a year. I was there when he moved his business from the woodmen road address to the little hole-in-the-wall by the Mexican restaurant. I remember being there when the blonde receptionist was let go and the really young guy got hired. During that time, there was so much tension between staff and the interim chiro lady that it needlessly uncomfortable. I just finished my treatments and left. But, hey, I really wasn’t gonna say all this until google informed me you’re calling me a fraud. Thanks, guys!
