I am truly blessed to have crossed paths with Dr. Nazariun. I traveled to LA for a month and during that time I needed chiropractic care. I chose his practice because of the amazing reviews. Let me tell you—he earned every one of them. I’ve always believed in chiropractic care and have seen several over the years, but this guy is over the top. As a nurse, I have spent many years around physicians and I have never seen one demonstrate such genuine interest and caring toward his patients. He gives his all at every visit; he educates more each time and even has patients video him as he demonstrates all of the stretches so you can do everything at home without trying to recall the many things he teaches you. He is truly a gifted chiropractor, but he is also gifted with true compassion. My condition has improved immensely since I started seeing him just 4 weeks ago, and I am so grateful as I leave town to be able to have all of his wonderful teaching and demonstrations right on my phone! I will see him every time I come to LA. Most of all, for anyone seeking chiropractic care, know that this is a place of deep caring and healing. If you ever need a chiropractor, you will never regret choosing Dr. Nazarian.

What sets Dr Nazarian apart from other chiropractors is that his technique is specialized to each individual, and he only makes adjustments where needed. Dr. Nazarian Is not just a great chiropractor, he is much more than that. He has an holistic approach, he takes time to explain everything about the therapy, always listening to your concern and doubts. I've started therapy two months ago with unbearable back-neck pain and a compromised daily life, and now the pain is disappeared and my quality life has incredibly improved, not only phisically but also psicologically, because the treatment leads you to reshape your attitude towards your mental and physical habits. Some positives: *Over several sessions, Dr. Nazarian definitely helped my back and neck, as did the massage therapists. *I get the sense that he really loves to help his patients feel better. *Scheduling was pretty easy. *Staff are friendly. Negatives: *Appointment times weren't consistently kept-- in one instance, I was in the waiting room till 40 minutes past my appointment time, and had to cut things short and then race to my next appointment. *It would have been helpful to know up front that the first session would only be evaluation, not treatment (I would have gone to see someone else if I'd known). I was there two hours, and after all the movement he asked to do to evaluate me, I was in substantially more pain then when I arrived. *Very high pressure sales pitch -- the staff try to get patients to commit to a lot of sessions and add-on treatments not covered by insurance, and there's a real "aggressive marketing" vibe, that actually reminded me of the last time I was car-shopping. I was particularly troubled when Dr. Nazarian said, "I need to ask now, do you *really* want to heal?" When I asked him to explain the question, he said, "Oh well sometimes patients say they want to take care of the problem, but then they're like 'oh, but my insurance...' and they don't really mean it". The message was that if you're not willing (or able!) to spend more money, then you don't really want to take care of your health. He kept saying, "Oh don't worry, we'll work with you" when I asked about costs -- but it became clear that they just mean they'll let people run up debt and make payment plans, which would be fine for some, but of course won't work well for everyone. I'm an advocate for healthcare equity, which includes making healthcare accessible for people where they/we are -- in terms of time, money, energy, and having respect for people's limits and needs. I appreciate that providers need to meet their bottom line. I just was really saddened to hear Dr. Nazarian suggest that people who don't (or can't!) spend more presumably are less committed to their health. That should never happen in a healthcare interaction. I didn't walk out then, but I considered it. *The last challenge was that Dr. Nazarian had a lot of advice about nutrition and supplementing. He didn't ask if I would want this kind of guidance from my chiropractor, just started giving instructions about what changes I should make to my supplementing routine and how I should do things, and seemed to assume that as a patient, I wouldn't be knowledgeable myself. As it happens, I have a background in nutrition and nutritional healing, and do some community education on the subject. I'm not thoroughly knowledgeable (no one is!), but I've been studying in this area for a couple of decades. It was awkward, because he kept making under-informed errors, or giving me advice that wasn't actually appropriate given my health profile, or making broad claims that when I checked, didn't bear out. For instance, he endorsed three vitamin/supplement medical supply companies and told me their ingredients were totally pure and the best and completely food-sourced. I went and checked, and most of their ingredients were synthetic, and basically cheap and not that helpful. I did go back and let him know, and he apologized, and seemed glad to have the feedback, which I appreciated. Ultimately though, I decided to stop seeing him because it's hard to have faith in someone's medical judgment when you've witnessed them making a lot of mistakes so confidently. I know something about nutrition, but very little about chiropractic care -- so if he were making errors there, I would have no way to tell. I appreciate that Dr. Nazarian is at least trying to learn about holistic health and nutrition, which many providers don't do; I think he's enthusiastic and well-intentioned. But for someone who wants guidance on nutritional healing, I would see a naturopath.

I keep trying to get my friends to go to Dr. Nazarian. I lucked out finding him through my good friend. It is very unlikely I would trust anyone other than Dr. Nazarian for my chiropractic care. I don't want to mess with my body, joints, neck, etc., without someone I fully trust. Dr. Nazarian is not only extremely experienced (24 yrs) but he seems to have a true calling or talent for his practice. On a non-medical note, here's a plus: if you don't decide to practice with him (I couldn't for a couple months until I had the money) they don't pester you with calls. Adam at the front (and Melissa before she left) were attentive and followed up but weren't annoying or sales-y. I can't speak yet to the results of my treatment (check in with me in five months) but I'd bet a good amount of money that he will help me significantly. My treatment plan he created is detailed and specific to my needs. It includes chiropractic care, massage, reiki and stretching. This shows me he is looking at all the parts of the equation, not just fixing something with a (metaphorical) bandaid. It's worth the 405 rush hour traffic to see Dr. Nazarian.

I came in with a very painful pinched nerve in my lower back that was debilitating! I couldn't walk right or even stand up straight! The pain was shooting down my back to my leg and I had to get this back to normal ASAP. I came and the doctor gave me several types of remedy treatments including massage with heat , adjustment and stretching which allowed me to stand up straight afterwards! He also gave me and showed me several exercises and stretches to do at home to help improve my condition. Two days later I am much better and the pain is almost gone. I had a bit of an emergency when I woke up with intense pain around a rib I had broken previously, and they were able to schedule me for a same-day visit. Dr. Nazarian and his staff were all so welcoming and helpful that I felt cared for the moment I walked into the office and was greeted for the first time. During my initial exam, Dr. Nazarian really took his time listening to me and learning about my health history. I have moved around SoCal about a dozen times, so I had been a regular patient with four or five chiropractors before. That being said, I have never left an office feeling more educated about my health or more optimistic about my treatment plan. After finding out that I had scoliosis, I came here to get the right chiropractic care I needed to make sure that my scoliosis isn't progressing and to help it decrease. Because of my scoliosis, I have constant back pain and don't feel so comfortable when I sit or stand in certain positions. But after the first couple of time I got my back adjusted I felt a big release of tension near my spine which decreased the pain I had significantly.
