personable, friendly, yet very professional. she adjusts you in a private room, not in an open space which i've learned to prefer. she doesn't rush you and as a pregnant woman, the place is top notch as i've been to a couple other places for prenatal chiropractic adjustments. there are other prenatal and postnatal services offered as well. i don't live very close, but is worth the drive out. her receptionist, noemi, is exceptional and she's great with kids, so you can bring your kids/babies as well.

Dr Shum is extremely friendly and professional. I first went in because I had bad sciatica, round ligament pain while I was pregnant, and my baby was not moving to the right position in my womb. I was a little leery of chiropractors but Dr Shum came highly recommended. During my first visit she explained everything she was going to do and how each thing would help my symptoms and my baby. I left that first day feeling better and have been seeing Dr Shum since. Within 2 weeks after that visit, my baby turned to the correct head down position and stayed that way until birth. I believe that it was due to my regular visits with Dr Shum. Since having my baby I have continued to see her, and my husband and baby see her too. She keeps us all aligned and adjusted so we don't suffer from pain anymore!

Dr. Shum is the BEST!!! I recently went in for a check up and adjustment and can not get over how much looser and better my lower back feels. She is not like other chiropractors. Passionate in her work and educates. When she does her adjustments she stays and checks for muscle tension and adjusts accordingly. I have been to another before but they just put me on top of a roller table and leaves the room and then pop, pop and your done. She educated me on stretches and muscle building technics to help relieve and prevent future occurrences. Not only have I referred her to my friends and family, since she does have certifications for prenatal and pediatric chiropractic technics (not many chiropractors have this certification) I have sent her friends that were pregnant and now proud mothers with very successful and short labor times (even for their first baby), I also have signed up my 2 children of 4 and 7 for regular adjustments. (my older daughter does gymnastics and is always putting her body is great stress) If you are looking for a chiropractor to help prenatal care as well as pediatric care look no further. If you need a health wellness chiropractor she is the only one to consider. As a automotive technician by trade I am always putting my body through some stress as well as awkward positions. Looks like I will be signing up for regular sessions to help keep my body inline and out of pain. Thank you for the adjustment and best of all the education and knowledge that you have given me to keep me out of pain.

Dr. Cassandra is an extremely wonderful and thorough chiropractor. She actually takes a lot of time to work on your body and gets to know you as a person. It is not just crack and go. As a professional dancer I aways walk into her office in some kind of pain, and I always come out feeling like I am walking on clouds. She doesn't just do adjustments, she incorporates massage and other techniques to help ease the muscles into their new proper alignment. So it feels fantastic as well! On top of that she works on my 2.5 year old. He started out extremely nervous and hesitant, but she was so patient and kind that he quickly warmed up to the idea of body work. Now he will climb up onto the table all by himself, lay down, and let her do anything to him!

I've been seeing Dr. Shum for 4 years now and highly recommend her to any pregnant mommies suffering from the pains of pregnancy. What I love most about her techniques is that she will adjust you according to your ailments and spends a good amount of time preparing your muscles before an adjustment. She is not your typical chiropractor and I highly recommend her. In fact both my girls (1 and 3 now) have been seeing her since only a week old! As well as my husband, mother, mother in law, both of my sister in laws and their kids!
