I went to this place yesterday to ask how to start a treatment and clearly the person who greeted me did not want to provide services to me. Maybe skin color, accent, my clothes? Not sure and guess what this particular location only takes well patients to keep them well. SO if you are in pain DO NOT go there because they CANNOT HELP YOU! You need to be in excellent health to go there! Just to make sure this is the Belmar location.

When I walk in I always receive a warm greeting from the front desk, the doctors are kind and ask me about my day but still perform a quick and satisfactory adjustment so that I can get back to my day and not spend forever at a medical office.

Amazeballs!!!!! I had a pretty bad experience about 8 years ago with a chiropractor and haven't seen one since. I have had back pain for as long as I can remember. I also have some fears which I expressed at my visit today. The guy I saw today(I'm sorry I dont remember his name) was amazing. Not only did he listen to me and what I needed he also walked me through everything that was about to happen. Put me at ease. Thank you!!!

Do not trust these people with your spine or your credit card! I have a history of back problems that have required chiro care for years. I have seen both good chiros and not so good ones but I have NEVER had an experience like this place. I'm new to the area and this place is close by so I figured I'd give 'em a shot. They are polite enough but the doc only half listened while I tried to give him some history, I have two bulging discs so I figured that would be important info to have. After a half hearted eval. He adjusted my spine THE WRONG DIRECTION! further compressing the already painful nerves. When I first left I thought it was just the shock of a rough adjustment and it would ease with a bit of time, but within 15 steps out the door I could barely move, had to have my husband help me out of the truck when I got home just ten minutes later. I have NEVER had an adjustment take my pain from bad to immobilizing. AND to add further insult to injury they charged my card twice! The next day I called to address the issue directly (and quietly)and was told they would issue a refund (which they didn't) and denied that my card had been charged twice. Its been 4 days andn ow I have the headache & paperwork of disputing both charges with my bank. Thanks to this hack I'm in worse pain than I was in after the car accident that caused the problem years ago.

This place is great. For a while, there was a front desk girl that was very rude and idiotic, but she's not there anymore. Dr Sean is the main doctor, but all of the other doctors that work through there are fantastic too. Highly recommended.

Let's start this review by asking, what's with the biz name? I work at a large fortune 500 company and telling co-workers anything about "The Joint" raises eye brows, I might even get fired, but I won't care. Wanna know why? It's because The Joint is the first chiropractor that didn't try to shove their generic foreign supplements on me that they make a couple bucks on or threaten worse pain if I don't see them 5 times a week. True stories. Dr. Misty was awesome. Super consultative. Her understanding and ability to explain what she can do and tell you what you need to do to improve your quality of life earns this location a 5 star 100%

First it starts when you walk in, the vibe and energy are amazing. Kari the front desk person is always smiling and making sure all the patients are checked in, updated info, and any concerns they need to mention to the doctors. It’s very clean and organized, I have enjoyed the new furniture. Dr. Ryan has been an amazing chiropractor and doctor. Not only has he helped me with a reflex issue I was having he has inspired me to work on my health as well. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS!!!!! This location give the joint a bad name! I have been going to the Joint since 2008 however I always to the one in boulder. Dr Saunders IS A JOKE my lower back hurt so I drove to Lakewood instead of going to boulder. He did not even adjust me and when I ask him to do it again he flat out told me NO! Yep NO, needles to say I called the boulder location and they told me to come up and they would adjust me for FREE I LOVE the doctors in boulder and will make that drive any day before I go back to the Belmar location! I have contact the corporate office and will make sure they are reading the reviews. It looks to me I am not the only one who has paid for adjustment that NEVER happened! Dr Saunders is a JOKE!!!!! let alone a jerk you will not get my business and I will make sure I Yelp this also..... I love the Joint but not this location...

They just want to sell you on their wellness package to get you to keep coming back. Before the chriropractor had even touched me she said I'd need to be coming back for multiple treatments. When I went to the front desk and just wanted to pay for that days session and to see how I felt in the morning before making another appointment, the front desk gal got an attitude with me. I've had chiropractic care all my life and have had some amazing docs. Ones that actually want to make you better so you don't have to come every week or every month. The only time I was in a situation where I was going that frequently, was after a car accident. It had been a year and a half since I'd seen a chiropractor and I sent in for some discomfort I had in my neck and lower back. The chiropractor that worked on me wasn't able to get my neck cracked. She was not using enough pressure. I told her that my body was ready, it needed to crack and she could get it. Just told me to come back again.... My neck is still in pain and I'm finding somewhere else to go.

Idk who would complain about this place the docs are great there patience with us is outstanding and they really make sure you are OK with what they are going to do. Honestly I was about to cancel due to a bad experience at a different location but theses guys at Belmar will be my reason for staying :)

My last visit to any Joint Chiropractic. Feel this visit was a complete waste of time and money. The "doctor" attempted to adjust my mid back with the same amount of pressure I think a 6 year old would have. When I asked to try again at the end of the visit he said I tried and it is too tight to adjust. I've seen chiropractors for 20 years. Never have I been told that before. The only positive I can find with this visit, he said I was just seen on the 21st at a different location. When I stated I had not he said there were notes like I was seen. I did attept to be seen at a location on the 21st, but left after I checked in as there was no one at the front desk and noticed the doctor working that day had always causeed me pain during previous adjustments. In my opinion, I find this telling of the other location chiropractor's character. In my opinion, it appears to me that some of the docrors are poorly trained and in some instances unethical.

The concept for this place is awesome. Someone who needs to get their "back popped" is going to have to go more than one time to fully correct their joints and everything. 1x per week or 2-3x per month is typical for at least a few months when first getting adjusted. I have no idea why every chiropractor hasn't been using this model for years. Good stuff. I don't get popped here, but my wife does.

Having suffered from scoliosis as a child and generally miserable back pain most of my adult life, the joint was a really amazing find, affordable chiropractic care!!!! Combined with doctors and staff that actually care about your well being was almost to good to be true - I am on the monthly plan, and always try to make it once a week. REMEMBER - not all of the doctors techniques will mesh with each patient, find the ones that work for you and request them, the other doctors don't take it personally. Combined with the regular massages I have started to get, my overall health and flexibility have improved immensely. You have to take care of your body and maintain it if you want the rewards !!!! Would recommend to anyone !!!

I have been having fairly severe neck and shoulder pain. A friend recommended the joint after hearing that I couldn’t see my regular chiropractor. My first visit with Dr. Ryan was great. He was professional, attentive and caring. He is exactly what you would expect from a good chiropractor. The guy I saw yesterday didn’t have any of those qualities. I don’t know his name because he didn’t tell me and I wouldn’t see him again if he was the last chiropractor on earth. He didn’t ask me why I was there for my visit. His whole goal was making my bones crack as much as possible and at one point he pushed my back so hard it felt like someone punched my stomach and it hurt very badly. It knocked the wind out of me and took me a few moments to recover. He laughed and said “too hard?”. I did not think it was funny then. I do not think it is funny now. I’ve never in the 30 years of being adjusted had someone do that to me. Guess what? My neck still hurts and now so does my front rib cage. I’m angry at the way I was treated by your “professional”. I’m canceling my membership. I know I’m still paying for this month and I will go to different location to finish it out. If you have someone like Dr. Ryan working there then why aren’t all the other people just like him? Where’s the consistency?

My daughter and I have been to The Joint in Lakewood, CO twice. The customer service is definitely 5 star. I’ve been going to chiropractors since 1989. Both of the chiropractors we saw are really top notch. I highly recommend trying chiropractic care. I also highly recommend chiropractic care at The Joint.

Having been adjusted my entire life (my dad is a chiropractor in CA) I have seen numerous chiropractors over the years, particularly since moving to Colorado ten years ago. Without a doubt, Dr. Ryan is one of the best docs in the area. I am constantly impressed with his adjustments and find that they are the perfect balance of speed and force. I went here for five visits over the course of 2 months. I saw the same person only twice out of these visits. One guy just told me to lay down and then remembered to ask me if there was anything wrong after already starting. My back was still messed up and my friend cracked it once and then it was fine. When I went to cancel my membership I was told that I still had to pay for the following month even though I couldn’t come back at all because I was moving. I asked for the number of a manager and was told “If I gave that out I would be fired.” Ya, don’t go here.

Update: I was actually over-charged by 2 months, not one. Then they lost my name and note that I was due a refund last week. Was told that i must have gotten lost in a sea of mishandled camcelations and that was why it hadnt been issued yet. Still waiting... Scammed here. Do NOT do the "plan". When I realized I wouldn't use it, they explained that I had to pay the minimum of 2 months @ $80 each. I canceled, as required, by going in person to cancel my plan (could have easily been done online) Then I was still charged again this month. Don't give them your card. You will regret it

Excellent place! After a back injury that left me barely mobile and hunchbacked, I started treatments here. They worked with me to make sure that the treatments were as comfortable as possible and had me back to normal faster than I was expecting, and for a lot cheaper than my previous chiropractic clinic. Very friendly staff and rarely have I had a wait time of more than 15 seconds.

Seriously tired of this place. I'm currently a patient at this location and have committed to the$70 monthly plan, unfortunately. What I don't understand is why would they take me as a patient, if they aren't even cable nor interested in helping my situation. I came in letting the doc know that I have bad posture, muscle weakness and tight muscles. All he did was nod his head and do the most basic adjustments in the book. Everytime I go in it's the same game. Still end up with a tight lower back, tight waist, & a tight weak right shoulder. I understand there's so much a chiropractor can do, but I feel minimum effort Everytime I go in and it's honestly frustrating for a hard working person like me. David Houston

I love coming to this location and it's doctors. I have been coming here for years at least once or twice a month. They are always quick, friendly and take care of anything that needs to be adjusted. I used to get frequent headaches but after just a few sessions I get them much less often and feel great. I highly recommend the doctors and staff at the Belmar location, they have been wonderful over the last few years and have no doubt that they will be in the future as well.

I saw Patrick at my first appointment and it went really well, he was great. Top stars for him. Although I do have to say, today I'm feeling just as bad as I did yesterday. I have a very severe pain in my head, neck, and shoulder. I plan on coming back today, which is what Patrick suggested. I'm hoping that after a couple of sessions I'll start to feel relief. It was clear that Patrick really enjoys his job and that he is very knowledgeable about it. He was friendly yet professional. I felt better while he was working on me, and maybe for a couple of minutes after, but then I was back to feeling just as bad as when I came in. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion. Pretty great in fact. I still have hope that The Joint Chiropractic can help me.

Was seen for about 5-10 minutes, chiropractors didn't listen to any current issues and didn't give any relevant feedback, but just tried to get me in and out as soon as possible. Would highly recommend going somewhere else. May be a decent place if you don't actually have any issues, but just want some slight satisfaction from popping your back (which your friend could probably do just as effectively...). Was greatly pressured into signing up for a monthly wellness plan (I bet they get commission) even after I expressed that I would like to think about it first. Luckily I did not sign up. Steer clear of this place.

Everybody there is nice, and friendly...my questions were answered, to their best knowledge...and there's no waiting period! Especially, that I have a busy schedule! I came in with a sharp pain, on the left side of my body, got some streches in...Before, getting my back adjustment, and he had gave me some helpful, stretches, to target that muscle, that had the sharp pain...I'm home now, feeling a lil better now! I'm not the richest of people and the pricing is perfect for my tight budget, including a discount for my Veteran status. Thank you Belmar staff for keeping me going and upright. Anyone reading this, I wholeheartedly suggest a visit and see for yourself, even if your a skeptic and don't wait till it's too late. Back, joint, migraine etc. issues are preventable and cheaper than back surgery.

THE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST KARI IS AWESOME!!! I came into the joint knowing i had no money but absolutely had to get adjusted because i have severe neck pain and thoracic spasms due to a car accident Not only did they take care of me financailly, (ONLY 69/MO so 18 a visit!) but I feel truly cared for rather than just someone that would be forgotten as a patient. Dr Roberts really cared about my neck injury and took time to learn about it so i would be adjusted properly! and doctor Sean has an awesome fun energy to be around! I feel envigorated! My body felt so much better after 1 visit and now a month later i cant wait to invest in more! Thank you so much Joint Belmar!!!

Not good at all. The whole experience lasted a whopping 2 and a half minutes. She couldn’t adjust my back so she gave up. She then proceeded to adjust my neck and I was done. It was just a really poor experience with an uninterested chiropractor. She asked me no questions on what I was in for and had this I can’t be bothered attitude. Not sure what her name was but I would not recommend her nor will I be going there again.

I have read some of the other reviews on here, and I have to say my experience has been only positive. I have been going to this location for over a year now and have all my work done exclusively by Dr. Shawn. I have had chronic back issues for most of my adult life due to a bad car accident in my 20s. Dr. Shawn has taken the time to get to know my condition, and insures that I am aligned so that I can avoid injury. I am a very active person, skiing, backpacking, kayaking, etc. and through his services, yoga and regular exercise I have been able to dramatically reduce the frequency of injury that has plagued me since the car accident. Further, Dr. Shawn has great knowledge above and beyond chiropractor skills and has recommended exercises that have further helped with other injuries that have occurred over the past year. He takes the time to understand my weekly activities and address pain if it exists, in other words I believe he cares deeply about helping his clients. I can only say great things about this office, and have not experienced any of the negative things that have been expressed via other reviews. The receptionists are pleasant and Dr. Shawn is top notch. When they first opened, I noticed they didn't have water available and made a comment, the next week there was a water fountain onsite. They certainly value their customers.
