I have a very rare neurological disorder called Juvenile Parkinson's Disease. Before I was diagnosed and got on the dopamine replacement medications, I was completely debilitated. I could hardly walk and had little to no balance upon standing up. NUCCA was the only therapy I have tried that helped my gait. I have seen several NUCCA providers and Dr. Rumsey is hands down, the best of the best. He has a heart of gold and helped me significantly. I have about a 2 degree or more head tilt. His work is miraculous. If you are considering Rumsey Spinal care, I would hands down, reccomend Dr. Rumsey. I have seen probably close to 15 chiropractors in my life (military family) and they are not all one in the same. This man heals the body. And I could feel the adjustments immediately! I have not had a NUCCA provider since moving here to TN and I wish I still had Dr. Rumsey.

Alaska is lucky to have a NUCCA practicing physician in town, I'm more than grateful and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. Over the years, I have developed and been diagnosed (via MRI and Radiologist) with severe degenerative L5-S1 disc dessication that is greater on one side than the other that in addition to lower back pain, was causing numbness and shooting sensations in my right leg. After a decade of chronic back pain and failed results from conventional chiropractic care (adjustments and electrical therapy) and conventional medical care (steroid back injections, PT) I was willing to try NUCCA based on a family member who had NUCCA treatment in another state. I was very skeptical after the first consultation, but also intrigued as the alignment issue this technique reportedly targets seemed to address the source of the problem (mis-alignment) as opposed to the symptoms (chronic pain). After the second adjustment (which I'm still dumbfounded at how low impact, if not odd, the adjustment is), my lower back pain, leg numbing and leg sensations virtually disappeared. They'd come back after I fell out of alignment again, but after adjustments, the pain would once again go away. Over time, the duration between necessary adjustments increased with time to the point where my fixed alignment is stable and I'm still living virtually pain free, at least relative to the pain prior to treatments. Dr. Rumsey's office is one of the few medical treatment care places in AK that I've been to where the customer service and treatment results have been exceeded my expectations. The one and only negative to this treatment is that insurance companies don't yet provide any benefits as they treat it like they did conventional chiropractor care 20 some years ago when it first was becoming mainstream (or at least when I first entered the workforce with insurance). That being said, sessions are very reasonably priced, and unlike conventional chiropractic care, this care/technique actually provided results and value to me.

I was in a major dump truck accident several years back that almost ended my life. The force was so intense that it literally cracked the truck frame in half. I'm very fortunate to be alive. Unfortunately, after the accident I lived for years with severe neck and back pain. I went to several different traditional chiropractors in desperation to heal my pain, but nothing worked. As a father of three, I couldn't help but to feel depressed because I wasn't able to give my family the best of who I am living in such a constant state of pain. Out of the blue one day, I heard about NUCCA on a T.V. show and it perked my curiosity. After a lot of personal research I decided to look for a NUCCA Doctor. I was living in Fairbanks, AK at the time and I flew down to Anchorage to meet Dr. Rumsey and see if NUCCA was a good fit for me. Flying down to Anchorage to see a doctor gives you an idea how desperate I was for help and searching to find relief for my pain. After my first adjustment, I went almost 3 weeks with no lower back pain and my neck felt nice and loose versus stiff and painful. I was so impressed with Dr. Rumsey and NUCCA that we moved down to the Anchorage area and received NUCCA care from Dr. Rumsey for a full year. It was worth every dollar and more!!!! I often tell Dr. Rumsey that he is my favorite Doctor on the globe:) Dr. Rumsey is very caring, professional and passionate about the overall health of his patients. Giving NUCCA a solid full year commitment has brought my pain level down about 90%, which is simply amazing and I believe with a little more time, I should be at the 100%. Thank you Dr. Rumsey

I was in terrible pain when I went to see Dr. Rumsey at the advice of a family member. I had incurred a head and shoulder injury and the pain and muscle stiffness was getting progressively worse with each new day. I was having severe headaches, muscle pain and even the side of my face and inner ear hurt as well. I noticed an improvement after the very first adjustment! I really couldn't believe it, considering the treatment is so gentle. I am so thankful for Dr. Rumsey and this specialized treatment. I am a true believer now and would encourage anyone still suffering with head or neck pain to give it a try.

For years I had constant headaches, from just annoying to unable to get out of bed. After just a few adjustments I would could go a couple of days without pain. Now I occasionally have pain but when I do it is short lived and completely manageable. I highly recommend him.

I lived for 3 years with massive leg/hip/low back pain due to a torn slipped disc at L5/S1. I took opiates Hydrocodone (Norco) and Oxycontin to deal with the pain and was finally due to get a spinal fusion. My cousin convinced me to try *AND STAY WITH* NUCCA for 1 year. It's been over a year now, and I was almost completely pain free after about 10 months. I still occasionally have bad pain episodes if I push it too much (business travel carrying too much weight, etc.) but those are fewer as time goes on. I now live much more like I used to - quality time w/my family, able to focus mentally at work again, quality hobby time, etc. I recommend upper cervical chiropractic to anyone I meet with chronic pain/health issues, and specifically Dr. Rumsey if they live in Alaska because all chiropractors are *not* created equal. I started coming to see Dr. Rumsey because my parents started to come and they highly reccomended it. It came at the perfect time in my life too because I was really starting to feel the effects of the car accident Iwas in several years ago. As a young man, I felt like an old man and was not happy about it. My final straw was when I was on vacation and as my wife and I were walking down the sidewalk, my back and legs locked up and I collappsed right there on the street. I knew I needed to do something different. Wen I came home I made an appointment with Dr. Rumsey and immedietly liked the way he thought because he wanted to get back to the fundamentals of chiropractic care. It was very evident he knew his stuff, even though his methods are definitly not your typical adjustment session. During the adjustment I couldn't really tell what was happening, but when I left I could tell that something changed. After about a year of seeing Dr. Rumsey I feel better than I did when I was an active athlete in high school. My flexibility is great, my aches and pains have decreased so much and I feel like I am being effected positivly in every area of my life. Dr. Rumsey himself not only offers a great product but it is wrapped up in a great package of customer service too. He is friendly and really cares about his patients. He helps each patient from where they are which makes it really helpful. My entire family see's Dr. Rumsey now and I reccomend it to you too if you're dealing with spinal issues. You will appreciate his honesty and desire to help increase your quality of life.

I love coming to get adjusted by Dr. Rumsey. When I fall out of alignment I notice many aspects of my well being change. I suffer from PTSD and neurological pain. When I am out of alignment these symptoms flare up pretty bad causing lot's of day to day problems. Immediatley during the adjustment I get an overwheming sense of relief and peace. Then as I get up and move around things begin to flow better for a lack of better words. I always leave feeling better then when I showed up.
