Love the history of this campus and how they have preserved it as well as making new additions that are functional with some of the older buildings. They have top notch faculty and staff. I have been here a few times and have enjoyed my experiences. If you are considering a Chiropractic school this should be one at the top of your list.

Alumni. Campus has been improved and beautified over the past 20 yrs. Many of the classrooms have been modernized. Technology friendly. Library is unmatched.

I graduated from palmed 20 years ago. The education was very challenging and rewarding. It's only weakness is the very limited training in Functional Medicine/ Nutrition work. I learned and mastered that work after graduation. Move forward 20 years I see 200 plus patients a week have 6 employees. This is a great school to learn the foundation of chiropractic care.

I just graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and I have to say, they did a good job with educating us as chiropractors and how to take care of patients. I read the other comments on here that were one star in rating and they made me laugh because first of all, we are not physical therapists. The other guy has written about three other chiropractic colleges having only a 1 star rating as well with the same description. This college does well with incorporating technique, philosophy, as well as NMS (neruomusculoskeletal), and physical diagnosis classes. The training that we get is thorough with practical's on a consistent basis that are led by great instructor teachings. A few honorable mentions, Dr. Bhogal and Dr. Todd Hubbard. Many schools have become very subluxation based, which is good, and Palmer still holds true to those principles that made this profession great. The research facility there is amazing which leads to the most current evidence that supports the use of chiropractic with patient care. Every school has its strengths and weaknesses but overall Palmer gave me a great opportunity to be trained as a highly specific chiropractor. They offer many elective classes for adjusting such as torque release, Blair Upper Cervical, NUCCA, Gonstead, A.O., Activator, and even muscle release techniques. If you are thinking of attending chiropractic college, I would highly consider looking at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.

Palmer College of Chiropractic is the absolute BEST CHIROPRACTIC COLLEGE IN THE WORLD! Palmer teaches it's students the philosophy, science and art of Chiropractic better than any other Chiropractic college. That's why people always search for a Palmer graduate when looking for the best adjusters in their city/town. I would and have recommended Palmer College of Chiropractic to people who are interested in becoming the best Chiropractor they can be. I have had 7 of my patients who went to Palmer and they are all great Chiropractors. People from all over the world come to Palmer because it is the Fountainhead of Chiropractic and always will be.

Amazing school, the fountainhead of chiropractic!

Palmer's The Fountainhead of Chiropractic the original School in the original location of Davenport. I was very disappointed when the school band and the clinic abroad program which gave students the opportunity to visit a third world country and see lots and lots and lots of patience. The program was well structured well administrated and well super vised but evidently the college felt it wasn't making enough money. Or this responsibility was to great. This is a major disappointment since Palmer was the only place doing this consistently. I know lots of lives of students that were changed for the better by this experience

I wish i had something positive to say about this institution or this outpatient clinic but I do not. If you seek chiropractic care, find a doctor in the field who has their own office. There is an old saying that is very much applicable here: "Those who can't do, teach." And that is very evident at Palmer.

Had really bad lower back pain and normally I get an injection, but decided to try this place. After 2 adjustments from Dr. Silverman I was back to work.

This is the place that developed this type of medicine. They are truly innovators. This school has many types of outreach where they send students throughout the world to heal people. The story of Dr.Palmer is amazing and everyone should visit the museum on campus.

Though Palmer has generally in the past been known as one of the best Chiropractic colleges in the US it has generally gone downhill in the past few years. I can say that as a new graduate (of Palmer Davenport) I saw the value of education slow get worse and worse while I was there. Several beloved teachers were let go while I was in school and several teachers that had no experience/real knowledge about chiropractic had been hired. In most classes expectations are low for students. Most classes are just memorization and regurgitation without real critical thinking or problem solving. Administration is very focused on increasing the presentation of the school vs increasing the value of the education. Alot of money has been invested into giving Palmer a facelift thought technology and most of the classrooms that visitors don't see are very run down. At this point in time I would not recommend this school to anyone because I believe there are better options out there. I truly hope one day Palmer is restored to it's former glory but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Though this may be out of Palmers control, the area around Palmer Davenport is very run down and unsafe. As a female I would never be outside after dark without a male escort and in the daytime I was constantly heckled and cat-called by the locals. I had my car broken into while I was there (I lived right across the street from campus) and areas of the neighborhood were shut down often because of fights, disturbances, and even gunshots once.

Palmer was one of the best colleges to go to for chiropractic. They have a great rugby program with a lot of phenomenal rugby alumni mentors at your disposal. With that being said, a lot of the best teachers are being let go and teachers with less experience and knowledge are being hired. They let go a professor that truly changed my life, not only education-wise, but personally and then some thereafter. The money spent is on renovations of the school which I personally think is less important than the education of the students. Also, how they handle their loans after school is extremely inappropriate. So like I said, if you are going to Palmer for rugby, it's a great experience, but I'm sure there are better options for the chiropractic parts. I do hope they move in a better direction going forward.
