I post a review a week ago and felt that it was harsh and maybe little bit unfair to the Dr and the clinic, so I deleted that and update with a new one. Basically, the staff and the Dr. was very helpful today. We all have moments where things got busy and we try our best to do our job but things might fall short. But, the Dr and staff was very patience with me and provided meaningful info regarding treatment, which assisted me to make informed decisions. I have been a patient of Dr. Ross's for over 10 years. Some may say why is it taking so long to see a chiropractor? Do you take your care for one check up/tune up and then you're done? I have what's called cervical facet syndrome (look it up) and compression fractures. One and done doesn't cut it. I go for an adjustment and a massage monthly, sometimes more often when the issues are worse. These injuries don't go away, but with the treatments offered, I can do almost all that I've done in the past. I've had many massages by many people, but Deb is the best for my neck issues. Yes, sometimes I feel worse for a day or so after the treatment, but that's the toxins being released...it goes away. If you are looking for great care, I highly recommend this clinic. I've also seen Dr. Tipikin when Dr. Ross is out. He's great too!

The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The chiropractors are skilled and informative (not pushy about coming in 100 times a month like so many chiropractors are). I had a massage a few days after my adjustment and it was sooo relaxing. I plan on going back as often as my insurance will allow!

I wish I could have read some reviews before I came here. My experience was not too bad but the Doctor suddenly told me one day that they weren't going to continue treatment until they figure something out and explained the reason to be something other than the real problem (insurance company) but he did say that they would call me to schedule appointments so I didn't see it as an issue at the time. They never did call me back but sent me a huge bill! I did call the insurance company about it and they simply could not take care of the cost because Excellence in Health was providing treatment that wasn't medically necessary the whole time I was there and I did not know about it!!

Heather A. is hands down the best massage therapist. At other places it would take me 2-3 massages to rid my neck of the chronic pain I deal with daily. After just one hour long massage my whole body felt so good and relaxed. I felt detoxed and had more energy right away, it also lifted my mood and spirits !! They cause more pain and injury. Stay away from these Doctors at this location. This includes the Russian doctor with Alaska Pain and Injury Clinic. All they care about is the bottom dollar and checking the pink slip on the procedures they can charge you and your insurance. I left this clinic in worse condition than when I went in there. It seems as though they cause more problems so you will continue to come in for treatment so they can make more money.

I was lucky enough to be referred with gift cards for my first massage with Excellence Health. I was a little hesitant because it is a medical clinic, and I was not there for medical reasons. Just was searching for a relaxing, leisurely massage- WHICH I ABSOLUTELY FOUND. I was lucky enough to be paired with Heather Elizabeth for my massage, I would not have minded being paired with a man or a woman but Heather Elizabeth was so incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. The whole experience at Excellence Health made me feel valued, comfortable and respected in every possible way. Sometimes meeting a stranger to rub your body can be awkward, but nothing about the magic that Heather Elizabeth worked on my body was awkward. 10/10 will absolutely be going back with or without gift cards!

Unfortunately this place is not good. I bought a Groupon to test the place out. Received a very good massage first time round and when I went back for a second one and it was beyond terrible. Spoke with the office manager about the situation. She offered to mail a gift certificate for another massage. Long story short, I never got the certificate and when I called about it she could not even call me back. Office assistant told me they would only give me a 15 dollar credit which is not even worth my time to drive there. Waste of money and time.

I've been going to EIH for several years now and I'm extremely happy with the treatments and service I get at this clinic. This office is a well-oiled machine--the staff is very efficient and friendly, I never have to ask twice for anything. I can usually get right in for an appointment and they are very good at staying on time. The medical assistants are very knowledgeable in treatment and the massage staff are all probably the best in Anchorage! I recently started having severe pain down my right leg. I was being treated by Dr. Ross. After a couple weeks, we decided I needed to be referred to a neurosurgeon. This is what I love about this clinic, they are confident in what they do and know when they need to refer you along. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone!

They push a whole lot of unnecessary itemized procedures that is absolutely outrageously priced for the area. $600 was quoted unless I signed up for an additional $50 copays assistance program. I’ve been coming to Excellence in Health for about 3 weeks now. Coming in I was in some of the worst pain of my life. I walked hunched over, I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t work...absolutely miserable. In my 3rd week I’m back at work, walking almost normal again (hallelujah) and in less pain. Far from 100% but I wouldn’t be at this point now without Dr Ross and Dr Blue Ross. I'm looking for a new treatment plan for ADHD that doesn't include all the meds and their website has a whole load on ADHD without medication, so I call and the front desk lady practically yelled at me saying they are strictly Chiropractic. Dr. Ross is such a kind, caring doctor. He makes sure to listen to what you tell him, he is sure to answer all your questions and he was willing to share his diagnosis, treatment plan and after care with my primary care physician. I know that takes time to do but he knew how important is was for my to have all my care providers on the same page so my docs can all work together to best benefit my care. Heather is the best massage therapist in AK! At least for me she is. Heather changed my world when I started seeing her. I did not realize just how mean and nasty I had become after years of terrible chronic pain in my shoulder. I had been to lots of massage therapist and had a feel good massage that I forgot about by the time I got to my car. Heather did not give me a feel good massage but a deep tissue massage with her elbow deep into the muscles of my shoulder. After twice a week massages for 2-3 months I had about 70% less pain and my attitude became my nice, caring self again. I am now at about 75% less pain and see Heather twice a month. I strongly recommend Excellence In Health to each and every one.

This place is a totally rip off. We came in for a chiropractor service with Dr. William Ross, and the bill came out as $370!!! Everywhere else we go, we pay $40 per visit without insurance. If there is a zero star, that's how I would rate them. Avoid this place, there's so many good chiropractors in town that charging reasonable price. I don't think a dishonest business like this should even survive.

I have been a patient at Excellent in Health for over two years now. I receive most of my treatments through massage therapy which I absolutely love! I particularly see Massage Therapist, Debbie. She is absolutely incredible. She has a warm demeanor and is very pleasant when she greets me. We briefly address my aches and pains and then she gets right to work. She knows that I am always cold so she always has the heater blanket on for me when I arrive which I appreciate and find to be a very personable touch. Debbie focuses on the areas of my body that need the most attention and then gives me a full body massage which is a nice balance. She applies the appropriate amount of pressure and continues to check in with me throughout the massage.
