I’m 44 and recovering from neck surgery (C5-7 titanium, bone spurs and arthritis - stupid computers right). I expected good rehab and care, but what I got was far above the standard. During my initial consultation with Dr. Barry I told him that, on top of all the obvious stuff that needs rehab, the left side of my face had numbing but not to bother with it since two doctors already said there’s nothing that can be done. Dr. Barry, in his light, informal way, asked some clarifying questions and proclaimed that my C2 probably just needs a tuneup. He did an adjustment and within a few hours I found proper relief. Ahhhhh. Amazing! He diagnosed my sciatica issues too, and was again spot on. Talk about troubleshooting skills! All of my rehab at Alaska Back Care Center was exceptional. The massage therapist Cynthia is certainly among the very best in Anchorage. The desk staff is super friendly and helpful. I feel plum lucky that I found them, and I’m thrilled to share such a positive experience.

I've been to several chiropractors over the last 20 years and this first appointment was by far the best experience I've had. I had an actual consultation to discuss in detail what my issues are and how they can help me. Very up front and honest, and I could tell they really care. My adjustment was much needed and I feel instant relief. I think I have finally found a chiropractor that can help me both now and down the road. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Barry has been doing my adjustments for over 15 years. After my falls on Ice walk ways, 2 car wrecks, and dip netting season. Dr. Barry has always made sure to get me in asap and got my back, hips and neck back in alignment. Fallowed up by their amazing massage therapist. I recomend them all the time.

Excellent service and staff! Excellent outcome from treatment! I can't say enough about how awesome my experience with Alaska Back Care Center has been. I had been suffering with chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain for several years after a motorcycle accident. I figured too much time had passed to really do anything about it. Boy, was I wrong. Not only did Dr. Bryan Matthisen come up with an effective treatment plan to fix my issue, the massage therapists were amazing! I left each visit "walking on air" and feeling great. I'm proud to have Alaska Back Care Center as a sponsor of my local morning radio program on MIX 103.1 and I enjoy telling everyone about how much better I feel each day.
