After stopping in, and debating if I wanted to weather the line that extended 1/3rd of the way to the door, while paying the deliciously, mildly justifiable $8 on only a half sub.. I left to find somewhere else close by to eat that wouldn't be such a long wait and not as pricey. The McDonald's was too far, and I swore Subway off years ago.
I kinda have to watch what I spend most times, being a millennial and growing up in the times of freelancing jobs and struggling with ADD, leaves spending a liiittle tight. So when I do give in and treat myself to my favorite sandwich joint, which even being a rewards member, my smiles (Potbelly's rewards points) always expire before I get to use them (maybe that tells you how not so often I get to enjoy Potbelly) I really expect it to be great, or atleast just as good as the other Potbelly experiences I've been thankful to enjoy.
Getting to the point:
I did end up back at this location after unsuccessfully finding another bite to eat close by, and thankfully the line died down extensively, though the shift leader was basically the only one working, (despite the nearly 20 Team Members sitting at all the tables (must've been training?)) who asks me what I wanted to eat, prepared it after taking payment and then was still confused as to what I wanted (all the regular toppings).. That kitchen was a disaster, I understand rushes in fast casual dining better than the next guy, which is maybe why I'm seemingly also so critical in my review of this location, but atleast that kept me distracted from the price. Until I ate my sandwich of course.. Was quite dissapointing, maybe I was thrown off by the debacle that I didn't enjoy it as much, or what I fear the most is that maybe Potbelly has changed since I was last there 4 months ago..? Don't know if I'll ever find out.. And maybe it's a sign that I couldn't scan for my smiles with my purchase because she couldn't figure out how to get it working.. But it's all good I guess.
I'd still reccomend due to the popularity I witnessed that day and how different the average consumer's taste is these days, especially in Milwaukee..
