Food was ok, the prime rib was definitely not as good as it has been in the past and the king cut was very small. The best part of the meal was our Ice cream drink they were just as good as the past times we have had them. Hope if we go back the food quality is like it used to be.

We had Moose Inn carter for our wedding and everything was wonderful! The staff was professional and clearly experienced. The dill sauce with the salmon was a favorite. Our guests couldn’t say enough good things.

It's been awhile since we've been there. Veterans Day n they gave Veterans a free chicken dinner, that I thought was Great!! But as for our meals, New York Strip n Shrimp was not impressed. It's really gone downhill. Our bartender however was excellent n attentive!

Have gone to the Moose for fish fry for years, always a ridiculous wait, but we kept going back because we enjoy the fish. This last time was the breaker. We arrived early with only a few groups of people in front of us, but of course we had to wait over an hour. The restaurant was ridiculously hot to the point that when we were seated waiting for our food, sweat was running down our backs. We checked the A/C vent by our table and found that there was no air blowing, nothing was coming out. We informed the hostess who checked the vent herself and said she would speak with someone. She returned several minutes later and told us that if there was any condensation on the vent it was working and that was all that could be done. People seated around us had their hair plastered to the backs of their necks from sweat, one woman put her hair up in a pony tail and a couple were fanning themselves. One of our party couldn't finish eating and had to leave the restaurant. There was no concern shown by any member of the staff/management as to the dining conditions. It's one thing to cut costs by serving everything on/in Styrofoam with micro-servings of a couple sides, but for pity sake at least have working air conditioning in the summer! IT WAS THE MOST MISERABLE DINING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! The final insult was paying for the experience!! Time to try other Fish Fry.

Overall good experience. Broasted chicken was juicy, but salty. Potato salad portion great, but too sweet. Cowboy ribeye aged to the point of smelling and tasting rancid. No indication the steaks are aged. New york strip done perfectly and could cut it with a fork. No aged flavor. Coconut shrimp huge portion of 6 jumbo shrimp. Mixed veggie side was great, with carrot slices bigger than silver dollars. Staff all polite.

Expensive but delicious chicke . Friday night fish ayce delicious except sister asked for napkin didn't get one until almost done eating, asked for baked potatoe instead of fries was told too late, asked for Pepsi no ice got ice, was told that's what they do, husband was scared to ask for lemon so instead a nice male waiter asked if we needed something and we vented to him so he said something to her. Rest of the dinner was nice and smiles

Positives: Steak was very tender and well seasoned. Loved the outside deck and enjoyed the live music. Negatives: Rest of the meals ordered (Salmon, Ribs, Shrimp) were mediocre. Service was non-existent. After dinner drinks are huge...too big & lack booze. Traveled an hour to check it out, not worth the drive.

The seafood that I had ordered was ok. I had beer battered shrimp. Good portion. Was greasier than normal. No flavor in the wild rice and pretty dry. Salad, bread and stuffed green pepper soup were very good. My wife's meal was just ok also. The groups food was up and down on taste. Prime rib was great. The group I was with ordered after dinner drinks, Brandy Alexander and grasshoppers. Very large drink and very good. Some prices were good and some seemed high. I would come back some day. Try something else.

We used the Moose Inn for our catering needs for our wedding. From the beginning to the end, they were great. Informative, reasonably priced, helpful and quick responses. The food at the tasting was very good but at the wedding it was AMAZING! We had the pig roast and it was delicious. We got so many compliments on all of the food, and we're still eating the leftovers and aren't sick of them yet. On the day of the wedding they didn't need any help or bother us at all, just let us know when they were done. If we lived closer I'm sure we would eat here more often. Can't recommend enough!

There is a bar and had a posted list of good craft beers. The take credit cards including American Express and Discover.

We went for Friday Fish Fry. FIRST time there. We had to place our order at the hostess desk. Really no time to look at a menu. Then we ordered the easiest thing the all you can eat fish fry... We waited over a hour for a table. We get to the table, Styrofoam bowls , plates... small bowls had a small scoop of potato salad and a scoop of coleslaw.. Fish, well it was OK... just small pieces of Cod loins.. was not impressed at all... Will never go back!

Love this place. Great atmosphere for cocktails. Menu has something for everyone from ten bucks to thirty five bucks and the food and service are great. Their seafood menu is a highlight. We had the onion flower for appetizer. My wife had the sauteed jumbo shrimp in garlic and Rhine wine with a side steamed of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I had the queen prime medium rare done perfectly. For me the key to good prime is the au jus and it was very tasty. My potato choice was skins with a dipping sauce. So good but I couldn't eat it all. We both had nice salads with mixed greens, a wedge of tomato and homemade croutons. The meal comes with small dishes of herring and cheese spread and a bread basket. Highly recommend.

Service was good, food was less than. Steaks were almost raw, asked for med rare and 2 was supposed to be med, lobster was over cooked and tuff. Didn’t send back, just figured I could finish cooking for breakfast. Maybe the cook was having an off nite. Another table sent their steaks back. Chicken was good, a lot better than steaks. Will we go back?? Definitely not for steak or seafood

Only ever been there on a Friday for the all you can eat fish fry. Im not a huge fish person, but they do it right. It's not too fishy tasting, and not covered in batter. It's light and flaky and delicious. And the prices are great. I try to stop by every time im in the area

Great tasting fish at a very reasonable price on Friday evenings. All you care to eat family style fish Fry for less than $11. No reservations taken, so get there early on Fridays or be prepared to wait quite a while for your dinner. I must say, it is worth the wait if you arrive later in the evening.

I don't think that people understand how busy it is on Friday & Saturday nights and that there is just this lake culture about waiting and not being in a hurry, year round. If you want fast food, Culver's is down the road...if you want to spend time with your family, date etc then belly up at the bar and have a drink or even a water if you dont drink and have a good ol' fashion conversation. Jo on Friday nights is the best bartender ever and is wicked smart. Get the salmon, ribs or perch....the soups are usually killer too.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the experience we had with the Moose Inn who catered our 240 person wedding. From start to finish- they provided the absolute best customer service!!!! Our guests ALL raved about the food- which was amazing- their presentation was so elegant - we had PLENTY of food! They made last minute changes to make sure everything was stunning and perfect - 100%, they went above and beyond!!!! This was hands down the best money we spent in our wedding! If you are looking for a phenomenal caterer - do yourself a huge favor and book the Moose Inn Immediately! I cannot thank them enough!

This place has the best all-you-can-eat Friday night fish fry anywhere. You can order it single, or if more than one person is having it they bring it out family-style in big bowls and platters. Every element is perfect -- the fish is lightly breaded, flaky and tender, with tartar sauce flavored just right. The french fries that come with it are perfect also, always fresh, hot and crispy and whatever seasoning they put on them is delicious. Potato salad is just right, along with the cole slaw made with red cabbage and vinaigrette dressing. Even the rye bread with butter is just right. They come by frequently to see if you need a refill on anything (fish, fries, sides, bread, whatever). It gets REALLY busy between 4:30 and 8pm so be prepared for a bit of a wait if coming during that time. But it's so worth it. We usually come between 8:30 and 9pm and they're still serving, so that's another option if you don't want to have a wait. Highly recommended!

I've been to many great supper clubs in Wisconsin & this has by far been the best. Cowboy Rib Eye was aged perfectly and cooked exactly how a rare steak should. Wife had their delicious 'chewy' ribs. The sauce was to die for. German potato salad was excellent as were the mashed. Great variety of local beers and a top notch wine list. A pleasant surprise of pickled herring & horseradish cheddar just added to the excellent meal. Will recommend & visit again. 5 stars aren't enough.

Where do I begin? how could I tell you how awesome their steak burgers are? I'm sorry to say I've never tasted anything else because their steak sandwiches are so amazing that that is my number one choice when I go there. During the summer time you can go and listen to some great music out on their patio when Joe and Janice Marie are there. That is a great time - people sit around and kind of interact with each other and listen to some great music and even some karaoke with some great music surprises just fun and laughs and really great time.

Overall I have to give 5 stars for the fish fry and wait staff. Bar gets 2 and the host gets 1 star. Bar; if you're going to charge $10 for a "speciality" cocktail, please use premium liquors and add a garnish. I shouldn't have to ask for a cherry, orange slice, lime wedge, etc. Your blood orange margarita is a disappointment and please stock diet tonic. Stay away from the specialty drinks, waste of $$. Host, don't tell us the wait will be an hour 15 min. when in reality it was 2.5 hours. What really pisses off a customer is seeing 8 empty tables that patrons could have been seated and enjoying some bread and apps but aren't because their food order isn't ready. Yet, I'm still seeing people walking in for their take-out orders. Take care of your guests that on the table list first!! Your pre-order system is garbage and useless during the busy nights and takes away from the over all dining experience. We finally get seated and the fish fry was great along with great service. Would not come back unfortunately.

We have been going to the Moose Inn for over 10 years.. but the last two times we went, this were less than great. This last time was our final straw. We arrived and were told our wait was 30 minutes. Fair enough. over an hour went by, so we inquired when we were to be seated. The snobby older lady hostess tried to inform us it was rather busy so wait times were long.. I understand this (duh it's Friday), but when you say 30 minutes, and its 60 minutes...I have a right to question it. We told her we were going to walk out and surprise, wouldn't you know we get seated. The salad was plain,.. nothing on it?? not even a crouton. Coleslaw was warm and disgusting. Our waitress did not even come to check on us. When she did, I expressed my frustration, no apology or a free drink from the bar. By this time we had been waiting for 30 minutes at our table... seriously.. deep fried cod and shrimp do not take that long. I complained again, and as we stood up to walk out, or food came out. My shrimp tasted like It was dipped in lake water before we received it, and my husbands fish wasn't much better. Our waitress never even checked on us, we had to flag her down to get more fish! I expressed my disappointment to the old hag hostess who again gave us the cold shoulder. I think because we weren't "regulars in our 60's or 70's" or a big group she didn't give a rip. We originally had plans to bring a large group in this Friday. I have since changed our plans and told everyone we will not be back.

Food came ice cold. I had cod and wild rice, the rice was ice cold and the cod was the right temp. But by the time the rice would have come back the cod would have been cold. So the waitress took my plate back and warmed the food, but in warming the food it dried my cod! My husbands Prime Rib was so cold it looked cold and had no juice, tenderness or taste. It was like they had it in the refrigerator and warmed it to room temperature to be served. Once the waitress brought his Prime Rib back it was still cold, he decided to just dip the meat into the au-juice to warm it. We had seven in our group, the waitress offered us 2 ice cream drink on the house to share. Won’t be going back.
