We had our Zonta Club party last night and everything about the experience was delightful and delicious. Theresa and the staff of chefs and servers have such big hearts and serve with care and love. From the planning to the closing, they gave us their "just right" attention and delicious food. A standing ovation to Bunky's!

I ordered the veggie appetizer platter gluten free. Considering that they make a big deal in their marketing about dietary sensitities, it was surprising when my husband picked up the platter and it had regular pita bread. Avoid if you have dietary issues. This place could be dangerous.

I came here with my mother. The Mediterranean plate appetizer we shared was phenomenal. Falafel were crispy and light. Stuffed grape leaves were good. Baba ganoush though... flipping mind blowing. Can't wait to go back. So good...

Fred and I had an excellent experience using Bunky's for our wedding! Teresa was a great resource by helping us with invaluable suggestions and support. She and her staff handily met our desire for locally sourced food as well as accommodating some of our guests dietary restrictions. And we got loads of compliment about how wonderful everything tasted!

The staff is great. They're very attentive and friendly. The food (spaghetti and meatballs and roast beef) was really bland. I was expecting more as I'd heard how great the food was. Unfortunately I was disappointed.

I often hear people rave about Bunky's and based on the one trip I've made, I can see why. I recommend calling ahead and reserving a "spaghetti on the board." It's so much fun! Basically, the feed you a salad, a glass of wine, a canolli for dessert and of course, spaghetti and meatballs on a huge plastic board for everyone to share. If you're weird about sharing food, you'll hate this, but otherwise it's quite an experience. Along with the spaghetti, you'll have a mountain of napkins to sop up the juices as they come rushing down board. My advice is to sit on the high side of the table.

What a wonderful place. We chose Bunky's to cater our wedding this past September. My husband and I always looked forward to our meetings with Teresa, who is a radiant, joyful human being! The day off, Rachid and Tina did more than serve food at the wedding. They participated in the love and happiness of the day. They were incredibly patient with our timeline, and ready to spring into action (we were super late with EVERYTHING). Everyone said it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten! They used beautiful vegetables, most of them from my favorite local farm, Crossroads Community Farm. Amazing experience, and very fairly priced. Accomodated everyone from vegan to carnivore. Ravioli was the favorite item on the menu. When it comes down to it, Bunky's has an experienced crew - you can trust them with your special day.

My wife and I are repeat customers but will never be back. Her food came cold and was not served as it usually is. She ordered the chicken kabob which she has had every time she has eaten there. It came cold and the chicken was extremely dry. The owner's wife came out and insisted it could not have been as cold as my wife said it was. She also told my wife the way the chicken was done is how it has always been done which is just not true. While I enjoyed my meal, I felt the owner's wife was extremely rude. We did leave a good tip for the waiter as he was awesome. We also left the piece of pie the owner's wife tried to bribe us with for the poor quality of my wife's meal. We drive about an hour to get to Madison and from now on, our business will go elsewhere.

If you need a space for a private event, or a catering order, look no further than Bunky's. Teresa is a delight to work with, and delivers quality food. She helped me plan for a business meeting for 25 with two days notice. She set up a great menu, and even made the space look really nice with linens and decor. I knew I would love the food, but was concerned about other employees with "less adventurous" taste. A few made comments about how they had never had falafel before, but everyone loved it. Would definitely recommend, and I will be back.

So i bought the bunkys cafe baklava from Woodmans ..i hate to say but as a Greek ,i was not impressed. If you ever want to have some real baklava let me know i can show you how its realy made.. Sorry but it was soggy and no taste close to baklava.. Just my honest opinion. Im open to a conversation about it anytime just reply here.

Poor service unfortunately. My significant other did not like his meal nor did he eat it, the server, Peg, responded by saying, "Oh, I love that meal." While we did get a free dessert, we also paid for the uneaten meal. Food is overpriced for what it was. Will never go back because of the poor service.

I'm a girl who adores spaghetti. We went to Bunky's to celebrate my birthday. The spaghetti was really NOT GOOD. The sauce was very bland and watery. The meatballs were so disgusting, with no flavor or spices. My date ordered the pesto alfredo which came with freshly grated parmesean. I asked for some parmesean to try to give the spaghetti some taste and was brought one of those jars of ancient powdered parmesean that was stuck as a clump on the bottom of the container. Not impressed. Spaghetti is usually good as leftovers so I took my extras home. The next day it was still watery and bland and the meatballs tasted even worse. Cute restaurant, but don't order the "famous" spaghetti.

I love Bunky's. The owners are so wonderful. When they heard that my Mom was in hospice and it was close to Thanksgiving they insisted on making our whole family dinner. It ended up being the last meal we all had as a family. Theresa and Rachid truly care about our community and they care about their customers.

Many great choices here for top quality, healthy food. the Italian / Mediterranean fusion is interesting. it's great having choices of sides that aren't deep fried, e.g. hummus ,baba ghanouj. watch out for the desserts--they're very very rich. nice spot downstairs for private parties!

The reason for trying Bunky's: I fell in love with their assorted baklava I had purchased from Willy St Co-op a few months ago and when they didn't have it there yesterday, they pointed me to Bunky's - I decided to take it to another level and order food too. The food, though good, is quite overpriced and inconsistent when you consider food costs. The baklava (grabbed two naturally because this was the purpose of the visit!!) was horrible by comparison to what I had purchased at the co-op. It was dry and tasted old. I feel as if I am being generous with three stars but the baklava WAS so good the first time. I've been much more impressed by most every restaurant in this part of Madison.

Went here today for lunch. I had no idea this place existed but a friend suggested it. Seriously... yum. I had the chicken kabob and it was beyond fantastic. So good. I was not a huge fan of the building it is in or the decor - it is over the top shabby chic - looks like an old lady's house - but the food more than makes up for it. Service was acceptable. I will definitely be back!

Hired Bunky's for our wedding. Delicious food that had many people telling me it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. The staff was so kind and accommodating to everyone. I highly recommend Bunky's without any hesitation. They also did our cakes, linens, and supplied bartenders. Everything was top notch.

Bunkys catered our wedding at the Madison Public Library. Everything about our experience was awesome. Teresa worked so well with us and listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly that. The food was delicious - we received many complements. Teresa was also very gracious in helping us organize other logistics beyond catering. The team that served at the wedding was amazing. We definitely recommend!
