Excellent food and service. I made a reservation and took my family in to celebrate a milestone, we were all treated like royalty the entire visit. The owner was also the head chef in the back, probably explaining why every plate came out with such style and meticulous presentation.

I rarely write reviews after dining out but decided I should this time. My boyfriend and I had dinner there last night and it was an exceptional experience. We had a salad, entrees, and dessert and all of it was delicious and the presentation was great. The service was the best we've ever had in Charleston. Dealt with three employees and all three were very friendly, knowledgeable, and wanted to make sure we were pleased. We will definitely be going back soon.

Had confirmed party of 4 twice for 5pm. Got there at 4:45pm and there was no one seated in the entire place. They had us down for only 2 and wanted to seat us at the door. It was so cold outside it didn’t make since to have a table there. It was as if the tables were for specific people. The staff was unapologetic and it felt as though they were glad we we left. The place didn’t even have the same seats in this picture.

It's a quaint dining experience that packs one hell of punch to the palette! The food is AMAZING! Fresh, thoughtful, and perfectly paired dishes! Amazing food and a great atmosphere. You can stop in and spend a couple of hours on a multicourse dinner or stop in for a quick bite at the bar. The bar is well stocked with your favorite scotches, bourbons, and gins. These guys also have a good selection of cocktails. We had the adult fries for an appetizer, duck, and I had the a burger which was fantastic.

South Hills Market & Cafe is absolutely delicious! They serve lunch and dinner in a great atmosphere in a great neighborhood. For lunch, I absolutely recommend the Ham & Brie sandwich - it's the best I've ever had. I also recommend the rib eye sandwich. And the chicken salad is outstanding. For dinner try the wedge salad, and the roasted grouper with lobster risotto. Oh. When you're done, get a chocolate chip cookie - and have them warm it up for you. Mmmmmmmm. :)

Food is good (best onion rings and burgers in town), SLOW service, they were out of two types of popular domestic beers on a Wednesday night!!! While this restaurant is nice, it is too noisy for group conversations of more than 4 people.

Had brunch with friends here this AM - best Eggs Benedict I’ve since the old Press Club closed many years ago. Beats about any version I’ve had in Cincinnati - the hollandaise was PERFECT!

I wasn’t impressed. I ordered the Tuna Ceviche. It’s actually more of a Ahi Poke over Seaweed salad. It was okay, but not a Ceviche. The braised greens egg rolls were just fair. The greens were bitter. My main was the Waygu Meatloaf. I’ve had better meatloaf for far less. It came with over cooked peas and carrots (the carrots were very good) and a potato dish that was more like Elmer’s glue and cheese. The texture was very off putting. For $75 I expected far better. I think my money would have been better spent at Longhorns.

Very dissapointed. What we had was the following: appetizers: pimento spread, egg rolls, tuna rolls, chicken wings, spanikopita dip, and corn/chowder soup. Pimento was good but the crackers with it were not a good compliment. Egg rolls average at best. Tuna rolls average at best. Chicken wings were the worst I have ever had. Spanikopita dip was unique. Corn/chowder did not meet hopes or expectations, lacked substance. Dinner: steak: prepared well but fairly fatty. Side dishes non- existant. Dessert: dounut with choclate- tasty, basic. Service was good. Price too high for quality of food. It felt like the meal was a composition of cheap food prepared in a fancy or decorative way; such preperation does not hide the lack of substance in the actual food.

On my visit the food was wonderful, but service was awful. Smelled of South Hills pretentiousness, the waitress corrected the grammar of a family member! Anyway, the food was so good I'll probably still go back someday. Pricey though. Update: having returned a few years later, I was less impressed with the food. The menu is extremely confusing, and my burger with eggs was decent but didn't have lettuce and tomatoes which would have much improved on the experience. The service was better on this trip though.

I had the pleasure of eating here this past week, and my only regret is that I couldn't visit more while I was in town. We brought my 96 year old grandmother for a birthday treat and the staff went above and beyond to make it a wonderful occasion for us. I can't express how lovely the experience was, and I highly recommend dining here :)
