I've been to the VAC Duals Wrestling tournament 3 times in 5 years, and of course we always visit Beach Bully BBQ. The food is delicious, and the service is great! We are from California, so eating here is a big treat for us.

First off, the food was incredible. I had the Queen rack pork ribs with pasta salad and freshly cut fries. The first thing I did was tried a piece of rib. The flavor was to die for. The fries and pasta salad were amazing as well, but when it comes to ribs some places can not be trusted. The Beach Bully BBQ, is a place that can be TRUSTED. Especially with amazing people like Dawn, Matthew, and Allen. It was my first time here and I can easily say, it will not be my last. Thank you for your amazing customer service, and food. I will definitely come back again. ❤❤❤❤❤

Collards were perfect, hush puppies overcooked just ask for them a little less cooked, pork BBQ good (personally I'd use a Carolina base even with their vinegar base BBQ sauce) their food is great tho, don't get me wrong, variety of food homemade sauces for all your proteins. Prices decent and overall reasonable for two people to spend right around $20ish with entree as well as drink.

Worth every penny!! Carolina vinegar, a little smokey, pleasing side sauces and to die for collards. For $15 you get a healthy portion of pulled pork, brisket and 2 sides. Yum!!

If you are even in Virginia Beach this place is a must to visit. The food is absolutely delicious and the location is great because it only half a molde from the ocean. If you need an item recommendation that would have to be the brisket sandwich it’s absolutely fantastic!!

Very good bbq, definitely get the pork ribs. The chicken was also very good, the carolina pulled pork I thought was good but not typical, very little sauce and more vinegary than I'm used to. Sided were decent. Service was friendly and food came out pretty quick.

I visited Beach Bully BBQ for the first time. I'm not even from VA. We were welcomed by Dawn, she was friendly, polite, and patient as we took our order. I ordered the King combo. She said it would be about 20 minutes, but the food came out rather quickly. It looked good from the start. Then I finally dug in, the food was all hot, well cooked, and delicious. Matthew was our cook and he was very nice as well. Allen came after but he too was very polite. I did visit the restroom. It was very clean. If I visit VA Beach again, I will definitely be back. Thank you Dawn, Matthew and Allen.

Special Thanks to Morgan from catering .. she helped me and my wife with our reception catering made it very easy and simple no pressure was able to accommodate enough food within 24 hours with no problems at a reasonable price which sides Brands and all the paper products you need to go with it which is always a plus. Looking forward to seeing the food and serving it to our guest. Appreciate your time and your help if anybody need some catering done I'd give him a call like I said we're a hundred people short notice and it was no problems they were quick to jump on it give these guys a call to do great work. Definitely give an update after I get to try the food looking forward to it just for customer service for thumbs-up and five stars thank you so much for making food for our reception would definitely update after the event and post some pictures..... Update WOW.. Great job on food was very delicious ther was plenty of food.. The catering size portions are excellent size. Had plenty of food for are guest.. Food was amazing have eaten here n past but been awhile and was still as good as I remember.. 100 Thumbs up 5 stars if you need somebody to cater your event please give him a call so well worth the money great price and everywhere they had the best prices really good food. The fried chicken is worth the wait! They batter and deep fry to order! We had the brisket sandwich with Mac&cheese and coleslaw, and fried chicken with beefy beans and green beans. The Mac&cheese was great as were the beefy beans! The brisket for the sandwich was sliced extra thin, great sandwich!

I picked up a catering order of 10 pounds of Bbq, 10 pounds of bbq pulled chicken and 10 pounds of beef brisket. Also buns, baked beans and cole slaw. The order was hot and ready to travel in a cooler. The coleslaw was in a cooler bag with ice. They loaded it all in my car for me. They included silverware, plates napkins and tons of side sauces. The mahogany sauce is my favorite; OMG good!! All of our guests were very complimentary of the taste and variety. All of this and the price was right! I highly recommend Beach Bully catering!!

The ribs tasted like nothing and all the meats were dry but their coleslaw was okay. Their fries were grease sponges and the ribs had a consistency of microwaved ribs all in all I do not recommend

Great food and excellent service. They even made a grilled cheese for my son even though it wasn’t on the menu. They serve, to me, what is Lexington style vinegar based chopped pork which usually I am not a fan of, but this was excellent. The ribs had great flavor, were not over cooked and had a nice bite to them. The fries are fresh cut, Mac n cheese and hush puppies were very tasty. I would recommend you stop in a give this place a try.

Delicious southern barbecue joint. Great fried chicken, good barbeque chicken. Took a risk last time I went and got the seared tuna sandwich and it was surprisingly very tasty. Service is great with very friendly people. Good sauce selection. The textures were a bit off on the chicken last time, but the food was still very good. I highly recommend.

If I lived anywhere near Virginia Beach, I'd be here all time (I'm many hours away unfortunately). The pulled pork was so delicious and the Mac and cheese? Mmmmm. We also got short rib which was even more delicious than I imagined. If you want BBQ, GO!!!

Im all about smoking meat and good BBQ, with that statement out of the way i must say, my family and i didn't like the food here. Now just because we didn't have a good experience doesn't mean you won't like it either. The beach bully BBQ seems to be liked by the locals so you just may like it too. I smoke my own meat at home and i do own a few custom built smoking pits, and I'm always on the lookout for good BBQ.

Great place to get BBQ. The tritip was extremely juicy and well cooked. This place does their BBQ right but leaves the sides with little attention. BBQ baked beans were the next highlight.

The food was top-notch and the service was great. The prices are about what you'd expect from a BBQ place, but the portions were huge! I got a combo plate that had brisket and pulled pork, both of which were delicious. The coleslaw was excellent and the collared greens were the best I've ever had. My wife got a grilled tuna sandwich. I couldn't believe how good it was. Total price was $26. Like I said, about what you'd expect for a BBQ restaurant. Only downside, the facility could use a little TLC. The setup of the restaurant is fine, but it just looks a little on the rundown side. A coat of paint and some new ceiling tiles would go a long way. But in no way does it mean that I wouldn't come back. We definitely will!

Amazing ribs. So soft you can cut them with a plastic knife. The brisket is moist and not fatty. It's cut super thin and is delicious. The fries are hand cut and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Try the mahogany sauce with your food. I also liked the house sauce. Great barbeque!

Glad I didn't pay for it... The food was catered for a luncheon at work to celebrate 5 - 35 years of service. The Green Beans had no flavor. The Mac N Cheese was good (the ONLY edible item). The fried chicken had no flavor and was fried to death - very dry and tough. The Brisket was Horrible - oddly shaved thick and was full of fat. I embarrassingly had to spit out 2 mouthfuls of fat (out of 5 bites) then I was done. The flavor was weird - bland, kinda sweet and just gross. The buns for the Brisket were Dollar store quality. VERY disappointed in the food for this special occasion. Glad I din't pay for it and I will NEVER go there or recommend it.

Excellent BBQ in the Vibe! Ate here twice in one week. Pork BBQ was great both days, Beefy beans were fantastic the first day but the second day seemed like they opened a cheap can of pork and beans.... They were 100% different for some odd reason and were very so so. Potato salad was fantastic both days I ate here. Will definitely return again for more. Also, staff is great and full of personality. Kim and the lunch staff are friendly and fun. Restaurant is clean and well laid out. Outdoor seating looks very nice as well.

Overall an ok BBQ place. Their food was surprisingly kind of bland and I wasn't a huge fan of their sauces. The dining room was old, floors and tables sticky, and just didn't feel inviting. I went to an event catered by them and it was absolutely amazing, so I was excited to go to the brick-and-mortar, but for some reason it wasn't as good.

First time here. Two cooks sounded like they were about to get into a fist fight, not professional at all. I could hear and see everything and I was just trying to order food and they were arguing with each other in front of customers with no problem. Cashier was nice and so was the girl handing out the food. Prices are cheap. I was not a fan of the food but that could be because it is Carolina style pulled pork which is vinegary and it wasn't my cup of tea but it is for some people. No music in the building so it was kinda super awkward coming in, everyone looked like they had to whisper.

Best bbq at the ocean front. An old staple that's never disappointed us. I alternate between the brisket and roast beef, but everything is a solid choice, and the beefy beans are top notch. The entrance to the lot is hard to spot from afar because of the construction in the area, don't let it deter you from one of the better eateries at the beach.

I've been coming here off and on for the past several years. It's one of the best BBQ places in all of Hampton Roads and a locals favorite in Virginia Beach. They do a brisk business! That's because the food is great and so is the service. I recommend the sliced beef sandwich but the whole menu is worth exploring! You simply can't go wrong with any menu selection! By the way, their sauces are delicious. The Beach Bully is always a good call!

Waitress seemed a little sad which is understandable, shifts can be long and dealing with people can get old, but the food was kind of mediocre. I got the pork sandwich platter with potato salad and mac and cheese. The pork was ok without bbq sauce but tasted like it needed some more rub mixed in, the mac cheese felt like it needed more flavor, and the potato salad was just boiled potato mixed with spinach dip mix. That was the most disappointing but the food was fulfilling and not bad

Food was ehhhhhhhhh. The pulled pork had some nasty vinegar taste at the bottom, baked beans tasted like the generic 50 cent canned stuff. Mac and cheese...take jt or leave it. I DID like the brisket How does a bbq joint only have three flavors of bbq, two of which are vinegar based? The cashiers are awful. #1. If you notice people forming a line going in the wrong direction, fix it. 2. When a customer makes a joke, don't stare at them with dead face. 3. When i put 0.00 for tip, don't go "ohhhh" all disgrunted since you have literally done nothing to deserve a tip. You didn't even tell me what to do once my order was placed. F this place.

The service here was very nice, the people behind the counter were kind. The business is very clean and the food came quickly. The only issues was the food - and it was something else. I ordered the North Carolina BBQ sandwich with beans and mac n’ cheese. The sandwich meat was a light gray and looked like it had been puréed. It was maybe the worst meat i’d ever eaten at a restaurant, and definitely the worst meat I’d ever looked at. It looked and tasted how I imagine wet horse meat would look and taste like. Folks, don’t eat here. It’s not good meat.
