Visit mom and always go there. Plenty of food, tasty and reasonable. We stayed 45 minutes after finished and no pressure to leave, although it was 6 pm. Always get 1/2 rack of ribs. Mom likes petite steak

Good location for groups. Better menu than O'Charleys - don't confuse the two as they are completely different restaurants. The food is good and portions are appropriate. This location is up on a hill with plenty of parking. I am not a fan of chains, but my parents and their friends enjoyed this place.

The food was good in the past, this time around is was under-cooked and the salad is always rotten. The waitress spent more time helping regulars and talking to them than coming over and asking us for anything. When we need to ask for refills, menus, the table to be cleaned etc. there is a problem. If you want to just help your regular, you may want to only open for them and not let in new customers. It's inconsiderate. The restaurant has a moldy smell, bugs flying around everywhere and bathrooms need to be cleaned more often.

The food was good the service was good the young lady was very nice. The reason I only gave three stars is I was very unhappy with having to pay an upcharge on the salad we oridered petite filet came with two sides and one side if it was going to be a salad had a $2 extra up charge. I've never had to pay extra for the salad when I have ordered a steak no matter what size of steak or what kind of steak. This is the only restaurant that I've been to that has an upcharge for a salad. Don't think I will be coming back for that reason.

I ordered the crabcake with two sides, sweetpotato fries and mixed vegetables. After a slight mixup with the order, i was presented a crabcake that was no larger than a golf ball, i was unable to discern much if any actual crabmeat at all. Was my first visit and I was very disappointed.

We had a nice retirement party. Charley's has a nice setting. Had the fried catfish which was very good. I liked the fries and three cheese mac n cheese almost as much as the main course. I could have used a little bigger portions but hey. I'm a big guy

Great food, super prices, and friendly wait staff! If you need to hold a work meeting, birthday party, graduation dinner then Charley's is your place! We also love to use their catering.The owners treat you like you're eating at their home!#1 favorite restaurant for years now. Never had a bad meal!They are known for many signature dishes..I tried the catfish sandwich today... awesome lunch.

I’ve been in Lynchburg since 2013. I’m a recent graduate of Lynchburg College/University of Lynchburg. Now that I’m not a super broke college student anymore I actually have started looking for new restaurants to try. Today was my first time ever visiting Charley’s. Both my boyfriend and I were so over the moon about our experience. Service was great, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm. I can say without a doubt that this has just become my favorite restaurant!

I ate at Charley's with a large party (25 or more), and the service was great, although a little slow. The servers kept each order separate with seeming ease even with people arriving and leaving at different times. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with guacamole, and it was delicious!

Late night dinner. Restaurant was quiet. Our server, Sarah, did a nice job. She helped with some suggestions and checked on us frequently. This was our first time in. The food was good and delivered to our table in a timely manner. My ice tea didn't go empty - nice job. Comfortable dining. Bar and patio off to side of dining area with some light live music. Recommend you stop and have a bite. You may like it.

The service was great and despite the crowd, our food was delivered much faster than we expected. There are different weekly specials that are a great deal, plus event nights like live music, open mic, etc. My only complaint is that as a vegetarian, there was only one entree option I could eat, and there were no options at all for vegans. However, the one entree option (veggie wrap) was delicious! I was really pleasantly surprised given that I didn't really have a choice. The rest of my group liked their food, and we also had some amazing dessert (the weekly special of apple crisp - by far the best apple crisp I have ever tasted).

First time here and it was delicious! I had the petite filet which was a perfect amount for me and cooked to perfection. The crab soup was outstanding as well. There are lots of options for any appetite. Sarah was our waitress and she was just so sweet. Definitely go here for an all around great, satisfying meal!

pretty good! Came here for graduation, they had our table ready for us very early, which was nice! They also had a wide selection of teas, most restaurants only have 1 or two kinds of hot tea. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because it was very loud, there was live music we didn't know about. But, i'd love to try it out on a night without the music! Great choices for food and not too expensive either.

My husband and I just had our wedding this past weekend with Charley's as our caterer, and can I just say that I have nothing but the highest praise for Charley's Catering service?! They made the process of choosing them for our catering needs so easy and were absolutely amazing at the event as well. During the initial selection process, we came in to meet with Lisa and she answered any questions we may have had. After we officially chose them as our caterers, we were prompted to choose several entrees to try as well as several sides for them to have ready for us when we came in to try food at the next meeting. Even while we were there, they still offered to put together a different side if we so chose. We ended up deciding on the Teriyaki Chicken w Pineapple, the Sirloin Beef tips in Mushroom Gravy, the Roasted Root Vegetables, the Loaded Mashed potatoes, and for our 3rd side they offered to host our cocktail hour with a cheese/cracker and fruit platter as well as beverages(which was such a huge relief!). They had an option for our vegetarian friends available at no extra cost as well. I have heard nothing but the best from our guests and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals ourselves. They brought the two of us our meals so we did not have to wait in line at all for the serving of the buffet option we ordered. They were very flexible with helping us make our evening as amazing as possible. Kendrick was absolutely amazing and super helpful throughout the entire evening. At the end of the night, they wrapped up all of our food and brought it back to the restaurant so we could pick it up from them on Sunday. We arrived at the restaurant, had us pull around back and delivered all of our food to our car, super duper easy and stress free!We would highly recommend their catering services for any catering needs one may have!
