Arrived during lunch rush for a social worker brunch. We were sat quickly and had no issues getting drinks and orders in timely. The ambience is good with bread and desserts being made while you dine. I have the mushroom Brie soup with the tomato, avocado and mozzarella salad. It was superb! Even with a half portion, I couldn’t finish! Lost a star due to waiting on dessert for a long time but, other than that everything was great to include the staff

I've only come here for brunch twice. And most of it is pretty tasty. The only thing that kinda let's me down is anything with fried chicken. The chicken itself doesn't really have much flavor to it. But otherwise great service, good coffee, good prices. And both times we have left pretty close to stuffed. It's kinda hidden from the main road.

Not good. Had a turkey sandwich, can't recall which one, but the bread was really hard making the sandwich difficult to eat. It felt as though the bread had been sitting out all day. It was around 5:45 pm in the evening, so it likely was. My wife wasn't impressed with her sandwich at all either. Probably our fault getting the sandwiches when we probably should have gotten something they are more known for, but we weren't that hungry and we had an engagement next door at 6:30 pm. Staff was great and super friendly though, just wasn't digging the food.

Their salads are obscenely big, but that leaves plenty for leftovers. Service and ambience is good. Stay away from chicken and waffles - while well cooked, not an ounce of seasoning can be found

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pretty! It was a relaxing meal, and we really enjoyed it! The pizza had a great flavor, though it has that very thin crust, so be prepared! The sandwich I got was to die for, and their house made chips are very tasty! Overall we enjoyed it, and we would love to come back again!

We ordered pizza for delivery via door dash. Wine country salad was sweet and tasty, shareable for 2-3. The pizzas are about 10” in diameter. We had the sausage and onion, margherita, prosciutto and arugula, and farm to table. They were all very good and flavorful. The salad and 4 pizzas fed 3 adults and 3 kids with one leftover pie (pictured). The rest of the menu looks fun, so will definitely go back. Door dash was simple and quick. They delivered in less time than estimated.

Very good sandwich and pizza. Pizza is a traditional thin crust and brick oven baked, not Americanized. Had friendly waitress. May be able to rate even higher after trying more items.

Every review should begin with “I can’t wait to eat here again!” The menu and service were equally amazing. I got the Chicken & Cheddar with Parmesan added to my fries, and a side of street corn. I was expecting the sandwich to be on a bun but the sandwich bread held up to that glorious herb mayo. I also got a tarragon aioli with my fries. Holy moly! The corn was delish but the cheese got kinda clumped to one side. Not biggie. The whole menu sounds amazing so I can’t wait to get back there and try some more. Look out for an update in a few weeks!

The quickest part of our visit was when our waitress brought our check. No one looked happy to be there (I know it’s a job... but come on!). She took our order and then we didn’t see her for at least 20 minutes. It seemed like most of the staff was talking behind the counter (talking and laughing). We will be going to the greenbrier location next time.

Always great food, but no more meatloaf. They said it's off the menu for good, not because of summertime. At least they still have asiago chicken, another favorite. Mushroom soup is good. Tasty sandwiches. And chocolate charlotte was still there.

The place was busy for a late lunch. Brian was our server (we have had him several times...he is awesome) My mom had the Smash Burger....it's the best. And I had a brunch item...the Shakashouka (sp) it's poched eggs in a red sauce with feta and avocado and sourdough...to damn die for. Service was on point as always....and the food was delish. We have a Bakers Crust in Chesapeake but always choose this location for the great service we ALWAYS get. When you have servers like Brian and the kitchen staff cooking such great items, it's worth the lil extra drive. Thanks BC❤️

Let's start with the drinks...the mimosas were bleh at best. Then came the food. It lacked, well, flavour. The saving grace was the Ultimate Chocolate Lava cake. Would not recommend this place

I used the Ghent BC to cater a baby sprinkle for my daughter-in-law. Mary was amazing always answering my questions and providing details. I got multiple compliments on the food. It was delicious. And service was amazing when I picked up. Highly recommend!

We had a group of nine for breakfast-not an easy table! The server was amazing - knowledgeable, patient, attentive, everything we could want or need - she was on top of it. We even had another server notice one of the party needed something when our server was helping others, so she stepped in right away. The food, of course, was super-delicious, but it was the service that really made it special.

Pretty solid brunch spot, went here with my boyfriend. He had the bakers breakfast and I had the fried chicken sandwich. My sandwich came out cold but my waitress fixed it immediately, which I appreciated. The food itself was really good! Try the Korean bbq rib appetizer. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal too. If you’re in the area check it out!

We were in the restaurant for 2 and a 1/2 hours. Worst service! Waited 40 minutes to even get water! Ordered drinks and appetizer and after an hour ask where they were ! Finally got them and ordered lunch. Another 45 minutes to get that! Told waiter mid lunch we wanted dessert had to ask another waiter for menu and then after another 30 minutes just said forget the dessert we ordered we have to go to an appointment. No discount, sorry nothing ! Food was cold. Have always loved this restaurant but never again! Josi

First time here! The service was great and fast. We also got an appetizer, the house chips. Delish! The chicken and waffles were good, but I will honestly say it wasn't as seasoned as I prefer. But it was definitely crunchy and crispy. We got a take home pizza as well. I will surely be back to try some other menu items!!!

I would absolutely love to rate this place with 6 stars but l can not because ever time my wife and l decide to go have brunch there some creep in the back always comes out and says what up shorty then leans against the wall staring at her as we are eating and enjoying each others company .who hires and keeps a creep like that around. He is a reflection on the business as a whole. She just told me about this because she knew it would be bad for everyone involved if we where there. I can not spend my money or time at a place that harnesses their customers sexually .l most certainly will never take my wife there ever again! Btw .the food and service is amazing but do not take your wife ,girlfriend, or fiancee because she will be harassed by the creep in the back and you will know him because his pick up line is what up shorty! Then he will stare them down while you thunk you are having a wonderful meal with your best friend

I usually go to the Williamsburg location, but decided to check out the Norfolk location today. Food was delicious, as expected. Service was not the best I have received but was not bad. I think our waitress may have been new. We waited more than 5 minutes to be given menus which did not set a good tone from the beginning. But she was pleasant and I went for the food, not the service. I highly recommend the meatloaf!

I rarely go out for lunch, so I’m not real familiar with most of the area restaurants. My visit to this Baker’s Crust was farewell luncheon for employee from the office. I arrived early as vehicle I was driving that day was not quite designed for city driving and parking can be non-existent at peak times. Also, I had a chance to look around a little before the main party arrived. I really liked the place, the employees and the menu choices. I make my choice, the Jersey-style sub and chips, and waited until orders were taken for our party of about a dozen. Service was prompt and the sandwich very good. Baker’s Crust was far better than any Panera Bread I’ve visited in all aspects. I’m glad a attended that luncheon.

By far the best customer service I've had since I got here. My eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked, I had a delicious IPA along side it. The best part of the experience was our server. She was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. Her ability to share insights into the restaurant and the area really shaped our experience for the better. please come out and enjoy the fresh farm to table menu!

I ordered salmon salad and received shrimp salad. The waiter took the salad back and brought the correct salad to me. When I receive my salmon salad the salmon was not done. I had to send it back. Not a great experience. Especially when the price was $18.00 for a salad and the salmon was not cook properly. There was know compensation. What happen to customer service.

Odd name fine food. My husband had salmon with green lentils - no baked goods. The dish was pricy but also well prepared. The lentils were perfect. I had fish and chips - no baked goods. The chips were in fact just American style fries but they were nice - not frozen, not encrusted, not flabby and cold. The fish was fine. Our waitress did her best but she was also managing the bar and was as a result stretched too far.

Visited on 6/16/19. It was OK but not the high standard for Bakers Crust. 2 of 4 meals were good. French toast and beef and egg bowl not very good. Blood orange mimosa was not blood orange and came just before the check.

I like this restaurant and my lunch was perfectly fine. The waiter however was throwing things around behind the counter and kept.leaving the area, once he left the building altogether . He did not check to see if I needed anything. After 20 minutes of me trying to get his attention, another customer told him I needed a refill on my drink. I understand if someone is having a bad day but he should've called in sick if he couldn't control his emotions. He did tell another customer that's he's taking hormones so maybe that's an explanation. While I support him in that, my lunch was a frustrating experience.

Got takeout desserts. Bread pudding and chocolate Charlotte. The bread pudding is firm with nuts and raisins. Came with caramel and vanilla cream sauce. Tasted amazing once the sauces soaked into the pudding. The charloyts had a nice fluffy mousse and light chocolate cake. The ladyfingers was a great counterpoint to the choclate.

Dont recommend people of color to go here they discriminate against Blacks me nd my husband was seated only to be sitting ther for 20min without anyone comen over to take our order or even ask what we would be having to drink so we jus sat and waited But ther were white people that came in after us they had a waiter and were seated immediately for ther order to be taken never again will we be returning and I will be posting on Facebook
