I, the bride, my new husband, and ALL of our 100+ guests are still in the most wonderful food coma from the Wood Belly pizza we served at our wedding this past Satruday. (June 4, 2016). We wanted a laid-back, Vermont-tastic yet classy wedding, and that is exactly what we got. Wood Belly was a HUGE part of that. Their mobile oven added a fun conversation piece, and David even made sure to include my favorite topping--goat cheese--and made sure that I got enough to eat without having to wait in line. The salad had edible flowers that added the most romantic touch, and later, a pizza special ordered by my husband did, too! David and his crew were also great at taking dietary needs into account, and offered gluten free and vegetarian options. Everyone was amazed and delighted by the delicious food and friendly service, and I can say that working with David and Wood Belly to plan it was a joy, as he is friendly, sensitive, and efficient. We also were lucky enough to have Wood Belly do the bar service, which featured Citizen Cider, a variety of Vermont Brews, and wine. They also provided bitters and homemade fruit syrups like Mint and Strawberry-Rhubarb to make-your-own non-alcoholic cocktails! I could tell that the bar tenders were having a good time, and they even complimented my dancing. WIN. I would recommend Wood Belly to any group looking for a delicious, unique, fun, and easy to work with caterer.

We had the pleasure of working with Woodbelly when they catered our wedding this past September. David and his crew are well organized, friendly, easy to work with, and incredibly knowledgeable/helpful with planning. Our wedding had about 90 guests and we heard rave reviews about the food from everyone. In fact, we had numerous guests ask us how we found Woodbelly and where they could go to enjoy more of their food. It is our opinion that Woodbelly has some of the best pizza Vermont has to offer, and one of our only regrets from our wedding day was that we didn’t get to eat more of the appetizers since everyone was talking about how good they were. Even my family from NY and CT was impressed with how good the food was, and I think everyone knows how good NYC and New Haven pizza is! Woodbelly was also able to offer bar services so we did not have to worry about finding a separate company to handle alcohol. At the end of the night, they bused tables and cleaned up very well. If you are planning on having a wedding or event soon, you would be very mistaken to pass up on this company. We would not hesitate to use Woodbelly again for any event, and we are very thankful to have had them be part of our wedding.

Woodbelly catered our autumn wedding reception. Some people called their pizza the best they've *ever* had, and the salad tasted fresh from the garden. That's because it probably *was* fresh from Woodbelly's garden, just as all of their ingredients come straight from their farm and local organic farming allies. And did you know that their dough comes from wheat that they themselves grow? This is seasonal Vermont farm-to-table food at its best, simplest, and tastiest. We chose Woodbelly specifically because the food comes first. Simple deliciousness prepared by great people. We would make the choice again in a heartbeat. Also, leading up to the event, Woodbelly took all our changes and fluctuations with grace and flexibility. They were a joy to work with. Highly, highly recommended.

Dave Huck and his crew catered two events for us. First was a 240 person wedding and second was a 250-300 person annual meeting and community event for the Stowe Land Trust. At each event, Wood Belly executed flawlessly by providing delicious food and great bar service. At the wedding the meal included salads, mini pulled pork sandwiches, shish-kabobs and the best wood fired pizza around. At the SLT event they provided mini-burgers, barbecue chicken, salads, and the wood fired pizza. I highly recommend them for any event.

We used Woodbelly for our Wedding in Burlington, VT this summer and they were absolutely fantastic! People raved about the pizza a week after the wedding! It was so fresh and delicious and it came out of the oven so fast. Throughout the whole process, Dave was super friendly and made sure to take note of all the food allergies and food restrictions we had which was obviously extremely important. The whole crew was very friendly at the wedding as well.. we seriously could not be more thankful for Woodbelly!

We're big fans of Woodbelly Pizza! They catered our outdoor wedding in central Vermont this August and served delicious, creative, high-quality pizza pies. Leading up to the wedding, we were in contact with half a dozen mobile pizza ovens in Vermont and Woodbelly was by far the most responsive, thorough and friendly. They fed us free samples at the Montpelier Farmers Market and worked with us to create a custom menu using primarily local ingredients. They're very willing to offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, which we appreciated. I highly recommend contacting them to ask about catering your next event!

Woodbelly Pizza catered my husband's holiday party this year. We were looking for something casual and different while using locally sourced food. David and his team were the perfect choice! First of all, the pizza was amazing! Each pizza that came out of the oven was different and delicious. Since this was a winter event, there were pizzas with kale, roasted beets, delicata squash, bacon, chicken, roasted peppers and more. Each one had its unique taste and I loved them all! David was wonderful to work with...we had lots of food allergy issues - lactose and gluten intolerance, meat lovers and vegetarians...They were able to come up with in season local options to fit all of our food restrictions. It was the first party in a long time where I didn't have to worry about what I was eating - gotta love that! They really are all about providing nourishment and excellent service while strengthening our local food system here in Vermont!

Woodbelly Pizza catered my friends wedding in Vermont in August and it was by far the best food I have ever had at a wedding. Mobile wood fired catering is a rare breed so I had little to base my expectations on besides the wedding couple's excitement. Woodbelly Pizza blew any expectation I had away. I was also shooting the photography for my friends and so I got to spend a little time peering over the chef's and owner's shoulders and in there space while I was photographing. They were gracious and fun to be around, focused on creating a well rounded and beautiful meal. If you are planning a wedding in their area, definitely reach out to them.

We wanted to have pizza at our casual Vermont wedding because we wanted food that would appeal to everyone (from picky to adventurous eaters) and taste memorably awesome. Woodbelly did just that! We had so many compliments on the pizza and also got a bunch of leftovers, which made great snacks for guests on their way home and for us en route to our mini-honeymoon!

Woodbelly Pizza catered our wedding on 10-7-17, at the Whitcomb Barn in Essex Junction. The owner, David, is very responsive, and is happy to create a menu that works for you and your budget. The food itself was wonderful...so many different pizzas. We also added BBQ pork (which was unbelievable) and salt crusted bass to the menu. The food was served quickly, and all the staff were so friendly and efficient. They even left us a bunch of pizzas in boxes for later in the night. If you want pizza at your wedding or event, this is the place to do it! David thank you for everything!

There are a lot of things to complement about this business. I booked Woodbelly to cater my rehearsal dinner for about 100 people. David Huck, the owner (I think), is extremely easy to work with and communicates quickly and well by phone and email. The food was also amazing. It's safe to say that the out-of-towners, many of them from New York, were thoroughly impressed by Woodbelly's crispy thin crust and delicious sauce with just the right amount of tangy-ness, not to mention the variety of fresh ingredients for toppings. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Not a single soul was left hungry or unsatisfied. I'm craving their pizza now just writing this review.

Have never been disappointed and almost always delighted by Woodbelly's food and pizza. We have worked with them as caterers twice and will always have them top-of-mind for future catering needs. We get the pizza CSA which is awesome, too. As for the pizza: wow! Perfect dough and crust, excellent local ingredients and superb flavors. Cannot give six stars or I would.

Love the folks at Woodbelly Pizza! They catered the food at my wedding and did an amazing job. Even from the time we had to be in communication about details they were quick to respond and extremely understanding of my wants and needs. When the big day finally came they were there and served a wonderful variety of appetizers, salads, breads, and of course the pizza. Everyone could not stop telling me how delicious everything was, and how they were able to try types of pizza that they wouldn't have even thought of trying before. The best part is they loved all of it! They even left some extra pies that they made in take away boxes so we could munch on them later in the night. Woodbelly was perfect for our rustic outdoor wedding and they definitely helped make our day as perfect as we pictured it would be!

Ok, these guys are just the best. Firstly, they're wonderful to work with. Very communicative via email and phone, had tons of general wedding info and were hugely helpful in answering our questions and helping us brainstorm about the whole evening. They were also flexible and excited to make our dinner exactly what we wanted and provided a bunch of options for us to choose from. Secondly, the food was phenomenal. Their pizza was delicious with so many amazing flavors and combinations for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The salad was delightful. Hearing our guests exclaim: "There are flowers in the salad!" was music to our ears. Can't recommend Woodbelly Pizza highly enough. They helped make our wedding night the best night of our lives.

We had Woodbelly cater our wedding at Longest Acres Farms in Chelsea, VT in October 2018. We did everything remotely, since we were living in Montana at the time. David was quick to respond to questions and was patient with us while we debated options and worked out the kinks of planning our wedding. Day of coordination was excellent and went smoothly. The servers and bartender were all courteous and professional. We would definitely recommend using them if you're looking for a caterer.
