Best food in town.

We drive up often to our place in Westmore and we always include a visit to Sweet Basil Cafe for the last 10 years. Love the eclectic atmosphere. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating and the chef is right there making sure all is well. Get the butter toffee sunday it is worth the calories.

This place is a gem! Food is delicious, and the service is friendly and quick. I only have one negative thing to say and that is that we ordered two appetizers and three drinks and had a $50 bill. No regrets, but I don't think I'll be able to afford to go here very often.

The food here is top notch and the choices are enormous for such a small place. The service is fast and extremely friendly. The only downside is the restaurant decor and furnishings. Saying they are "tired" would be putting it mildly. They need some redecoration. Still....a great lunch served by nice people.

Went there after a long day of riding, the food was awesome for all four of us and so was the service!!! One thing worth mentioning is that they only take cash or check but there is an ATM a block away. We will come back for sure!

We had quesadillas, coconut shrimp and maple chipotle chicken, chimichangas....delicious ... but the dessert was over the hill...a fresh strawberry Bavarian creamed filled eclair. Excellent meal and the service was great!!!

Delise and her staff catered our wedding 2 weeks ago in VT at the Alerin Barn and they delivered a delicious meal along with service that was A+ The bartenders they brought were fantastic and I had many people say to me how much fun they were. The food was great as well. Overall I would highly recommend using Sweet Basil's Catering service. You won't be sorry!

There aren't many restaurants that provide what I call "spiritual food" but Cafe Sweet Basil is one. The flavors and aromas stir me deeply. The food is made with great care and skill from very fresh ingredients. Truly wonderful food. Combine the amazing food with the wonderful atmosphere and people and you have a really special place. We are so lucky to have found Cafe Sweet Basil. I recommend it highly. One of the few "must try" culinary experiences.

Delise and her staff were exceptional at our wedding!! They did our rehearsal & wedding for food and did the bar during our wedding. She is down to earth, will work with what you are looking for, and is truly an amazing individual. Her staff is professional and outgoing ,pleasing everyone's needs!! This is a hidden gem!!! If you are ever in St. Johnsbury you have to stop at the cafe, it's amazing quality of food!!

Lovely little restaurant. We passed through Lyndonville in October on our way to Quebec City, and a local recommended Sweet Basil. It was surprisingly busy for a Wed. evening. We each had one of the specialty bar drinks and an appetizer - the Mediterranean olive plate and the artichoke crostinis. Everything was great. In fact, it was the best food we had on our entire trip - even better than anything we had in Quebec City. Highly recommended!

We went on a Saturday night, not very busy, had a very pleasant waitress, Julie. Drinks were good, bread was good, salad was good. The salmon was way overdone, nice portion but dry and it was the same on all three plates. We will go back to try it one more time and hopefully we will not be disappointed.
