Never judge a book by its cover. My husband had been here 3 years ago, and it was so good then, he added it as a favorite on his GPS (we live on Long Island!) The inside is welcoming and cozy. It's clean. Great sandwiches! I had the best cup of coffee ever. I mixed flavors, chocolate, hazelnut and regular! Great customer service, welcoming and accommodating! A must stop when you're in the area! I was too full from lunch to try dessert, their pies looked amazing.

Where to begin! I absolutely love this place. I drive through Chester, Vt often for work, and every time I do, I stop in to grab a bite. The bakery is incredible, the hot foods are home cooked, and the friendly ladies behind the counter make the experience even better. I often tell them that they should open a location in Rutland! The pricing might be a little high for anywhere else, but I never let it bother me because the quality is perfection. Keep up the great work.

This was the perfect place for a well-made, creative artisan sandwich after a hike. They're very flexible and are very open to customized sandwich orders. Their sweets and desserts are really to die for. I had the best icing-covered shortbread cookie I've ever had - a large shamrock, just in time for St Patrick's Day. And I had to grab an Irish cream brownie, too. Must-stop!

Going to Vermont skiing for years at Killington and Okemo I have often gone by this Deli and seen the parking lot full of cars but never stopped. On this trip friends said they stop there and really like it so we pulled in and found that it is a nice stop for coffee and a snack for the ride home. Everyone was very friendly, I spotted an apple pie and commented on how seldom you find "good homemade" apple pie anymore and am really happy that I tried a piece. Next time going up that way looking forward to stopping for breakfast.

Small little place along the road that says it's been there since 2004. You order at the desk then pick a table. Food is brought to you. Good food, pretty fast (since you order it yourself) nothing fancy.

Best cup of espresso we could find in Vermont. Gluten free, dairy free & vegan options! Terri the barista was so friendly and welcoming. The cafe is definitely a location I would sit in to have a meal. The treats and meal menus is extensive and delicious! Their hours are also fantastic, Open 7am to 6 pm and breakfast is served till noon! Thank you Terri!!

I went there yesterday very busy more help with food service slow got chia latte it was cold Muffin was great one thing that bother me was all the cashier served food then rang people out, Money is the most germs carrying no one washed hands or used deli gloves . With the outbreak of the flu this year I think maybe you should start . Great food and Bakery.

From start to finish, my experience at heritage was dreadful. After ordering food, I was asked a total of 3 times (over about a half hour) to confirm what I'd ordered since one of their inept staff had written it down wrong. After about 20 minutes of waiting I finally got the iced coffee I'd ordered which was probably the highlight of his visit. However, they even managed to mess that up by serving it in a cup designed for hot beverages. This meant that as I waited the rest of the hour that my food took to "cook" the cup became soggier and soggier. When the food was finally delivered a whole hour after ordering, I was utterly disappointed I'd spent 20 dollars on it. The pancakes were spongey and the eggs had a hair in them. I hope you read this review and decide to stay away from the heritage, they don't offer service or food that is deserving of your hard earned money.

This is our go-to lunch spot in Vermont. We love the variety and selection of delicious homemade soups and sandwiches. We always purchase a yummy dessert to enjoy later. We have yet to be disappointed!

Very disappointed! Ordered the grandma Moses tarragon chicken salad absolutely tasteless had zero flavor couldn't even eat it! Also for $8.95 a sandwich they could at least give you a bag of chips to go with it! Won't go there again!

First time buying from The Heritage. Prices online weren't up to date, so when I went to pay it threw me off but let it go hoping it was worth it. I get home and opened up my sandwhich to find that paying for a $8.50 and a $10.25 sandwhich was a rip off... The sandwhiches that I paid so much for were very little, and not even worth it. Wont be buying from here again.

The baked goods are delicious as are the fresh sandwiches and soups. The staff is super friendly and welcoming to tired and hungry travelers! It felt like we were welcomed into a friend's home and they offered us anything we wanted because they have everything! Prices are reasonable and service was quick!
