As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it's based on a high number of scores, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to write tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Catering is classified in the category of Barbecue restaurant.
I really like this place. They have a decent variety of options, and they're always good. I'm picky about restaurant BBQ, but they never let me down. It'd take it over any other BBQ in Knoxville easily. I also live in North Knoxville, so it's not super convenient to get to, but it's worth it. They make a good product, and it shows. Get the burnt ends.
Great food and great service
We came out today for Sunday lunch and had a great experience. Killer food, quick seating and JC took care of us meticulously and efficiently. Will definitely be back. ❤️
Fantastic food. The tater tots are an amazing appetizer the staff is great!
Great food and great variety of options
Loved it! Family friendly. Great service. Even better atmosphere. The best barbecue in Knoxville... and our standards are set with Texas barbecue.
Read great thing about this place online and it has ranked pretty highly in articles for bbq in knoxville. The server was excellent. The food was mediocre.
Where do I start about the dead end Mac attack it’s literally HEAVEN and a great place before Saturday football games
Delicious food..was intrigued by the BBQ Spaghetti...got it and was really pleased! Hope you keep it on your menu!
Ok, when some people think of BBQ they think meh it's just BBQ right? Well not with Dead End BBQ! The atmosphere is comfortable, open and inviting. The burnt ends are really good and the mac and cheese is amazing! If your looking for good local BBQ, this is the place to go to.
Cheap food ain't good, good food ain't cheap is their motto. It is fitting. The food here is exceptional, especially their wings.
Really great food, loved the meatloaf!
I've had much much better. Ordered brisket, fries and creamed corn. Brisket had no flavor and a lot of fat. Fries were overcooked and dried out with no flavor. And this is their idea of creamed corn. WTH! Tasted horrible. Service was also a bit slow.
Food is good. The competition chicken was the best BBQ chicken I've ever had, the brisket was maybe the fourth best I've had, and the pulled pork was good (not as much of a pulled pork critic, I really like brisket). My greens were tasty, not super creative but tasted nice. Overall I'd say they are about equal with Sweetpeas, which is my favorite Knoxville BBQ.
This was a disappointment all the way around. I have heard great things about this place but that was not my experience. We had two kinds of bbq nachos and both of them were meh at best. Portions were petty small on all three meals we ordered. My 11 year old had the kids chicken wings and they brought her 3 little wings and just a few fries. Service was slow too as several of us had to wait for drink refills. The food want terrible and I've heard such good things about it here that I probably will go again and try something different though.
Did the sliders this time, very yummy, and Buffalo Okra as a side. Oh myyyyy...
Amazing bbq and a very friendly staff! Be sure to make it a stop if you plan on stopping in Knoxville.
Nice place. Staff very friendly. Good burnt ends and ribs.
Best ribs in town hands down & the mac & cheese is awesome!!!
Awesome BBQ, need to stop in and tell your friends.
The burnt ends were amazing
Smoked bologna!!!! I loved it. Great burnt ends too. Sweet and flavorful. Sausages packed a flavor punch. Look out for the mild mannered looking pickled onions...
We had Dead End BBQ cater our wedding and they were AWESOME! Leah was an amazing catering coordinator and when we went to sample the food we were able to try everything. The catering staff was helpful, cleaned up the area well, and was very polite. Our guests loved the food and have raved about days after the wedding.
Food was a little bland and not really worth the cost. Of all the dishes we got, only 2 people liked what they got. The tailgate nachos were tasteless and tough. The kitchen sink burrito was amazing. The chicken was good too. The only issue we had were the nachos. We had two orders of nachos and both were tough and tasteless. It's a tossup if we'll come back. The two that got good plates say yes they will, but the others all say no.
I ate here about 4 years ago and didn't have the best experience. Blue cheese coleslaw smelled soured and the beef brisket was cold. Today the food was much better. I had the pulled pork with fries and okra. Everything was served hot. The pulled pork was good definitely not the best I have ever had. Little pricey for lunch, but all together it was good food.
Great food here. We enjoyed it!
I stopped by on a trip from Georgia to Cincinnati and have to say this was an amazing BBQ place. I got the barbecue quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning when I head back to Knoxville.
Amazing food. You have to try the Burny Mac and their home made banana pudding.
Ribs tasted really good. They are not thick and fatty but still tasty. Brisket could have been fattier and tastier. Would not get brisket again. I would recommend ribs, though!
Very cool BBQ restaurant. I had the combo with beef brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was as tender as any I've ever had. The pork had good flavor. Side we're beans with smoked sausage and the mustard and turnip greens. Both were very good. The jalepeno corn bread was a nice touch. Had the banana pudding which was a bit unusual looking but tasted great.
Nothing beats half off wong night, I've been going for three years now and it's only gotten better.
Great food. Callie gave us great service.
Food didnt live up to par and prices were high.
Great atmosphere, food & service!
ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE SOUTHERN BBQ RESTAURANT HANDS DOWN! The pulled pork is amazing, their mac n cheese is awesome, and their arnold palmers are so refreshing! I highly recommend this location to anyone in the mood for some good southern cooking! Make sure to ask for Jesse!
Food is amazing! Burnt ends are delicious!!! Their queso comes with barbecue and it is just, I got a heart attack while eating it was worth it.
I had sliced brisket, smoked cabbage, and potato salad..... Brisket was best I've ever had
I liked the Mac and cheese- a little spicy because it had pimentos in it, but not too hot. My favorite was the banana pudding. I had the pork barbecue and thought it seemed a little dry. The service was good.
Service was great. Bbq was a little dry though
Banging! Staff super friendly & cool just eat good food and have fun kicking it with your server. My GF is a vegetarian & just ate side dishes and we still enjoyed it!
I haven’t been to dead end in a while and I’m so glad I did today! Everything was great! Came in around 11 on game day and things were starting to really get busy. Our server, Monique, was both friendly and prompt. The dead end Mac attack sandwich was awesome! Pulled pork, caramelized onions, pimento Mac and cheese all on thick cut, toasted sourdough bread... what a gut busting combo! The brisket was flavorful, tender, and had a beautiful smoke ring. Can’t wait to return to try more!
Good take on BBQ... I haven't had a chance to try everything yet, but the mac and cheese is excellent and the bread and butter pickles are phenomenal!
Great Service, Tasty Food, nice atmosphere
Dead end barbeque is supportive of their area, and they have some amazing offerings. I truly recommend the brisket. The sauces are a great way to finish off the meats, and their chicken wings are stellar, too.
Great BBQ place. Meats, sides, appetizers and desserts were all good. Service was great. We will definitely be back.
BBQ was good, we got a variety with pulled chicken being the most. Loved the hot fired okra. Service was great!
BBQ Heaven Dead End BBQ has the best BBQ in the world. Most of all, the entire staff makes you feel welcome at each visit. And Jennifer, who handles all my to go orders is super sweet. She always double check, to make sure each to go orders are perfect. I always order the two BBQ Chicken Sampler plate with sausage, pulled pork with potato salad, mac and cheese and my favorite beans in sausage. For dessert you have to try, the large homemade banana pudding from scratch. If you love BBQ, Will fall head over hills in love with all the food at Dead End BBQ.
Great burnt ends! Visited here with a peer from Germany, as well as a home town guy. We all loved our meals and drinks.
Smoked brisket sandwich; great service; this place is good every time we visit!
Me and my girlfriend just left and its safe to say it was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. The waitress was nice enough but the food came out so cold there was literally like a gelatin mold covering our pulled pork. We don't go out to eat often because of the cost so were super disappointed. We spent 60 dollars on two meals not counting the tip and we left after about 6 minutes of sitting there. It concerns me that this is how the food came out at 6 30 on a Friday night.
Good if you're looking for that sweet bbq sauce. But they did have an amazing banana pudding!!
Fantastically cooked pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket and ribs, however there was a lack of flavor in the meat itself. Which brings me to the reason why I rated Dead End 4 stars...the BBQ sauces! There are 3 flavors (mild, regular and hot) and each one brings so many layers and such a beautiful range that they really bring everything together for each meat in regard to taste. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich and you absolutely cannot leave without tasting their banana pudding!! It stole the show for me.
Stopped here with my son in day for lunch since we had never been and we were hooked. The staff is amazing and very friendly. Now I can see why they are so busy all the time. For an appetizer we got the homemade chips that come with a French onion dip. They were like kettle chips seasoned with their special seasoning and really good, the dip was really good as well and unfortunately only comes with a small cup of it (I didn't ask for more because our food came, so not sure if I could have got or if they charge extra for more). My son got the chicken fingers with fries and I got the pulled pork plate with buffalo okra and their pimento Mac & cheese. He really liked his and said the tenders were nice and crispy. Mine was amazing! The pulled pork was full of flavor and great on it's on. They have sauces on the table and all are good, but my favorite was the original sauce, it had the perfect kick and complemented the pork well. The buffalo okra was delicious and the Mac & cheese was good but could have been a little creamier to me. The portions were a good size so we had leftovers to bring home.
We went once a couple of years ago. It was good service and good food. Driving distance is one reason we haven't been back. And there are other restaurants in the area that we go to.
Food was gut bomb amazing! I got tot-choes with brisket. So good!
Smoked chicken was flavorless and dry. Burnt ends were okay. I don't really understand how this place has good reviews. Unfortunately, I won't be back to try any other entrees.
Bbq nachos were delicious. Sauce is a little spicy for my taste, but very good food here.
Great food! Cool atmosphere. Love the smoked sausage and cheese appetizer!
Bit pricey BBQ, delicious ribs and bit stringy pulled pork. Sides was good. I'd say the quantities for price is a bit weak - about a bit better quality than Rudy's from TX at double the price and 2/3 the quantity. Still a nice gem to find on my visit here.
Definitely overated. Don't be fooled by the pictures if you're a visitor from out of town. Serving size is like a happy meal but priced like a $$$ restaurant. They've put more emphasis on the decor than great food...choose something else if you're looking to take anything extra home.
Delicious food. Great service! Great atmosphere
Came by after the Vols win today. Great vittels. Okra, cream corn, and Rock Top potato salad was great along with the service from Taylor. Will see y'all again.Right off I-40.
Great atmosphere for families and couples. Staff is very friendly and food was amazing! Counting the days til we go back! I had the Mac attack with buffalokra and it was wonderful! Andrew, our waiter, was knowledgeable and very attentive to our needs throughout.
We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back!
Good all around atmosphere. Friendly staff and really good food.
I just love everything about this place!
Unique menu, good service and reasonable prices
Great little "hole in the wall" BBQ. Tender flavorful burnt ends. Sweet corn bread. Very reasonable prices.
During our family visit we made a lunch pit stop at Dead End BBQ and it was heavenly! The food was delicious with great BBQ flavor. My girls went for the cheese only quesadilla which were delicious but they saved room for dessert and devoured the banana pudding, oh so good and creamy. The staff took great care of us, a party of nine. The walls were decorated with the best things, University of Tennessee and Peyton Manning items. Felt right at home, Go Vols!
Delicious! Great food and nice place. Try the banana pudding. Keep up the good work!
Awesome food, awesome service! Great place to eat
Best BBQ in East Tennessee. Having lived Memphis, TN I compare everything to what I enjoyed there. This equals if not tops those experiences.
The prices of the food can certainly add up...its no frills and they serve everything on a sheet pan...I enjoy the ribs and the burnt ends are incredible...everything else is pretty standard for a bbq joint...nothing really stands out as spectacular ..there is good parking and a nice outdoor spot to sit and plenty of TVs that showcase sports...they off a full bar with local whiskeys and brews...its not a bad place at all just a bit pricey
Pulled pork, fresh cut fries and fried okra. What could go wrong? Always delicious!
The food here is not good barbecue and our server was exasperated when I asked him a question. He also said they could not do something that having worked in restaurants for nearly 10 years I was well aware they could do he just did not want to ask.
The name fits the taste. Average underwhelming salad, meat tasted like it was cooked last week. No longer do plates, everything is ala cart and adds up quickly! Save your money, others in town much more worth trying.
I had a bologna sandwich with a very strong horseradish sauce and it was very tasty.
Great pulled pork plate. Beyond this the barbecue sauce is magnificent and the baked beans were cooked perfectly. One of the best BBQ places I have visited!
Good service and delicious food. Didn't take long for our meals to be delivered. Waitress was very attentive.
Nice BBQ joint! Tried their pulled pork and burnt ends - and there was nothing left to put in a doggie bag! They let you pick and choose what you want for reasonable prices - service was friendly and fast!
I can honestly say that this was the BEST experience I have EVER had at any restaurant. Our server, Ben, was by far the most attentive and courteous server we have ever had. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible dining experience. Have I mentioned how great the BBQ was? As a native Texan, it is difficult to admit any place can meet Texas BBQ standards. That being said, Dead End serves some of the BEST BBQ I have had. Not a single thing ordered tasted bad and everything was cooked perfectly. The Burnt Tips were definitely my favorite. Needless to say, we will be coming here again!
Atmosphere! The food is good. The beer selection is great. The beer garden will totally rock this fall. Calm enough for family, quirky enough for the gang. And rock the 1982 World's Fair T's!
Boyfriend took me here for my birthday....it was awful...not very much food...got a burger and he got riblets...$50....not worth it and we was still hungry...
Good BBQ, and fixn's. Everything tasted great, except the banana pudding. Somebody from the south definitely didn't make that recipe.
Great food. Wings are a good size, their sauces are delicious and the mashed potatoes.... PHENOMENAL!! Ive never had anything like them before.
The food was okay. I got pulled pork and it was tender but lacking in flavor. I got a to-go order and they didn't ask me what kind of sauce I wanted so I ended up with three containers of hot BBQ which I'm not a fan of. The pork needed sauce so that kind of ruined it for me. The sides were excellent though. Best potato salad I've ever had from a restaurant
Great food in a great atmosphere!
This is an AWESOME place to get a great meal in a VERY POSITIVE Sports bar type environment. The entire staff is friendly and the food is excellent. This is a good place to go watch the games on the weekend with friends and enjoy the SEC!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Great barbecue. Tasty sandwiches. Friendly staff.
I’ve been coming to dead end bbq for years, great food and excellent service. Was also a huge fan of the classic rock, bluesy radio stations they’d often play, though the music seems to be repetitive now. But still highly recommend. 5 stars!
Use them to cater lunch in for a client. They always do a great job!
I had the brisket and cheddar sandwich and it was super! We had a party of 9 and had good service with hot food. Would order that sandwich or the brisket, generally, again.
I came during the lunch rush hour. The staff was attentive and we sat down immediately after they cleaned the table. The pork sandwich I got was good and the hot BBQ sauce they have had the right amount of spice to it. The seasoned chips weren't too impressive but complimented the sandwich pretty good.
Great BBQ and a great atmosphere. The Totchos are particularly delicious
Food is great, but I placed a really big order a day in advance for a baby shower I was hosting. They wouldn't let me pay for it over the phone, told them I needed it ready at 3. Got there at 3 and paid, then they started making it! The order wasn't ready and I was sitting there for almost 30 minutes. Kind of ridiculous, no one mentioned to me it wouldn't be ready at the time I needed it.
This place was welcoming from the moment I walked in. The hosts had the most Amazing eyes, and let's not talk about the friendly service. I'm not a person that is into BBQ restaurants, but this place most definitely made me change my mind. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place. I only wish they can open one in DC they would do well.
Every items we tried today was delicious. Tori, thank you for your suggestions. You're a awesome server.
Nothing really stand out about this place. It's decent. Their ribs are too tender. No chew to them. Fall right off the bone and feel mushy. Their sauces are their redeeming quality. Famous Dave's has much better portions compared to price even when using their specials it's pricey compared to what you get and the quality.
Love this BBQ its Amazing!! Corn bread is on point and ribs/brisket is my favorite.
Good bbq, wide selection of meats. We'll come back to try more of their extensive menu
Just plain Yummie. Burnt ends work!
It was okay the barbecue brisket I had had a lot of fat on it it wasn't hot the fried okra we had was okay but it seems like they have gone down on the quality of the food
Food was just ok waitress was rude not a people person at all
Got the brisket. It was good and fatty. Go there and eat
The BBQ cheddar meatloaf is a must have! Staff was great! Also, try the mac and pimento cheese
Easily the best BBQ in Knoxville. Simple and delicious. This place knows flavor. Everything I had was unique and cooked to perfection. They had so many sides that I had to get 4. Worth it. Next time you go, let me know. I'll drive down from Maryland and MEAT you there lol
Drink, food and presentation was everything you could ask for and then some. The service was excellent
Way over priced for mediocre food
Wonderful food and excellent service .. Thank you John Molloy for your hospitality
The music was great, had a Motown vibe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Mac and cheese is amazing. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and that was pretty good too.
Food was great and a good location
I used to love DEB, but the new menu featured a new pricing structure. It is unclear and looks identical to the old menu. I ordered ribs and 2 sides and unknowingly paid $20. Outrageous. I will not be back because I feel like the menu was intentionally unclear. The ribs alone are $14, easily the most expensive in town by far.
Not bad... a bit pricey for the portions
Great service , great food , loved the atmosphere
Burnt ends are good.
They catered our wedding and did an amazing job! The food was outstanding, especially their bbq, bbq sauce, and mac & cheese! It's my favorite in Knoxville. Everything is quality and tasty! The server was really helpful and friendly as well. This place is so much better than a lot of other bbq joints in Knoxville!
Food wasn't as good as it was the last time I was there
Great food. The pickled onions don't mess around
Food was absolutely delicious. I got potato skins with chicken on them and apple pie. The ice cream that came with the pie was great.
Amazing food. Absolutely fantastic. Get there early for the burnt ends
Quality food with quick and friendly service
Those manmosas have led me into the arms of a man 8 years my junior on more than one occasion.
Amazing lunch! Pulled pork sandwich and bbq quesadilla were both delicious. We are visiting from Texas and loved it!
There are better bbq places in Knoxville that are cheaper.
Went here on recommendation of a few people while in town and found that the food was just okay. Value wise they are a bit on the pricey side ($12 got me a sandwich and 1 scoop of mashed potatoes). Aside from that the staff was highly variable, my server was welcoming and helpful but the one who sat me seemed annoyed I didn't go to the bar. Not sure what those who recommended it to me see in it, maybe I just had a sub par experience. Ultimately I would recommend you check it out to see if you like it if you are ever in the area, I am inclined to think that they most be highly rated for a reason - I just didn't see it.
Great place! Delicious BBQ and nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and you get plenty of food.
Met one of the owners, Danielle, and she was a blast. More importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Mac and Cheese, and it was phenomenal. We also had the queso and it was equally tasty. We had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of possible wines that will make it to the menu... If I'm ever in the area again, I'll have to order a glass!
Great food, great service and friendly atmosphere!
