You will be able to see all the feddbacks of people like you who consumed the services of Roll\'n Pin Café & Grille + Catering (Catering) in the area close to South Dakota.
At the moment this firm gets a rating of 4.2 out of 5 and the rating has been based on 602 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is quite high, and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can say that the assessment is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Catering belongs to the category of New American restaurant.
The food was beyond excellent as was the service. We are a couple of weary travelers and they allowed our dogs on the patio area. Very nice area. We had home made buffalo wings, fish and chips, steak and cheesecake. Highly recommend. A lot of the stuff was home made and that's exactly what we needed. YUM!
Very friendly staff
I was on a family trip and this restaurant was next door to the motel we were staying at. This was my first eating here and was very impressed. When they brought our drinks out they were in tall large mouth Ball jars which I thought was pretty cool. The decor was pretty cool as well. When I walked there was a display rolling pins in various sizes and colors. Some of the tables had metal pipe framing which was pretty cool. The food was awesome. I had the cheeseburger and fries which were generious portions. My dad had the chicken strips and needed help finishing them. The staff was friendly as well. Over all it was a good experience and when I get a chance I will go back.
Great food, great service. Very clean and inviting.
A great place to eat. There were four of us and we all had a burger/fries. The bun was homemade and the burgers were juicy. It appeared they were 1/3-pound burgers. We were all very happy with the food and the service. I'd definitely stop in again.
Can't order breakfast all they have is Buffet
Actually surprised by the great menu & food. Stayed at Motel 6, because of dog. Usually dumps to eat at nearby. Rolling pin was really good!
We will be trying again at some point in the future. We did have a mis-hap, but was taken care of and is much appreciated by me & my family. The steak and sides are extremely great if anyone visits there.
Average, run-of-the-mill Coffee Shop. Service was quick but not very skilled. Food was mediocre, Club Sandwich without mayonnaise? Maybe breakfast is better? Sure didn't seem worthy of the 5 star reviews I saw here or in Trip Advisor
Loved the food and decorations.
Breakfast buffet was amazing. About $10 per person with drinks. Several different kinds of scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, sausage links, strawberry crepes, two different kinds of potatoes, waffles, fruit, cookies, omlets. Everything was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Definately recommend. Great service with a smile! Great breakfast buffet! Great homemade bread! Great nostalgic decor! We have taken family and out of town guests here and loved it!
Excellent service, as usual, friendly, attentive staff. Food is really good, although can be very greasy. Great place to stop, and meet friends, for coffee, a meal, or whatever.
We go to the Rollin Pin at least 1 time a month. We always enjoy their GREAT food, atmosphere and prompt sevice. Owners are almost always on the floor. Liver and onions is out of this world. Love the home-made bread. A must visit in Sioux Falls!
Father's Day buffet 14.95 Mini waffles and pancakes Eggs Benedict Eggs w/peppers and spinach Western egg roll Biscuits and gravy Cheesy hash browns Homefries Bacon and sausage Lunch stuff Terrible food and worse service except the hostess I understand there under construction but that's no excuse for tasteless food and bad service
No menu while they're remodeling... Great buffet tho!!
I ordered the apples foster French toast. It was AMAZING. The service was great, clean, comfortable restaurant.
Had a great breakfast with family this morning. The buffet items were awesome and everyone in our party gave it 5 thumbs up. Great wait staff as well.
Great brunch here. That's the only thing I've had but I'd come back all the time if I lived in town. Cool atmosphere too.
The original menu looked very appetizing. However they are in the middle of a remodel and offered a buffet that was mediocre at best. I will try again after they are done remodeling

Good food, not great. Still a good value. Service is good and a nice selection of entrees. Nice atmosphere so give it a try.
While visiting family in Sioux Falls, this restaurant was recommended. Great food. Generous portions. Friendly service.
Great food. We'llll run establishment
They we're under reconstruction last November and they are still under reconstruction. No menu items just a lousy Buffett. Don't waste your time.
Service was kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and home cooked. They have a wide range of drinks. Manager was nice and interacted with customers. Highly recommend and encourage people to stop.
Great service. We were seated right away and had an appetizer in under 15 minutes. The food was wonderful (highly recommend their specialty fries because they are to die for).
Inexpensive for the type of restaurant
Menu looked good. Food was ok. Service was short. Waitress couldn't recommend anything because she doesn't eat there. Asked if the iced tea was good. She had never tried that either. But said they sell a lot of it. She also rushed to remove our plates like 2 minutes after we stopped eating. We were definitely done but it was rude. Not sure why she was in such a hurry the place was not crowded.

I had high hopes for this place when I walked in cause I liked the atmosphere of it. That changed quickly. Our waitress looked like she was on meth. Jumped around like it too. My buddy ordered a whiskey 7 and she asked what kind of whiskey is that, and what do you want in the whiskey. Service was snail pace slow. There was 6 of us and not 1 of us liked our meals.
If I could give more than five stars I would. The food was good and the service was the best on the whole trip. Wife's steak came out over done and the server had it replaced super fast and stayed until she checked it. Amazing over all experience.
This was the worse place ever. We ended up leaving before we even finished ordering because our waitress was all tweeked up on drugs. The waitress kept touching her face and rubbing her nose, she couldn't even was having a hard time writing our order because she was so high. We just got up n walked out. Rehab girl.
Good food but service and consistency was rough. Waiter was polite but it took a long time and food came out in stages so it was difficult to eat together. We had a large group. Also the same order carried quite a lot. The pulled BBQ was good but some it was drenched with BBQ while other hardly had any. The salads that it came with were drastically different sizes as well when they should have been the same.
This is definitely not a greasy spoon. Located right next to a Motel 6, we weren't expecting much, not that restaurants next to Motel 6s are so bad, we just weren't /expecting/ this. The food is /marvelous/. I'm so glad I ordered the beef with barley soup. Amazing flavor with huge chunks of tender beef. My husband had the pork chops. Wow! And the service was great, too.
The best breakfast we've had while staying in sufu. Priced well and service was prompt and accurate .
My group of seven was seated...4kids 3adults. Waited 10mins for our server to make first contact.another 10mins for our beverages.ordered our food at 754pm by 840 still had no contact from our server.watched every other family that came in after us receive their drinks and food and then management came and tried to apologize saying there was a mix up....by looking at our receipt our order wasn't even entered into their system until 819pm....was not happy do not recommend to any travelers.locals sure if you got "time"
Casual and yet upscale dining experience for the whole family. Quality food and atmosphere with prices that are very reasonable - great for small parties. A must at least 2x a month. Friendly staff members make this a memorizing experience
Excellent service and excellent food. Small town atmosphere with a huge menu. Our party had ribs, shrimp and steak and everything was done perfectly Ribs and steak were very tender. Our appetizer, cheese curds, were the best we've had anywhere!
Extensive menu (See photos) Lots of dessert options! Price range mid - mid high. Service was on the low end of average. We were there late afternoon and there were few customers. Appears to be favorite spot for family parties and dinner meetings as both were starting in another section of restaurant as we were leaving. (Our waitress was probably setting up for them and that's why we could never find her.) At the end of our meal I waited 45 minutes to have them apply a senior discount, which my husband insisted on, and get my credit card back after she took it with the bill. We'd definitely go back if we pass that way again with the hope that it was just an off day when we first visited.
Great restaurant! Staff was friendly and constantly checking in on us. Very clean and had a great overall atmosphere. Plus the food was awesome! Reasonably priced with a great selection. Would highly recommend.
They were in a remodel but the buffet was really good. Very reasonable.
The food was great. The server was attentive but seemed bothered by my presence. I did not feel welcome. Over all it's a clean place to eat with good food.
Went for Sunday brunch. My wife and I both had the brunch buffet. There was a good array of fruits, crepes, eggs, meat, and other items. The eggs with cheese and spinach was delicious. My wife mixed them with the au gratin potatoes which made it ever cheesier and more delicious.
Under remodel...buffet style food made my stomach queasy. Eggs of omelette were springy/chewy/unappetizing. Eggs benedict...questionable hollandaise. Ends of strawberry crepes were dry dry dry (very unappetizing). Bacon was deep fried. Country style potatoes were deep fried...very dry and unappetizing. Cheesy hashbrowns were virtually tasteless. Sorry to say but a complete waste of money!
Just ate there with our 3 kids! Fantastic food and service! The Apple French toast was so good, and my husband said his beef commercial was the best he’s ever had! Thanks Janine!
Roll'n Pin catered our corporate Christmas party and the food was amazing! We got lots of comments on how good the punch and beef pot roast were. The service was great and everyone was nice to work with
Food was really good. The hash browns were amazing. The waitress teresa was super nice and helpfuly. the French toast was not the best and if you like crispy bacon make sure to ask for it. Other wise it was a good breakfast.
Awesome food awesome service! Staff was quick to boot out an unruly customer who was trying to ruin our dining experience. Big props to them. Great place
Excellent Breakfast Buffet (weekend) eggs Benedict:fresh fruit:ALL FOOD VERY TASTY. Nice friendly Service
I've had their catered food before and it was very good. Went to the Sunday bunch and it was not great. The food was cold and dried out and the eggs we watery. "I've had better eggs in jail" one of the people at the tables stated.
Fast and friendly service, clean environment. Food was tasty. Croutons in salad were homemade and the chicken tortilla soup was so delicious!
In an odd corner next to a motel, Roll'n Pin is actually fairly decent, food wise. Large portions for reasonable prices, served in normal time. It's laid out weirdly, seems usually under staffed, and generally has a weird clientele.
Off the beaten path, so quick seating is always available. Their recent remodel is both modern and cozy. Everything I've eaten here has been good, but nothing has blown me away. Fair prices. Overall, I recommend it.
Great Buffet, Great service. With a good selection of food.
I had the Mediterranean omelette which was pretty good. If you want something different on the omelette, they price it as a build your own--even if you simply want something not put on it like cheese. The service was very prompt. Seemed to be quite a few people eating there who were traveling through the area.
Great food and the servings are always monstrous. The staff is exceptional and the atmosphere doesn't require anywhere near casual clothing. Wear what you want and be hungry. Great wine selection to boot!
The food and service were both excellent. We had meaty succulent ribs, delicious hot beef sandwich and finished with cherry cheesecake. Portions are large. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. Will definitely go again.
My husband had the 2×2×2 breakfast with bacon, I had a special1×1×1. Really appreciated that I could order exactly what I wanted. The food was excellent, especially the homemade sourdough toast. Our server, Dawn, even brought homemade jam out! So good! Dawn was one of the best servers we've ever had. The prices are great, as is the atmosphere.
Food and service were good. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant and went out of there way to help or answer questions and they seemed sincere. The restaurant is going through changes as far as the kitchen and remodel so they only have the buffet but that worked for us. The price was great for a buffet. There was a breakfast side and lunch side.
Only have buffet at the moment, due to remodeling; however, staff were wonderful, food was tasty and the atmosphere was pleasant. I left feeling full and happy.
The Roll'n Pin Catering made my wedding day absolutely SPECTACULAR! Mike went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was figured out well ahead of time. They were punctual, service-oriented, friendly, professional, and the food was sublime! They made sure to check in on us throughout the wedding evening to make sure we were satisfied. Plus they have a variety of options and packages to fit literally every wedding budget. We couldn't have been more happy with Mike and his entire staff at the Roll'n Pin - highly, HIGHLY recommend!
Due to remodeling, they are operating with a limited menu but as always the food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I had the Oriental Salad and I think it was the best one I have had anywhere!
The building is under renovation as of early May 2019 and is limited to serving only the buffet. Wine is on sale and available for off sale.
The Roll'n Pin did a total transformation and I like it. They still have that small town cafe level of service but are trying to get the younger crowd with a trendier decor and really designed up menus. You can get a decent burger over a working lunch that's quick and well worth the money. I've met friends and family for a steak and a Bloody Mary and had a great time. Its no steakhouse steak, but par with most Americana restaurants. Entrees are reasonably priced, staff is always friendly and you don't get rushed out of your table when you're done eating.
Friendly service good food
Always great food
I honestly wish there was an option to give 0 stars. This was by far the WORST restaurant I have EVER been to. A friend and I had both ordered the pulled pork sandwich expecting a nice juicy slab of meat with nice sweet bbq, instead what we got was a ugly piece of pork drowned in what smelt like butterscotch slapped between a bun. It was so horrible I couldn’t even get down one bite. And the overall atmosphere of the place was loud. There was a really loud waitress who I suspect was on some kind of drug, most likely meth, and it was very loud in the place. Do NOT come here. Truckers beware.
Cute little place. Food is great
We went to the Sunday brunch. It was a very short wait yet was fairly busy. The hostess was very friendly. We were helped very quickly once seated. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was great! It definitely rivals any chain restaurant! Highly recommend checking them out!
It was good food, however, if you are going to have commercials and advertise, do NOT have your guests waiting for 45 minutes after ordering to get their food. Make sure your restaurant is fully staffed with cooks and servers. I was even by myself. By the time my food got their I would have eaten a cooked turd I was so hungry. it most definitely was not crazy busy either. I couldn't believe how long it took. I'd go there again but definitely not with my family and kids. The max I want to Be in a restaurant is an hour and this experience far surpassed that.
Mediocrity has found a home. This is like hotel breakfast wrapped in pork
I worked for this restaurant for just a few months and they constantly had flies everywhere. In the coffee in the salary in the iced tea. I often got headaches because the owners and their verbally abusive son Mike who is gm would spray so much fly spray. They sprayed near cooked food. Near uncovered food in the kitchen. And even next to guests eating. I also have this to say about Mike as well. Hope you enjoyed firing a homeless man today. One word of advise. You are the worst manager I've ever worked for because of the language you use. You will never be successful with people until you can communicate like a caring honest manager instead of cursing people out and belittling them because you must hate yourself for being so fat and hateful. Good luck and enjoy your day. PS. Stop lying to your employees as well. Why u think so many quit that you had to close the store for half your hours. Most patheticly run restaraunt and the dirtiest nastiest I've ever worked at in my 20 plus years of this kind of work. You did me a favor so thank you.
Loved the decor. Ice tea was great. Food was solid. Service was ok.
Food tasted homemade and servings were generous. The service was friendly and fast. They have the nicest staff, and the best food! They have a weekend buffet that is pretty darn good. They have an Artisan bread they make that is so good and their Cafe Hot Beef is so yummy!!! (The gravy should be it’s own food group! Yum!!) oven not had a good meal there!! Family atmosphere.
Good buffet options, the biscuits were a little stale but the cheesy hashbrowns were to die for. Great service and convenient location.
We got there around 9 am they only had a all you can eat buffet they were low on food n had a small variety
The food had very little flavor, was under cooked, and was really greasy. I had high expectations when I walked in seems like a nice place but the food wasn't good at all.
Even though this restaurant has been around for a long time, it is the best kept secret in Sioux Falls! Large portions, great food, and a great price!
Used Yelp to find this place. Had lots of reviews and it didn't disappoint. We were seated promptly in a party of 6. Offering a Brunch style menu we were eating Omelettes and Pancakes for lunch. Multiple options to choose from. I like the way the menu is set up as it is easy to follow and choose the combinations that serve you. We couldn't eat the muffin as we had enough food. We took them all to go and served the kids well for breakfast the next day.
We were passing through on I-29 and wanted a local place to eat after a tiring morning run. We got waffles and french toast and demolished every bite! Good service, too! I like that the TVs are visible to those who want them but not distracting to those who don't.
This was a lovely restaurant that we happened upon while traveling. The staff was very friendly. The food was fresh and had a nice variety. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because it took a little while to get our food and it wasn't very busy. Wed visit again if given the opportunity.
Breakfast buffet was amazing. About $10 per person with drinks. Several different kinds of scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, sausage links, strawberry crepes, two different kinds of potatoes, waffles, fruit, cookies, omlets. Everything was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Definately recommend.
Great breakfast buffet
Excellent food, the buffet breakfast was awesome
Great lunch buffet!
The restaurant was alright. Under better circumstances I would rate them higher. They currently only have a buffet and are remodeling. The food was okay and some was cold. The restaurant was clean though and the servers were nice.
Slow service. N not alot of food for price.
We came in shortly before closing on New Years Eve. Had the All you can eat Steak. Absolutely Phenomenal! The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection and came with all the fixins'. Our service was great indeed. ( we didn't think it would be since we got there kinda late, but we were pleasantly surprised) Sean and Tracy did an amazing job! Great Staff.
Nice place like the owner Randy
Came here for dinner, had the burger which was average but the service was below average. The waitress corrected a friend saying "noone calls the meal that" and the kitchen messed up my meal (no egg on burger) and salad was warm with the wrong dressing.
Definitely worth all the good reviews. Don't let the truck stop appearance fool you. Step inside to an updated chic restaurant. The care the owners took in the Roll'n Pin is obvious. Thank you for an unexpected find with a surprisingly good wine list and broad menu. The food was great, the service was excellent, yet unobtrusive. We will definitely come back next time we are in town!
Best meatloaf in town! This is why I go there. Great service and great coffee as well.
Trendy and cute! Food was great. I had the walleye with asparagus and broccoli and my date hag the $10 Steak n fries special. We born loved our food! Bread is homemade sourdough and most excellent! Would def recommend.
Breakfast buffet wasn't bad.
This is my go-to breakfast place. The decor hasn't changed since the 1970s and neither has the food or service. Huge portions of steaming hot food for amazing prices served by hometown servers.
The staff and food here are both amazing. They're extremely respectful and always have smiles on their faces. Extremely friendly and welcoming environment. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and good vibes.
Very very good food. Nice staff great menu
Tuesday buffet, which (having never been here before) had me feeling sketchy... but it was DELICIOUS! The food was fresh, homemade, and filled me up! Definitely will be returning in the future. Props to them for making a buffet with REAL food.
Food was cold from the buffet, the server didn't seem to care. Over priced as well. Worst breakfast we have ever had period. Bad service, worse food.
Great breakfast choices! You can create your own combo. Excellent crepes with delicious cream cheese filling and fruit on top.
The food is always good when I come to the rolling pin, the service is generally property friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The dining area has a nice atmosphere with handmade tables and chairs. Surprisingly they also have a decent selection of wines that can be purchased by the bottle.
The breakfast buffet was very good, great selection of foods for the price. The strawberry crepes were fantastic!!!!!
Nothin available but some buffet :(
Impressed! We came for the Easter buffet. The food was absolutely fantastic! Every interaction with any of the staff was genuine and everyone had a smile. Will definitely be back and recommend highly!
We used Roll'n Pin for our wedding and the food was great. They have wonderful customer service and everything ran smoothly.
As always. Good food and service
It was a buffet only on Sunday. The selection was basic brunch food. There wasn't much space to move around the buffet tables. The food was okay, but I wouldn't choose to go for the buffet again.
From first glance you are not impressed. Just a small restaurant. Step inside and it's very clean. Waitresses are very friendly and it seems ok. Just wait till they bring your food though. Best food we have had travelling all around the northwest for a week. The food was visually stunning to see and had the taste of a 5 star restaurant. Very impressed!
Nice cute place! Mom and pop feel. Great food and awesome service!
Food that was supposed to be hot was cold. Found a hair in my hash browns. The waitress said sorry. So do you think this happens quite a bit?
Service was ok. Unfortunately the waitress told us halfway through breakfast that she was passing us off to another waitress because she had a catering job to go to. Food was nothing fantastic very fun of the mill. The restaurant itself looks very nice. However upgrade the menu and the rating would be higher.
Probably never go back to this place, tried to order an omelet without ham and was told no substitutions, I can go on and on, they also don’t use their coupons correctly. Also beware when they say “our cooks are confused”. They use that excuse so you can’t make substitutions. Proceed with caution
Great food! Good service, very welcoming atmosphere. Food was delicious and priced right. Highly recommend
Gonna enjoy our wine got on their sale. Dawn and Mike give outstanding customer service. We can not wait for them to cater our wedding in 1.5month
Great food and service
Really great food and excellent service! Waiter was very polite and took care of his customers
A great breakfast spot with fantastic staff. The eggs Benedict are outstanding. Blackberry crepes scrumptious. Turkey club omelette to die for. Prices low for what you are getting. Simply a great restaurant run by good people.
Great onion rings! Friendly staff. I'll save room for pie next time.
Going to be great when remodeling is done
Had the brunch buffet, nice selection of stuff, everything i tried was excellent, staff very freindly.
Our family has been dining here for years and have always enjoyed fabulous food, friendly service at reasonable pricing in a fun atmosphere. We are accommodated very well when we come here in large group settings for dinner meetings in their private dining area.
I had a hot beef and my wife had a patty melt, both were great. I would recommend the Rollin pin. The staff wat attentive but overly. Great job all around.
Great food good service and nice atmosphere.
Good food, just disappointed it was buffet only as they are remodeling. I thought the price was a little high for the buffet and the limited choice. We'll be back after the remodel.
They are currently in renovations at the time of my visit, and are only offering a buffet style meal. We almost left after seeing this, but I didn't want to drive across town for another breakfast spot. I'm SO glad we stayed. Their basic breakfast buffet was quality! And their non-conventional items were 5 stars worthy. For the price it was easily the best stop of our trip. If your looking for a wonderful breakfast spot I'd not hesitate to stop in!
Service great, food not so much.
First time since the remodel. This place is our new favorite! The buffet is amazing, and if you're not feeling up to that, the menu is amazing as well. A crazy amount of vegetarian and/or gluten free items. The motif feels like my grandma's eat-in kitchen in small-town South Dakota. Can't say enough good things. #letsguide
Traditional Eggs Benedict was awesome. Theresa M. was an excellent and attentive server. Quality ingredients, large portions, great coffee.
Terrific food and service. Very chic
The food is excellent. Salad had nice greens with great homemade French dressing. I had Asiago chicken and it was very good too. They give you 2 pieces of sourdough bread that has a great flavor.
Very good food. Ate New York strip with red potatoes and toast. Best breakfast I've had in a long time
Amazing food and service. Had the Bacon Benedict, and it was fantastic! Some of the best bacon I've ever had. This is now one of my favorite breakfast spots.
Great food. Great service!
Best place to eat in SF, has something for everyone and the waiters/waitresses are all so kind!
We went for breakfast at 9 am. We were pleasently suprised with a breakfast buffet. We were Leary at first as we were just looking for a little breakfast. The selection was wonderful;. Eggs Benedict, cheese stuffed crepes with berries, waffles, french toast, 2 kinds of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, omelettes, not to mention the fruit and warm rolls. The service could have used some work but the food was outstanding!
My husband and I were passing through Sioux Falls on our way to camping in the badlands and stopped here on a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed. The food was great, and our server, Teresa, was absolutely lovely! Would highly recommend.
Great food, our server was fantastic and very attentive
Found while on our way driving to Yellowstone. Unbelievably fantastic! Great selection of food and reasonably priced. Service was great! Spot-on especially for a Saturday morning. Food was delicious - generous portions! Highly recommend!
