We booked Chef Dominique's for our daughter's wedding June 2014 and had a wonderful experience. Stacey and the staff were outstanding and took care of everything we asked for. The food was beyond delicious; the presentation of the buffet was spectacular; the tables were set beautifully. Jessica and Jerrod were always near to make sure we felt everything was in order and going as we expected. We could not have asked for a better experience and would recommend Chef Dominique's for any event. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!

Thank you Chef Dominique's Catering for exquisite food, exceptional catering staff, and professional service all throughout my wedding planning process! After working with Chef Dominique's Catering for my college graduation, I knew they would provide phenomenal food; however, they far surpassed my expectations for my wedding! They catered to any and all dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, etc), allowing each guest to have a meal to their liking. I received so many compliments on the food at my wedding! Not only was the food exceptional, but the catering staff was so friendly, professional, clean, and on top of everything at the wedding. Every step leading up to the wedding was a breeze. Again, Chef Dominque and his staff were so professional, flexible, and great to work with. I felt informed and cared for every step of the way. I will certainly be recommending Chef Dominique's Catering to other brides, as well as utilize their services for future personal events!

Chef Dom and his team recently catered our wedding on our family's farm near Canton, SD. Stacey and Jess were amazing to work with from the beginning. We wanted a very different menu than anything Chef Dom had done before - we were looking for South Indian - American fusion with family style meal. They pulled off an amazing meal that both the Indians and Americans loved. We have gotten so many compliments. People have remarked that normally wedding food is so bad but this was amazing!!! His serving and bartending staff was amazing and efficient. They made what could have been a very stressful part of the wedding, a breeze!

We just wanted to thank everyone at Chef Dominique's for everything again!! We had the most amazing wedding day and the reception went flawlessly. Tigh and I had the best day full of memories! All of the staff were so helpful and happy that evening which made our reception totally enjoyable. Jess was excellent and kept everything running smoothly all night. And the food was beyond amazing --- we heard numerous compliments from everyone that night (and continue to hear them now) about how wonderful everything tasted from the salad to the baron of beef and everything in between. We had a great time working with Stacey, Jess, and Chef Dominique during our wedding planning process. We appreciated how you met with us throughout the year and kept track of all of the small details for us. The set up and decorating was so easy and it looked perfect! And you helped us plan a gourmet meal that was within our budget (which I know my Dad loved)! There is nothing more to say than outstanding. A year and a half later, people are still talking about our food. They made sure everything went smoothly, and despite our venue being an hour and a half away from Sioux Falls, the food was fresh and hot. They worked with us on all the details to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. Plus, getting to attend the tasting beforehand was extremely helpful. Absolutely exceptional service, and would recommend to anyone.

I've heard stories and now have tasted for myself, they lack attention to details for food and service and relatively high cost for what you're getting. Here's a few critical mistakes that I noticed: Salad was dumped from a bag, not cut up into bite sized portions Roast beef was dry by the point it was served, they kept it warm too long Spinach artichoke dip was almost inedible because it had way too much cream along with raw flour (rue done incorrectly) and whole spinach leaves. Fresh Mango salsa had little heat or flavor and the mango chunks didn't taste like mango. They aren't in season, but their are ways to bring out the flavor regardless. Caramelized veggie platter: Everything was slightly cold or below room temp, carrots weren't caramelized. Not sure if it's obvious, but previously caramelized now cold sweet potatoes aren't tasty. Ham balls were fairly good, but with one small chafer, they were out and no one was restocking them. Service Servers took dinnerware away shortly after we finishing eating, which was a great touch, but they asked for our water glasses as well and said "there are drinks in the corner" and left. They didn't ask if we were done, just that they needed our glasses regardless if we just filled it and were still thirsty. Everyone wearing a serving coat did not fit them well, at all. Not clean shaven, did not have a smile on their face, etc. I understand it's Sioux Falls, and it seems like a pretty good choice given the options, but trust me the details matter and Chef Dominique's catering had a lot of easy to see mistakes and they half-ass everything. Scarily, catering from noodles and company tasted better, cost a lot less and with parents or cousins serving, it was classy and a friendly touch.

Chef Dominque: This review of Chef Dominque’s catering is not going to focus on the food. I don’t need to. The food speaks for itself, and what it tells is a story of food that is hand crafted to be the best thing you will taste. The flavors that are created are inspired, and delectable. Out of 130+ people, every single person, every single one spoke about how simply amazing the food tasted. To top it all off, there wasn’t anything left over. With that out of the way, I’ll move onto the most important part...the service. In short, the service provided by Chef Dominque’s catering is exquisite. In long, they care. They truly care about your event. They are always prompt in responding to any questions you might have, always responding within the hour of your question. They show an amazing attention to detail, right down to presentation at the time of our event. The attentiveness of the staff during our wedding was superb. They directed the guests through the line all the while making sure the head table was having their needs fulfilled. They go the extra mile for everything. As weddings go, we had unplanned guests arrive. We had to cut into our wedding cake topper to make sure everyone received a piece, and we still ran out. Even though they had no responsibility to, they called our wedding cake designer to have another topper for us commissioned. This company is founded on love, I remember growing up listening to Chef Dominque’s commericals, and in retrospect they really hold true. Everything they have done for us was seasoned with love. Love for their craft, and their love to making your special day nothing short of special.

This staff is top notch! Our guests were thrilled with the wonderful food and polite service. From the planning, to the tasting, and finally the terrific evening, we were treated like old friends! The highlight was a surprise meatloaf slider for the groom at the end of the night. He was thrilled! Thank you to everyone at Chef Dominique's!

We had the most wonderful experience working with Chef Dom and his staff. Stacey, their event coordinator, was accommodating of our time, schedules and finances when it came to planning the wedding reception. She helped stay on track and up to date on any changes made to the menu. She was flexible when it came to any request we had and also helped us with making sure we didn't forget anything needed for our reception. The staff on the night of our wedding reception were attentive to the needs of the bridal party as well as the guests. Everyone was thrilled with the food, service and overall experience Chef Dominique's provided. The night went off without a flaw and that is thanks to their hard work, expertise and professionalism.
