The restaurant was clean, food was good, people were kind, and it was an overall great experience. There is great attention to detail as I observed the restaurant staff drop bottles of syrup in hot water to clean & they were specifically detailing the coffee maker to ensure there were no coffe grounds from a previous batch. (You have to had had to work in the restaurant business to appreciate detail to quality. As a costumer, I appreciate it) If your in the area, I encourage you to stop by.

Unreliable hours. I have eaten here for 20 years. The sign on door says 10 pm. I get there at 9 pm and asked to leave. I will not return. Today it happened again. Supposed to be open till midnight. Closed at 9. Not reliable. Too bad. No stars.

Literally the best pancakes I have ever had. I think for most people the hours it is opened makes it not so convenient. But I love how it opens late and is there opened at 4 in the morning ready for you to get right after leaving a club or bar.

No frills is right. Service is not that great. No check back from the server after she dropped off our breakfast. No biscuits and gravy on the menu. While the potatoes are real, the rest is from Sysco. Won't be back.

Mrs. Helen & Mr. Steve have spoiled me for some of the best food in town, so for my birthday dinner I had Venus Restaurant and my favorite Eggs, homemade fried potatoes w/onion, toast & hot fudge sundae and a Happy Birthday song. My top choice for a special birthday dinner. Thanks y'all for such hospitality and delicious food cooked MY style! Loved it as usual

The worst service I have ever recieved . The resturant was extremely packed which can be expected with great food however this was not the case today . Our waitress Rebecca was very rude and seemed to be to overwhelmed for her section, her whole attitude changed toward us after we had to have 2 of our 3 plates remade . Which we understand is not at her own doings. But her attitude toward us changed as we made our complaints. After she apparently had dealt with is enough she sends a cook out to try and rectify the situation. Tina beagn to explain to us that this is not a norm for the establishment . She was very polite and understanding of the sutuation at hand . We eill be returning because everyone can have a bad day but you do not take it out on your customers .

I think it was a tough night for the staff. Our group was a bit inebriated and they were closing very soon. If you trust my opinion after reading that first part... well, it was great. Friendly staff, perfectly cooked, and they left the sweet tea pitcher for me.

Very nice , really good food. Ok service. Waitstaff isn't over the top but ok. The food is the star here. They also cater and this food amazing..i have been to a wedding where they catered and it was so good. Overall this is a very good place in Florence go. It's been around for a long time. Check the schedule though to be sure they are open before you go. They close one day O think of the week and are open late or 24hr the other days.

I went to this restaurant and man the food was good. The service was amazing. My server kept my drink full, took my order, explained the menu really well, and she was so sweet.Her name is Becca. Definitely a great lunch break. I loved the atmosphere and Becca made me feel at home. TZhe menu was priced well and they give you plenty of food. I recommend this and proudly give it 5 stars.

I have visited this restaurant 3 times in the past 6 years and each time I have had horrible service. Yesterday my family and I sat for what seemed like forever before we were served. It wasn't until we noticed couples that came in after us had there food and we were still waiting to order. The food looked great but the service was not at the same level. The sad thing is that my 3 and 6 year old was so excited to eat at what the called "The cool restaurant." Very disappointed.

Venus has been the lunch and late night spot in Florence for decades. Lunch is a meat and choose your seasonal sides type deal, breakfast and late night are typical pancake house fare. The Venus Special is where it's at for breakfast guys!
