Excellent catering service!

This place should not be open as a restaurant. Maybe their catering is fine but the food for lunch is horrible. When it was Sobys on the side the food was hot, fresh and delicious. They have changed the concept and it is awful! I ordered a sandwich and it came as only a sandwich on a plate no chips, no sides, nothing. It was cold since it was taken directly out of the refrigerated case and put on a saucer. The bread was soggy since this premade sandwich had lettuce and tomato. I will not go back. I typically give a restaurant two chances but with this food and the high price, no way. I think I would have better luck at a gas station!

When Table 301 was Soby's on the Side it was amazing. As an individual who works downtown, it was one of my favorite places to go for lunch. The food was both delicious and fairly priced. After it became Table 301 everything changed. As if it wasn't sad enough that the menu changed completely and all of the staple weekly meal deals that made the place so great were taken away, now everything is pre-made. Today I had the misfortune to order a pimento cheese sandwich with barely any pimento cheese on it, and wilted lettuce slapped between 2 stale pieces of bread that tasted like they had been sitting out for ages. When they first made the change I had an equally terrible experience in which I bought a pre-made salad, and then was charged an additional fee for dressing, but I opted to give it another chance. Needless to say I was let down once again. This place is absolutely terrible and has been forever ruined. The beautiful renovation is not worth the time or money. I NEVER write reviews but this place is so incredibly disappointing. Why fix what wasn't broken? I understand they want to implement a focus on catering, but after being presented with such bland, stale, poorly portioned food, why would I ever seek their services at an event? The only reason they get 2 stars rather than 1 is because at least they kept their fantastic grits on the menu, and they are still delicious. There is also no denying the beauty of the post-renovation space itself.

We were so excited to finally see a food truck on-site for the Main Street Friday event downtown Greenville. And even more excited when we realized it was part of Table 301 ... until several of us made our purchases and talked amongst ourselves. One quick taste test by a cook should have instantly determined that the tacos were tasteless, to put it simply. And, though the burger was plentiful, it was dry. For the same price, a burger - along with a large order of fries - can be purchased at the restaurant / pub just behind where the food truck was parked. Just a little food for thought - even when purchased from a food truck, burgers should be juicy and bbq tacos should have a bbq flavor!

Ordered catered meal for 10. I paid and returned all of the food. Chicken was dry, veggies over cooked. I was too embarrassed to serve this food to my guest.

There the best places to eat in Greenville. If 301s name is on it. Then it is amazing.

I went here expecting Soby's on the Side, which used to be great. The menu is now very limited. My son & I both ordered a portabello sandwich. It was very tasty but too small (half a pita with a total of 4 slivers of mushroom, along with a little pickled onion and feta cheese) for lunch--no chips or anything else for $9 each. It was one of two times in my life that I felt like we needed to stop somewhere else to have a second lunch. Just not at all what you expect after experiencing Soby's on the Side.

Forget what Vickie Willis just said about Table 301 Catering and Kitchen - the review and pictures she posted were from at least two weeks ago, before their new menu came out. This place is absolutely amazing and has great prices for the amount of food you get. Vickie, you might want to try Thursday which is now Chicken Finger day!! And they have a great combo deal now with any sandwich that includes chips, cookie, and a drink, which means that your entire meal will be just over $10 with tax. Table 301 Catering and Kitchen has always been very accommodating and since their new menu is out, everything is freshly cooked for you, just like it used to be. If I were you, I’d give TCK that second try that you said you usually do! For anyone that has had a negative experience in the past, please go back and give TCK another try - you’ll be glad you did!

While everyone can lament the loss of Soby's on the Side and their fantastic Friday lunch special, awesome Greenfield's Bagels and amazing sides, we should also cheer them on for being able to expand/focus on the catering kitchen AND serve up the most delicious grit bowls ever! Less choices and mostly prepared foods, but they've created a great, open, relaxing space. With prepared food, the long wait times at SOTS are a thing of the past. The mix-and-match salads looked delicious and I cannot wait to try one.
