Great bagels. Nice quiet place to sit and be left alone to read and chill. The only complaint I have is the coffee drinks are hard to read while you're waiting in line since it's awkwardly placed off to the side. Good coffee though.

Mug and Muffin catering handled my daughter's wedding reception and did an amazing job! Prices were reasonable, food was excellent,staff was professional and attentive and clean-up was efficient and thorough. I would definitely recommend them.

this place is quite a disappointment. A medium coffee is definitely overpriced for the quality that they are serving. My experience there wasn't so great. None of the staff is friendly and I'm assuming the owner- whoI tried to inform ran out of the most normal coffee that I would want- gave me the cold shoulder even though I was trying to help. I feel disrespected and do not like this place. and it was only my first time trying it what a shame

I didn't even eat at this quaint little establishment, but rather, went inside to talk to the owner about some work I was gonna be doing in his parking lot....very cordial, all the staff was warm and welcoming, and all the customers inside the place had smiles on their faces....I just gotta make it back one day when I'm not working and I'll tell you more!!! :-) :-) :-)

Great little cafe! I had their turkey rueben sandwich & potato salad. Really liked the sandwich. It was grilled and good quality turkey. The potato salad was excellent; I work about 1 mile away so will definitely be having lunch here often!

Mr. and Mrs Shiflett are a pleasure to work with!! Everything was with ease from the initial meeting, picking out the food and correspondence via email and phone. The day of the wedding , May/4/2019, with less than half an hour to go before I walked down the aisle, my outdoor venue was down poured on! They were able to work with the venue owner and quickly set up in an indoor space and made everything like it should be. Food was great! The cake was delicious and moist! I am glad that I chose them and highly recommend Mug & Muffin to anyone! Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. Shiflett for all of your hard work and continued efforts to make our special day happen! Mug and Muffin catered all of my food and cake for my wedding in June 2014. The food was absolutely fabulous (mashed potato bar, roast beef, fruit, pinwheels, etc.) and they made my cake which was beautiful and delicious. I took a picture and they made it exactly how we wanted it. Jim is fabulous to work with- he was patient and generous with our decisions and sampling process. Catering staff were awesome at the wedding as well. Highly recommend!!

Passive Aggressive Owner: I've spent many mornings in here after dropping my son off to get coffee and simple breakfast at $9 a pop multiple days/week. One day I came in and only purchased a small cup of regular black coffee(basic retail coffee) for $2.75 at Mug and Muffin. After a refill the owner comes by and asks if I ordered any food. I didn't cause I wasn't hungry that morning(not that I should ever say why). She promptly said the I have been "drinking a lot of coffee for only $2." I've spent close to $30 in there in one week with many more intentions to follow along with recommending it to others. I won't be back. If she can't appreciate my repeat business and warm recommendations to others I take it elsewhere where I don't get harassed for refilling an overrated over-roasted pre-packaged coffee for $2.75. By the way, there is a place in Spartanburg where they locally roast your coffee on location for only $1/cup. You can refill as much as you like and buy whole or ground coffee to your preference for $12/pound or by 5lbs bulk bags for offices at a discount. They are Little River Roasting, they have locations with bakeries in them as well and a local publishing book store connected to their building. They supply Wofford College and Steven Colbert interestingly enough.

My wife was asked to organize a retirement reception for 3 individuals at her office - (approximately 200 people). She knew it had to be right, it had to be GRAND. Mug & Muffin lived up to her expectations and went beyond. They were super helpful when she was working with the menu. The food was wonderful, but it was the display and the service at the reception that made the event over the top. Everyone was impressed, she got lots of kudos, but truthfully, it was Mug & Muffin who helped make her look good. Thanks.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. I ordered the Reuben and broccoli cheddar soup. The food arrived at the table in less than 10 minutes. The Reuben was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the soup as well. The meal came with two small muffins and they were awesome! Very moist and flavorful. I ordered a double chocolate muffin to go, and that was the only thing that wasn't perfect. The flavor wasn't very chocolatey. Overall, the food was great and I will be going back, I'll just try a different muffin.

Do Not, and I mean DO NOT use for wedding or event. They had the best tasting food at the bridal show. However, that is where the dream ended. They ruined my sisters wedding. The food was cooked and recooked from an even earlier in the day (admitted by the wife of the owner of the company). It was so bad most of us left it on our plates. We thought we would have the cake to look forward to... I was wrong, my grandmother remarked that it tasted like it was made a week prior, it was very dry and definitely not the icing my sister had selected as it covered in fondant, to a point of being inedible. Several other individuals at the event had to pick up the slack and do the work that my sister had even paid extra. They will lead you into a dream that it will be what you are wanting at your event, but will leave you with nightmare after.

They catered our wedding back in April. Prices very reasonable and the food was outstanding! All of the employees we encountered were courteous and professional and they went above and beyond to help when we realized we forgot to consider the cake and how to cut it. They stayed later than they had planned and helped us get that cake cut! I would definitely recommend them for any future bride!

Horrible HORRIBLE experience. I waited 25 minutes for a to go salad and everyone else that ordered after me ate and left by the time I got mine. When I got in the car the salad was wrong so I went back in and the man insisted I ordered that salad and was rude and then checked my ticket and realized he was wrong. DID NOT APOLOGIZE and when I asked for my money back bc I had to go he was rude. Will NEVER GO BACK!!! 25 min for a to go salad and watching everyone leave that ordered after me. Absolutely horrible...Do not go
