I ordered a fried chicken salad. The lettuce was fresh but the serving size was very small with minimal fried chicken (maybe 5 tiny kitten size bites). There were no other vegetables except a hint of carrot for color . The chicken was dry and filled with gristle. The salads there in general need to improve dramatically by adding fresh local vegetables for those of us who prefer healthier options. As for the fried chicken on top, what a disappointment!

Looked around for somewhere to eat on Thanksgiving Day since we were traveling away from home. Someone suggested we give Lizard’s Thicket a try over Shoney’s or Denny’s. This was a great meal and reasonably priced. We didn’t leave disappointed.

Oooooook. This was the best chicken I ever had. End of review. But no seriously, I came to get some low carb/high protein meal and ordered 2x the 6oz chicken with vegetables. Chicken on it's own has never tasted this good. The food was so dense and tasty we barely finished it. Really good price too, only paid $17 for both meals I had.

We were able to purchase a meal with no additives and cooked with minimal oils which is good. They use natural seasonings such as bacon , fat back or butter. This is a healthier meal and the staff was so helpful answering questions about how the meal was prepared. Thank you guys!

Cold food! Order wrong! Manger was a completely disrespectful. The reason the pick up time was late because I was sitting in line waiting to get my food. Was told If you get a call in order they box it and just sit it on the counter under nothing to keep it warm! Sounds very nasty to me. Also something about the cats that roam around the parking lot should be done. NEVER will I eat here again

We love Lizard Thicket. We normally go to the one on Forest Drive. But we decided to come here since it's closer to our home, but the service was not good. Our breakfast was delivered to our table with slightly warmed grits with cheese. The grits couldn't even melt the cheese. Told our server, she took our plates back and someone microwave the plates and brought it back to us the same way we sent it. They put fried flounder in the microwave and brought it to us mushy and greasy! I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this particular Lizard Thicket!

We brought 3 toddlers to eat with us and our waitress was incredibly helpful. She brought them booster seats right away, water in to-go cups, coloring pages, and she brought them animal crackers when they were done eating. Any parents of small children knows it can be challenging to go out to eat, but Lizards Thicket is always so accommodating. The food was delicious, as always. The collards, mac and cheese, and fried chicken are out of this world. Great food,great staff!

I never been disappointed with this place, but this is my first time going on a Sunday. So I'm hoping the food wasn't tasty, the cornbread was burnt, and the drive thru wait being over 15 minutes, was because of the crowd. But still, they need to do better!! The drive thru cashier was a sweetheart though!

Service was very good and our female waitress couldn't have been more nice. I gave 3 stars because I have never dined with you but was told how GREAT the food was. I was ultimately wanting lunch but arrived a little too early so I tried the breakfast. On the menu the biscuits and gravy looked so appetizing in the picture and it made my stomach growl even more loud when I initially saw the picture. So I ordered with a side of 2 scrambled eggs and honestly couldnt wait to try it. While we waited the server was very attentive to our table and kept our drinks full which is number 1 in my book especially if there isn't anything like an appetizer or anything ordered and she continuously checked on us but not too much. Our food arrived at the table and honestly what I saw in her hands was something I thought was meant for another table. Very quickly I realized this was the biscuits and gravy I ordered and I couldnt believe my eyes when the gravy looked like some weird over floured gelatin type gravy. The one huge GLOB OF GRAVY jiggled as one big scoop as the plate was sat on the table. The sausage pieces that were supposed to be an even blend in the gravy looked like something that came out in pieces from someone's back end. I couldnt believe that this is what was pictured in the menu. Its partially my fault I was to worried to say anything as I didn't want to anger the kitchen or the server and tried to shovel it down as I was extremely hungry. Thank goodness the biscuits were good as I found myself scraping off the sauce and trying to piece together the bits of sausage to make a sausage biscuit. Other than that the experience was good but putting generic pictures in your menu that doesn't represent your product at all was appalling to me. I do want to give your lunch and dinner a try and hope that it's not the same experience. 3 stars for great service the servers were all very nice and were truly amazing in the dining room, the pictures however for the menu need to be updated. It's just not right!!!

This particular restaurant has gone down hill over the last month. The waitresses are great, but the food has been terrible. Long waits for food to be served after ordering. Sides are often cold. Nothing worse than cold mashed potatoes! I understand they've possibly had problems with keeping or hiring good cooks which makes sense per the bad food. Hate to quit going here because the waitresses are like family, but until they get their food and cook issue straightened out, we won't be going back. 5 stars for waitresses. 1 star for food.

Went there Sunday 3/24/19. The service was terrible. All of my food was not in container (which I should have checked it before I left). I called back and was placed on hold for over 10mins. The young lady was very rude and told "hun we're very busy today" this was after O asked to speak with the manager. The manager obviously didn't have control over his staff who was too busy taking care of family members. One young lady left the drive thru to talk to her family who came to pick up an order. Another young lady stopped assisting customers to greet her children and mother. Several of them was preoccupied with nonsense. I watched them get a lady order wrong and the lady left; which I'm sure she came back because her order was missing some food.. the manager wasn't much help and seemed to want to defend the actions of the staff. After being on hold and speaking the rude young lady she hung up in my face... I've been going to this Lizard's thicket since they opened and I've NEVER encountered disrespect like this.

Oh my! What an epic fail. A simple order of a chicken breast with Mac and cheese and fried okra turned out to be less than a meal. The chicken and okra looked as though they were prepared in old 20W50 motor oil. The only thing I ended up eating was the Mac and cheese. Hope they improve as I used to like the food there.

I went in where we normally use the drive thru and asked for the manager. I explained to him about the problem with our previous order and the totally unprofessional and disrespectful phone conversation I had with another manager right after my last visit. He listened to me and told me he would make it right. He too my order and soon after came back with it ready to go. He wouldn't even let me pay for the desserts I had ordered and said all he wanted was happy customers and my business.

The service of the drive through was slow and there was no one ahead of me and after waiting so long to place my order which was for corn muffins and 2 baked thighs. I get home and get the chicken out only to find I had 2 pieces of old fried chicken thighs. I was so mad I thought to take it back then I begin to laugh at myself for even going there and waiting in line that London to get a messed up order. I go to many places for my bosses for breakfast and lunch. I go to this Garners Ferry Lizards thicket at least 6-8 times a week. Lizards thicket itself has an amazing menu. What makes this the best one around is the staff. They were amazing , friendly, and efficient. The cooks always do a great job and never had a problem with what I ordered. The ladies there are just awesome to be around and make my breakfast and lunch experiences absolutely amazing!! A place can be great but service could ruin it. Not an issue here they have both!! Thank you ladies for always making me smile!

Eating here regularly since this restaurant was new, I've seen it roll downhill. The servers are generally neither polite nor competent, and the management does not take action to correct the problem. Many potential customers have left after only a few minutes because of the shear rudeness of the staff at the front counter. I used to enjoy this place, but I'm done with it.
