The first time eating here Thursday and I ordered meatloaf it was great I enjoyed food that taste like my cooking. Good portions for the price. The only thing I would do different is cut out more of the stems from the collard greens and cut them a little smaller but they was season great I enjoyed my meal.

Get that air fixed. My fiancé and I had to eat our food in the car cause the air in the restaurant was out and it was entirely too hot to dine in. Also the food is expensive and I didn't like the fact that I asked the girl who took our order if I could "substitute" fries for Macaroni and after telling me yes, she then adds a fee of $1.49 for the change. That's bad business!!! Customers should be advise of extra charges. We didn't know she charged the fee until she rung us out and gave us the receipt. I won't be going back.

First time trying it was last week, we had them for lunch and then again for dinner. Its so good you make your order come pick it up no long lines nothing. The food was hot and good the price wasn't bad when you spend any where from 6.00 to 10.00 on lunch anyway. Love everything about Capital City

The last 4 times I've went it has been very mediocre . Today took the cake . I ordered my food online got there my chicken is hard and cold but my fries are fine . I came back waited about 10 minutes only to get what seems to be refried chicken . Oh it was hot this time but crispy abs dried out . I asked for a cornbread got the biscuit I didn't want instead . Never again. Get your old cooks back. And change your grease. By the way I came in the door the exact time my order came up with another. Please let's just tell the truth here .

They serve everything from delicious fried chicken, tender turkey wings, perfectly seasoned veggies and sides, and mouthwatering cornbread! -I recommend the Sunday special: Herb Baked Turkey! The cajun fried turkey wings are the main course here, very good. The wait is a little long, but I think it's worth it for the taste explosion you get from these wings. I'm not a fan of the many trimmings and sides, I'm usually pretty carnivorous when I come here.

My family and I came in to reminisce memories of my dad who had passed away years ago, celebrating the memories of him and what would've been his birthday. No racism to this but while looking over the menu a white cashier lady was kind of rushing me to make my order. Granted my 2 year old daughter kept crying for me as my mom and sister tried to comfort her but she rushed me through. Once I received my Sunday's dinner order, everything was perfect except for the meatloaf. It looked good on the outside however on the inside it was red. Instead of complaining about it, I decided to take it home to heat it up to cook through. This was our first time visiting Capital City Grill and although the food was good for the most part, we weren't satisfied with the size of the restaurant in accommodating our family nor was I completely satisfied with my order. The while lady was nice but just rushy.

This is definitely a new eatery to add to the list when visiting Columbia, SC. The food is delicious, but my favorite is the smothered turkey wing's, with rice and gravy, field peas 'n snaps, and mac and cheese, or the yams. This food will put you in a food coma! Oh, and try the punch and pound cake!

Order for delivery when we got out food the drink holder was falling apart all 7 pieces of turkey wigs where in two boxes the fish was super small and we didn’t even get all our order when I tried to call for real 10 times no one picked up there was no plate or napkins or utensils

Ordered the meatloaf plate tuesday nov. 7th and I’ve been throwing up and on the stole for four days. Two visits to doctors care and one to the hospital. Be very careful. I’m serious. The meatloaf was bad and cause me to have food poisoning. Just being honest.

Disgusting. Horrible. Nasty. Health hazard. Should be closed down. My family and I found this restaurant online and the reviews looked good. Boy, what a disappointment. We went there today and ordered a variety of stuff (fried chicken, Mac/cheese, mash potatoes, rice, cole slaw and gravy). The food was worst than pig slime. We literally threw everything away. What a waste of money. Every single thing we ordered tasted nasty. To make matters worst the staff was just the same. They were preparing the food with no gloves, touching money and then touching people's food. Health hazard and flood poisoning waiting to happen. As a matter of fact the tiny bit we tasted, we now all have stomach aches. I will never visit this place again. Don't believe the hype folks. This place probably has their cousins, friends, kinfolks, momma and poppas posting reviews because the food was the worst food I've ever purchased at a restaurant.

Tried the club sandwich today with sweet potato fries as my side and it was absolutely amazing!!! The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp! I also tried the green apple lemonade and I was pleasantly surprised. I will be returning!!

I am moving to Columbia soon and I was hungry looking for a bite to eat cam across this place, I went on 5/15/2019 and had one of their specials the baked turkey wings,greens,and Mac n cheese. Everything was on point the protio. Size was more then enough! That was the last thing I ate for the day! What's even better is it reminded me of HOME , Pittsburgh PA/Philly area too! I was hoping to have a great experience but it was the total opposite, the Customer Service was horrible, they workers there called me a LIAR when they clearly screwed my orders up! I paid 50.00 for my order and only received 2 of the plates! They were very ratchet and laughing and playing, cursing & talking all kinds of mess about me on the phone, wasn’t even smart enough to mute the phone while talking ish! I informed everyone in our office about this and we all are highly disappointed! Smh NEVER AGAIN!!

The barbecue baked chicken was amazing the college greens tasted fantastic and the green Apple lemonade Jesus Christ there are no words for how good that was. The Mac and cheese was serviceable you can tell it's bulk made. Not exactly oven baked traditional Southern but far better then what most fast food restaurants offer in a lot of Mac and cheese. The rice and gravy was just rice and gravy. Although I will say I've been to places where that had a hard race this was not one of those places. Over all I thoroughly enjoyed my food 5 stars

Lady at the register was very rude before we placed our order. One customer got a small slice of cake & wanted to trade it out but she dismissed him. Me & my boyfriend ordered & While we were waiting on our food the chef came out angry about the burger I wanted & said I could not get lettuce on the sandwich, I asked to pay for a separate piece of lettuce & he still would not let me do it & I just asked for the money back & the cashier began talking to other customers saying how much my money didn’t matter that I got back. Then lied to my parents when they overheard her & told them the chef is “being stupid he should’ve given her the lettuce which was 6 cents”

We love Capital City Takeout! The service is always friendly and fast. Most of all everything I have tried not he menu is AMAZING! The deep fried rib tips, the lemon pepper turkey wings, the Philly cheesesteak, and the shrimp & grits are so far my all time favorites. I have already started making them a weekly dinner item in my house and lunch item for my office.

Got the shrimp platter and fish platter and they were sooo good. Seasoned well and loved the hush puppies and coleslaw that came with the platter. Definitely enough food. Was able to feed 3 adults with all of it. I'll definitely be back.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I mean really they are that good. I recently moved to the Charlotte area and I love to venture out to shop and try different food spots. I found a hidden gem and thank goodness I did! Since I've moved to Charlotte NC there is NO GOOD SOUL FOOD places like back home. I mean I didn't have one complaint the cornbread was A1 omg! The sweet chili deep fried turkey wings and the lemon honey glazed turkey wings were good. Mac& cheese and yams were A1 and I mean it's really worth the money it came with 3 sides & 2 turkey wings for $12 this place is 80 miles away from me and idc im definitely coming back again and again. Please try if you haven't!!!!! Like seriously!!
