Aunt Vee (Vernell Williams) used to cook for friends and family every 3rd Sunday and EVERYONE showed up. Thank goodness she opened 3rd Generation because now I can eat there EVERY Sunday instead of having to wait until it was her turn to cook. Also, the restaurant is open other days, so if Sunday doesn't work out, then I can go during the week to get my fill of heavenly deliciousness. My family always waddles away from 3rd Generation. More than enough food, cooked with love and the best ingredients. Can't wait for our next visit!

Servers weren't serving. They'll bring you your drink then just stand around. They weren't even clearing & cleaning up the tables. Then they wouldn't bring ANYONE in my party refills.

My goodness this food is awesome. I have been looking for good down home cooking. With a touch of kindness and the cost of like being in a time machine. My personna is superman but this chicken is my kryptonite. The cake was so moist. Hmmmm hmmmm

My son & I ate there on 1/26/2018 because he needed to take his medication with some well balance meal instead of fast food. That night is all you could eat and it was GREAT. I ate more than I thought I could eat with JOY. PLANNING ON EATING THERE AGAIN! ! !

This place is fantastic! I had the pork loin, melt in your mouth tender! The owner was the sweetest lady as well. If you are in Johnston, stop in and try them You will love it.
