While I was there, one of the associates was blowing his nose over the utility sink. When I mentioned that he needed to wash his hands, when I saw him touch the door of the ice cream case, he said that he wasnt scooping because he was leaving.

A basic tour but very informative, staff are nice and got a small sample of fresh ice cream at the end. Admission is cheap, worth a visit.

Danielle Arndt

We have visited the factory a few times and have always had a good time. I expected the tour to be a bit longer or to see more but it's still worth a visit. There is also a playground for kids up on the hill and the flavor graveyard which we had missed the first few times we visited.

Great place for kids and families. Great selection of flavors, but huge crowds on weekends, especially when you add lot of sugar craving kids and adults! Good location and friendly staff

Average tourist place for the tour. Would have been better if it was in production vs down for maintenance. They offer other ice creams/sorbets not available in other areas. The graveyard is a nice place to remember the old flavors of long ago

On Mother's Day we did the factory tour and went to the Flavor Graveyard. The tour begins with a short video (with subtitles!) about the history of Ben & Jerry's, then you proceed through a good sized room with windows above the factory floor, where the guide explains the ice cream making process. The guide speaks in a clear voice over a sort of intercom with her microphone and answers any questions guests may have. At the end of the tour you get to try a small sample of whatever new flavors they are trying out. We had "Sweet Like Sugar" (I believe) which was cherries and sugar cookie bits in sweet almond ice cream and it was delicious! There were lots of fun goodies in the gift shop and everything is clean and decorated in a fun way. The Flavor Graveyard is a little more of a trek than I expected from the factory, but each gravestone has a funny little poem which I enjoyed, and there is a nice playground on the way. The tour appears to be accessible for those who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids as well as people with hearing impairments (they use captions on the videos and have signs saying that some sort of assistive hearing devices are available upon request). The bathrooms are gendered. I would recommend this tour if you are at all interested in Ben & Jerry's or ice cream in general. I probably wouldn't go again on my own, but if someone invited me to go with them, I think I would enjoy having another visit!

Dan Brown

Interesting place to visit. The tour in my opinion is a waste of money. 7 minute history video, short crowded views onto factory floor & no pictures allowed. Just go eat the great ice cream.

Muhammad Obaid

Tour was nice though it fills up fast. Had a nice playground for the kids to kill time while we waited for the tour. They even had free L2 and L3 EV chargers! Huge free sample at end of tour. Great experience!

Amanda Broseus

Such a great stop during our time in Vermont! Loved learning of the ice cream making process, especially as a quality engineer in the food industry who totally geeks out over that stuff. Very clean facility, good company values, and great tasting ice cream samples. The tour doesn't last very long as it is a small facility, but it's a cheap tour and worth the price. Cute little gift shop and flavor graveyard as well!

What a zoo! Sure they have a great tour, but you have to get a timed ticket for the tour ahead of time. Hopefully before they sell out. And then come back at that given time. To buy ice cream, that’s a joke. Line was unreal. And it was more $$$ than just going to buy a pint at the store. If parking lots are full, then come back. If empty, then it’s worth it.

Nice little tour with a sample of that days particular flavor. Great Ice cream, a little background on the company and the grounds are free to walk around and explore...of course you can sit outside and buy more ice cream in whatever configuration you want. Tour is only $4... Well worth a little diversion.

If you did want to go on the tour thinking you will be given a good size sample, you’re wrong. The one sample they give you is tiny and you will feel like you need to buy one at the end, which is overpriced. I would recommend skipping the tour and just visiting the flavor graveyard and getting ice cream.

Lisa Sindoni

We took a tour while vacationing in Vermont. The tour was very informative and it was cool to see the staff in action making ice cream. The facility was very clean too. Best part was the tasting at the end totally worth the price. There is a small gift shop to get souvenirs and outside you can order ice cream. And boy do you want to after your taste. There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your ice cream and a large restroom to hit on your way out. The flavor graveyard was cool. If you have kids there's a nice playground. They also have plenty of free parking.

Ken Wong

Fun to visit the only Ben & Jerry's factory tour. Parking is somewhat scarce but the site was fun. The tour costs $4 for an adult and gives you a 20 minute tour that consists of a 7 min movie, an aerial tour of the factory and a sample ice cream tasting. The ice cream flavor is based upon the single flavor that is being manufactured at the current time. Afterwards you can visit the gift shop and buy some unique items that you probably won't find in retail stores. Good time and worth a visit!

Josh Elliott-Mendelsohn

Typical Ben and Jerry's shop, with a good selection of flavors and no seating. I'm very happy they provided several non-diary flavors with almond milk; perfect for my spouse and me. Portions weren't overly generous, yet I was quite satisfied with my small cup of caramel almond brittle (with almond milk).

Sarah Long

Nice enough I guess but unfortunately lacking seriously brain cells. How can you work at an ice cream place and not know the difference between a SUNDAE and a MILKSHAKE? You're honestly lucky my fiance is nicer than me and didnt want me to throw it back at in your face then. Please get better.

S.M. B.

The ice cream is good, but the portions are ridiculously small, especially for the money. But the staff was very friendly.

Sh alshamsi

Absolutely Good ice cream. Corn was 1.5 $ one scope cost me 5$! Worker there should be responsible to the customers. I was 2ed in line, she didn't take any one of us till she finished her phone call !

Anayah Williams

The ice cream was a very nice portion,I was so indecisive and the two ladies took their time and helped me make a decision. Overall the ice cream was delicious and the customer service was amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Laura N

Great ice cream and in a convenient location. Friendly staff, too!

Vanessa J.

The ice cream was great but last night June 7th the two females that were closing , one employee was on the phone the whole time she was serving and the other worker was touching money and everything else , touching the mop and then used those same dirty hands to pick the waffle cones, no gloves no nothing . Very unsanitary, and seem to be upset when I declined to the waffle cone and told her that she used her hands to touch my cone. Very unsanitary and unprofessional. I do not recommend going to this location if you want cleanliness

Frank Carr

I went as a chaperon on my grandson Kevin’s field trip to Cabot and Ben & Jerry’s today. Ben & Jerry’s was very nice and picturesque. They had a tour every ten minutes that had a movie, tour of the factory and an ice cream sampling. The tour guide was very informative and the strawberry cheese cake ice cream was awesome. Loved the trip.

Gaelle Piriou

Gooooooood ice cream, helpful staff,

M Matt

Fun, inexpensive, informative tour that ends with an ice cream sample. How can you go wrong? Good sized (free) play area for the kids. Scoop shop on site in case the sample isn't enough. Flavor Graveyard (free and self guided) is fun. Cows to visit. Ample, clean restrooms (although, that may vary on time and quantity of visitors). Nice spot to spend an afternoon. P.S. - they will have a vegan sample available at the end of the tour, but you have to ask for it - also, that was DELICIOUS!

shaine sullivan

Really great staff and amazing Ice cream

Annmarie Hunter

We visited this particular Ben & Jerry's four times on our recent visit to Newport. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The prices were reasonable considering the location. The eatery was very clean. The only complaint I would have would be that there was no seating to eat your ice cream. So despite Ben & Jerry's ridiculous voicing of political views I would certainly visit this location again

It was neat to experience this because Ben and Jerrrys is delicious and the history is pretty cool. I love that they continue to be a socially responsible company, despite being corporate owned. The prices in the gift shop are outrageous though and the line to order ice cream was longer than the general boarding at an airport. It's overall a neat experience but definitely more corporate and commercialized than I expected.

One word: Vermonster. Look it up then get your grub on. You can order at any B&J but why not fresh from the factory? Tour is great and the give you a free sample. Make sure to visit the flavor graveyard in the back!

Chris Moyer

Makes for a fun afternoon. The tour is cheap ($4 a person), and while it's not very long, it's still fun. Free ice cream at the end definitely helps.

I was hoping for a longer tour. It only took 15 minutes. The sampling was of one flavor and it ended up being a flavor I dislike. Was not worth driving one hour one way to visit.

Madeleine Matt

It's an iconic place in ice cream history. Their $4 tour is OK, but they don't tell you until you're on the tour whether the factory is actually making ice cream that day (in our case, they were in a cleaning cycle, which is not nearly as exciting to see), and you just taste one flavor at the end of the tour. We probably wouldn't have gone on the tour if we'd known the factory wasn't in production. The prices for ice cream in their on-site shop are definitely not at any sort of discount!

Christina Marquez

Bryce Nantes

Everything you've come to expect from a Ben & Jerry's store, with some of the best known and sough ice cream flavors going, including the lines! Worth the visit if you're willing to wait!

Owen Bradley

Great ice cream and everyone was very nice, they were even dressed up for a cowboy theme.

Linda's Derma Diaries

LOVED IT! We did the tour and I found it very interesting. I enjoyed seeing the machine that puts the lids on and also the huge box that the brownie chunks come in. The triple caramel ice cream sample at the end of the tour was the creamiest ice cream I think I've ever had.

Mike Davis

Worth the 3 hours trip from Boston! Tour is entertaining, informative and delicious with samples at the end. Family friendly environment with a playground area nearby and good gas stops in the area. Don't forget the Dearly De-Pinted Old Flavor Graveyard up the hill, totally worth it!!

Dean Wilson

The tour was nice, especially the taste of ice cream at the end.

Rob

First time stopping at the plant after many visits to Vermont. Good tour that was informative and quick. Kinda bummed that there isn't any actual production on the weekends, but we got to see a lot of people cleaning the production facility as well as an ice cream sample. It was great to have cone and check out the tombstones of the "retired" flavors.

Larry Cochran

I mean, how can this not like Ben & Jerry's? The tour was short informative and finished with a scoop of Ice Cream (yes, I capitalize Ice Cream). I recommend purchasing more Ice Cream at the shop outside. They have lots of t-shirts at the gift shop, and be sure not to miss the flavor grave yard.

Stephen Bergeron

Steven Riley

This place was solid. I didnt do the tour so I can't comment on that but I will say the line for a cone was rather long and slow. Staff was all friendly and the ice cream was great. I'd go again

Laurent Bui

If you love Ben and Jerry's ice cream, this is an important stop! 4$ factory tours (3$ for seniors, free for kids 12 and younger) that last about 30 minutes, fun park for the kids and of course all the Ben and Jerry flavors you can think of.

Aidan Furze

Émilie Duchesne-Lamirande

The tour, the puns, the ice cream, the souvenir shop - everything is amazingly Ben and Jerry's! But don't be fooled, the ice cream taste test will not satisfy your ice cream lover's needs; however, it might help you discover a flavor you overlooked. It's also a great appetizer before ordering a perfect personalized cone. Bonus; they allow you to taste a couple flavors before you make your final choice (I thought they might not because it was crowded, but they did!).

Corinne Robinson

Fun time. The tour was interesting and was updated since our previous visit. The gift shop had something for everyone. If you play your cards right, the line for ice cream. Nice play space for the kids and shady places to sit. The graveyard for retired flavors was a hoot.

Martina Konečná

Nice, short tour with ice cream sample. Busy even on weekdays. Liked the flavour cemetery

Bhargav Kesavan

Good varieties of ice cream. Excellent staffs. Crowded mostly. Enjoy!

Matan Kadosh

When I arrived at 10AM the first thing I did after buying my tickets for the tour was by ice cream. This place is an ice cream lover’s dream. Plus you can see the cows outside basking the sun and taking in the green pasture. Buy your tickets early as it is a popular place. Plenty of parking so don’t worry about that. Hope this helps!

Enjoyed the factory a lot. The tour was also pretty fun, it's short but at the end you get a sample of their ice cream of the day. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out! There's a Gift shop in the factory and at the top of the hill you can see the flavor grave yard!

Taylor Armstrong

A must do in the area (don't forget Magic Hat Brewery 30 minutes away). The tour is $4 a person and they start about every 15 minutes. You MUST be there to buy tickets (you can buy them in advance in person). Cool insight into their story and a very clean environment WITH A PLAYGROUND and awesome "Flavor Graveyard." They have a shop and an outside station where you can buy ice cream (if you wish to wait, the lines usually long but worth it for the fun flavors!). Overall-Go-Bring the family, Plan 90+ minutes and have fun!

Nathalie Pagan

Amazing waffle cones!

Dave Norris

Stopped in the sunday before labor day and the line for the tour was about 20 minutes long. We got our tickets at $4 each. Then went for a walk up the hill to the flavor cemetery. The tour itself was short but covered the whole ice cream making process. They gave us a small scoop of strawberry cheesecake at the end. Overall we enjoyed our couple hour visit.

destiny gonzalez

Ice cream good . Way to expensive Dairy Queen’s is way better ! Cheaper and and they put more toppings . The two females had a attitude and never smiled, made me uncomfortable ... I’ll stick to Dairy Queen’s

LeoKent Games

Their ice cream's good. They also have ice cream cakes and other stuff.

Paula Downes

A pretty basic tour but a nice overview all the same and I appreciated all the dairy puns. You get a small free sample at the end of the tour which was great. Very friendly staff. The flavour graveyard gave me a good laugh - sad to see some of them didn't make it though.

Miguel R

Very cool experience to visit this factory. The 4 stars are for the lack of tasting options at the end of the tour. There is only one flavor to sample and it seemed like there would be more.

I LOVE their ice cream but the experience,it was TERRIBLE!!! I went there on 8/31/2019 and me and my parents went for the tour, I was very excited to hear we could get free ice cream but I hated the flavor. I asked "the extraordinary scooper Sharon" for the other flavor for people allergic to any ingredient in the ice cream. So Sharon asked me if I had any food allergies. I had none and was honest, but Sharon pointed at the flavor of the day.

Ice cream Factory, a good place to visit with kids. They have 30 mins factory tour. The tour includes one short movie which tells about company’s history, production room 8 step process of making ice cream and lastly a sample ice cream for testing. I am not a ice cream lover, so wouldn’t recommend 1 hour time spent there. But good place for kids and ice lover.

Leslie Morse

Don't go. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. Could barely get my husband's wheelchair in their tiny elevator. And had to park on top of hill and almost got hit by cars trying to get wheelchair down hill. Totally disappointed thought Ben & Jerry's was better then that.

Courtney Smith

Morgan Copeland

It's the Ben & Jerry's factory, so of course it's got great ice cream. There are lots of good things for kids to do: playgrounds, coloring and crafting activities, places to run around and wear off all that sugar. There is also of course a gift shop. The flavor graveyard was cute and sweet and quirky, and older folks might get a kick out of seeing a flavor they only remember. The factory tour is fun and has free samples at the end - if you go during nonpeak hours, it will be less hectic too.

Vaibhav Beohar

Can’t say I’ll give 5-stars to this experience, but overall it’s a fun place to visit. We took the ice cream tour and felt a little underwhelmed by the fact that they just give two tiny scoops of their ice creams to try at the end. Also, they don’t sell their usual products for a cheaper price here than at the stores. That seems a little strange given that it’s a hike to drive all the way up to Vermont to visit them. Anyway, worth stopping by!

Gurpreet Katari

Great place to take the kids. They have a amazing tour, doesn't run on the weekends, so to see the factory running you need to come during the week. They also have great selection of ice creams to grab and go.

A Veerab

1. Low cost ($4/adult entry) and Short tour. 2. Worth your time if the place is not busy with no wait time.

Kelly Malizia

The tour was good. We watched an informative movie that made me laugh at something inappropriate my husband noticed. Then we saw the factory. I liked that the different areas were numbered so I knew where I was supposed to be looking. We got to sample the almond sugar cookie ice-cream... It was heavenly! Can't wait to go back.

C longo

Food flavorful, but otherwise unexciting. Service was good.

Never met a Ben and Jerry’s I didn’t like.

Love to visit here. A favorite for our family. The graveyard with retired ice cream flavors is cool. Of course, the best ice cream ever!

I wasn't able to go through the tour with my family because we had out dog with us. Totally understand why, being a food manufacturing plant. Still lots to enjoy outside and the rest of the family had a lot of fun.

Csilla Zsuzsa

Delicious. I got two free samples of strawberry cheesecake because they had an extra! Loved the experience of the factory tour, walking the grounds and especially the fact that this company values giving back to important community causes.

YourLandAndCruiseExperts Travel

This is a really fun tour. Visitors can tour the factory where the ice cream is made, then sample a new flavor they're working to create. When you're done, visit the graveyard where they pay tribute to discontinued flavors. Of course, there is a gift shop, and there are a couple of photos ops on the premises. Best part - the ice cream sundaes that they sell at their front window!!

Suzanne Palmieri

Always enjoy a visit here. And enjoy shopping for little goodies, too. Nirvana

Fly Fisherman

Interesting tour at a roadside attraction. Very clean facilities. I rated the 4 due to the $4 tour fee. In my opinion there should be no charge. It's B&J's opportunity to sell is more ie cream

Nathan Jirka

I love B&Js

Siddeeqah WALI

Cashier are heroes of ice cream lovely women working there✌

Andrew Vezey

The ice cream was awesome and definitely fresher than from a pint and they had generous servings. Unfortunately, the venue was dirty, has very limited seating, one employee must have been new because she did not know how to split my receipt between a cash and card payment, and they had music that was super loud so it was hard to hear my wife while we were having our ice cream date. I would probably try it again, but there might be better places for social ice cream.

tony estaban

Ice cream was good but the seating area was very dirty and the clerk at the register wasn't helpful at all. He never informed anyone of the happy hour specials and his personality wasn't very welcoming.

Caleb Dunn

They were really patient with me as I was not confident in what I wanted. They gave honest opinions and humored my bad jokes. The milkshake I got was expensive, but it was to be expected; it was good though! I would recommend this place. I would also recommend that you live close to there if you're lactose intolerant like me

Theresa Brown

We visited there years ago. This time we walk by Ben and Jerry. The ice cream there is good to us.

Jeffrey Vernier

Came for free cone day, and I was incredibly impressed at the professionalism and speed of the workers under what was incredibly strenuous circumstances.

Bhakti Chavda

Americone dream is their best flavor however their waffle cone tastes very eggy. The portion size too is humongous with the kid size itself being overwhelmingly large for someone like me with a moderate appetite.

Yemi Ortega

The ice cream was fine, but overpriced for what you are getting. The staff was unfriendly and the place looked like it could be in better hands. Doubt I would ever come back.

Angeline Liberty

We stopped by earlier in the week for a late afternoon ice cream treat and play time for our son. There's a playground behind and up the hill for kids to relax or burn off some energy. The ice cream is always delicious. My son loved playing on the playground and insisted we come back to play some more. So we went back today around lunch time to visit the playground and explore the Flavor Graveyard. There's a gazebo near the Flavor Graveyard and if you down the hill from there, you'll see a couple of cows chilling out on the grass. I had wanted to do the factory tour but it was very busy and had a long line. So I went to checkout the gift shop and found some great souvenirs. My son loved the little stuffed toy cow I found for him. I will definitely come back again and try the factory tour.

Andrew Scardino

Lots of fun for the whole family. Bummed the factory line was being cleaned when we visited. It was still interesting to hear about the history, play on the grounds and shop in the store. The flavor graveyard is amazing! God I miss you Cool Britannia!

Viera Levitt

Great visit with the kids and adults. Tour starts with the video, Ice Cream sample at the end. Enjoyable. Staff was flexible and let us come in with the group that was just leaving.

Henry Geter

I wasn't aware of this factory that organizes a tour, and includes other amenities for the public, like a gift shop and a hall of detailed artifacts about the business, until I checked it out. This was a good experience: the nearby landscape is very nice (Green Mountains); the staff was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful; the flavor graveyard (another amenity) was interestingly funny, but fascinating to observe; and the food itself from their store is always a delight. I'd recommend anyone who visits Vermont to stop by this place as one of their travel destinations.

Lucaus Beland

Rockey Road! Or black raspberry ;) won't regret it. This place doesn't need reviews it's Ben & Jerry's :)

Matthew Marchitto

This factory tour and the graveyard visit was very cool and informative. I definitely would do again. I might do the VIP experience next time.

Ruslik M

Love their ice cream

Parker Kelley

We enjoyed the tour, but felt like it was lacking for the pricetag. The guide was informative and the sample tasting was good. We also enjoyed the Graveyard.

Great stop to get delicious ice cream while walking uptown.

Andru Valpy

This is a "MUST-SEE" attraction while visiting Vermont. The tour is really interesting and teaches you the history and future of one of the most Iconic ice cream brands in America. The guided tour starts with a short video explaining the past, present and future of the company, then moves on to their original production kitchen. The amount of ice-cream that is made every minute will seriously blow your mind. You learn about every stage of the process from start to finish, and you get it from a birds-eye view above the production floor. You are not allowed to take pictures of the production area for confidentiality reasons, but truthfully, this helps you take in and appreciate the work that goes into making ice-cream. Once you are done in the production area, you move into the original flavour lab/kitchen where Ben and Jerry used to create and sample new flavours. While no longer used, the tour guide explains what the room used to be. As an added treat, you are given a relatively good size portion of fresh ice-cream. It was heavenly. Outside of the tour itself, there is a gift shop, an ice-cream store, the original Ben and Jerry's tour bus, and even a flavour grave-yard (complete with real marble tombstones) to honour those flavours that are no more. Fun, entertaining, informative and yummy. Totally worth the trip.

Matt Hiserodt

We loved this place, but know that it gets insanely crowded so I would recommend going in the morning. We got there 30 minutes after opening and got tickets for a tour right away. By the time we left that was obviously no longer the case as they had filled up multiple parking lots. Tour takes about 30 minutes with free ice cream sample at end and costs liek $4 for adults and I think kids were free (if i remember right). Kids enjoyed doing tie dying and coloring outside and visiting the flavor graveyard. We ended up being here for around 2 hours. A must stop for families in the area.

It was great! They do tours and they have a great play area for kids and places to take pictures! Ample parking. You can tie dye your own shirt! We got the Vermonster!

Honestly my favorite Ben & Jerry's that I've been to! Lines can get pretty long so keep that in mind.

Mona Goatley

How could you not give ice cream 5 stars? Tour with short and fun. So was the graveyard. My only complaint is they didn't have peanut butter cup ice cream.

Barbara Brutt

My friends and I headed to the Ben & Jerry's factory tour after a nearby hike. It was neat to see the factory process. We also enjoyed seeing what happens when the machinery is not working quite as planned. I'm not sure if any of us heard anything that the tour guide said as we watched the action on the factory floor. The tour was definitely worth the time, cost, and amazing ice cream sample at the end.

Colorful. Fun. Informative. The tour is okay. Inexpensive. We got right in. But we are visiting in Oct. my daughter tells me people often wait two hours in the summer to do the tour. I would not advise that. Instead enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces. Take photos. Let the kids play on the colorful playground. Eat ice cream.

Justin Dix

I love this place, but parking is very hard to find. Even with parking lots at $10, they are always full

Sara Boyer

I love Ben and Jerry's Ice cream and thought it would be a cool place to visit. I was not wrong. My fiance and I took a drive up to New England and took this fun tour. Its first come, first serve on the tickets so arrive pretty early! But I would highly recommend this tour! Fun times

Meredith Burton

They have non-dairy options!

Danielle Aquino

Ice cream is the most amazing. Fresh, creamy, delicious. The long line however, not so much. 1.5 hours in the cold waiting to get to the front.

Yuriy Baldyasov

This pace gets busy but there is so much to do you won't mind at all. This is a very kid friendly place for all ages. Take the tour and tasting they are worth the wait!

G K

A must place to go if u r in near Stowe, vt. Their mission is so much more than just making quality ice cream. Loved the factory tour

Ed Kozak

Great tour and tour guide. The ice cream as always is amazing. Anyone passing through the area needs to make an inexpensive, interesting, and very tasty rest stop just off I89

Leanna Keene

This place was really nice. It's the actual factory where Ben and Jerry's ice cream is made. Another must see place if you are in Vermont.

I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream but was a little disappointed on the visit. The tour was very quick, about 15 minutes, with a short movie, few minutes looking at factory floor (no photos allowed) then a small sample which was nice, but only one flavour and no choice. There's a gift shop and small cafe but no non ice cream food. It would have been lovely to buy a proper lunch like a sandwich or burger then have ice cream after but no other options. Staff are friendly and free parking. If no queue for the tour easily in and out within an hour which is very quick if you come from a distance away. Feels like it could be improved to turn it into an all day attraction rather than quick rest stop.

Absolutely love this place and is a must visit every time we are in Vermont. The factory tour is cheap, very informative, and delicious (they give out a sample at the end)! Be sure to visit the flavor graveyard at the top of the hill to have a laugh over the flavors that didn't survive!
