7 of us ate here at lunchtime and there was only one server. It's possible that we just happened to come in on a short staffed day - the only server was very nice. All of the food was correct, and fairly good. 2 of the dishes were exceptional, unfortunately, the others were just ok. I would give it another try before I would be too negative.

Good but not great. For around the same price I could go to Helvetia tavern and get an amazing burger. I was looking for a place comparable to that level of food and price. Sadly this is not that place. On the bright side the food is good, the servers were very good, prices were a little high but that is not surprising with how high the minimum wage is.

Lots of good flavors. The chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream was out of this world. Unfortunately, my daughter asked that green onions be left off of her mashed potatoes and they came out with them on top and throughout. She didn't eat much.

Was busy for lunch. Mac and cheese I had was very good. Parking lot was a bit tough and they need to get a front door that opens a lot easier. A lot of elders there having a hard time with the door. Needs to stay open better or something different to accommodate walkers and wheelchair /scooters. The service was good too

Excellent restaurant in Vancouver. Delicious food, great service. Met some regulars who be eating here for over 20 years. Surely that means this place really is quite brilliant. You can also buy any of the art on their walls and take home whatever you like about the restaurant.

Ordered through uber eats, and of course I know that sometimes delivery may cool down my food and such, but that wasnt my problem. My food was still pretty warm. But the country fried steak was very bland and the texture was weird, kind of reminded me of a can of cat food. I ordered over easy eggs, they came over hard. The toast tasted stale, I had 3 people in my house take a bite just to figure out if I was being too picky or not and it's hard to even take a bite out of. When I called the restaurant to complain, the waitress I was on the phone with was very nice, and offered me an instore credit to redeem the mistake. Awesome! But the owner called back and left a lengthy voicemail about how he boxed the meal himself and their country fried steak is the most popular and loved, so the delivery was obviously at fault. And then said that the eggs probably cooked longer from being in the box and that's why they weren't as ordered when delivered. (Never had over easy eggs turn into over hard in a 15 minute time span in a styrofoam box) He said that they could not do anything for me, I need to contact Ubereats, thus not redeeming with the instore credit the waitress had offered. His entire voicemail was condescending, and rude and not owning up to the mistakes made on their part. Ordered here twice, been disappointed both times.

Hands down the best food in Vancouver. We’re new to the area, but already have been several times and now it’s on our regular circuit. Best pork tacos ever (for me), and the Huz likes everything he’s had as he’s working his way through the whole menu. Really nice people run the place (Wally, Peggy, etc). The pastry chef really shines, so save room for dessert or get it to go.

We stumbled across this place the first time we went. It's your typical cafe diner, only better. The menu has a wide variety of choices, mac & cheese, meatloaf, burgers etc...but they also have some create additions. Like Chicken Fried Stake Benedict. Which I recomend. They seem to have thier own special selection of wines and a house made special 'Waddle family seasoning salt'. Service has always been great and while there usually one or two tables open when we get there we've never had to wait for a table or service. They seem to care about thier food and drinks, with things like housemade Bloody Mary Mix. If you're looking for a low key environment and tasty food you'll find it here.

We went here based on the reviews and were hugely disappointed. My wife had the Chicken Fried Steak and said it was by far the worst chicken fried steak she had ever eaten. The staff was very friendly, but the food was below average. I would not recommend this food. I had a Ruben sandwich and it was just ok. I also have 2 girls that didn't even like the mashed potatoes and that is one of their favorite foods. We were visiting from out of town and I usually love the food in the Portland/Vancouver area, but this was a bust. If you want a quaint diner feel with friendly staff this place fits the bill. If you want good food for a good price I would look elsewhere.

My sister had the green chili omelet and it was amazing! So good! I had the eggs Benedict which was on par for some of the better ones I have had. I eat them a lot so I can be picky. Unique hash browns here. I ordered them crispy and they came out great. My kids ordered basic eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon. Everything was liked by all, all but the sausage by my daughter. I tried it and it was good so don't worry about that. She can be picky at times.

There was a bug crawling around in the salad when it arrived, and their explanation was that "Our lettuce is chopped fresh and washed daily, and we apologize that you found a bug in the salad." No offer to refund, to replace the salad, or anything. Just acted as if bugs in food are normal.

Hay hi hopes, only so, so. Had the Halibut and the Filet mignon. Sides we're cold, Halibut was dry. Filet mignon was very nice. Salad had transparency from being frozen. Unfortunate because the ingredients were great with tomato and cucumber. At $34.00 per plate should have been better.

We were so kindly cared for, when we got to the restaurant late! Though it was about 7:45pm, the server seated us and our food was prepared for us quickly. I asked if it would be best for us to take it in a to-go box and was told "absolutely not! You just enjoy your meal!" We did and I was glad that I'd called ahead to ask if a pie, or cake, was still available! We had the last two slices of Key Lime Pie reserved for us! This was very, very close to the Key Lime Pie that I'd had in the Florida Keys! Yummy! Thank you for still being "Waddles", Ducktales Kitchen. Peggy was terrible, we called and ordered ahead and instantly looked at each other in awe due to the disrespect we were given. We got to the restaurant and could instantly tell who Peggy was just by her stressed-out demeanor. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day or what but I’ve worked in the food industry long enough to know that you can’t give customers the level of disrespect she was giving everyone. She at one point (mid conversation) went from a neutral face expression to the biggest and fakest smile I’ve ever seen. What a joke, the only reason for the decent rating is that the food is good. Customer service was terrible.

Food was delicious and our waitress was very outgoing. Unfortunately there was another waitress with short blondish/brown hair that was completely rude. She had a snotty attitude and spoke down to our waitress in front of all of the patrons. She then went to one of our waitresses tables and continued to belittle her to one of her customers. I found her to be distasteful, and completely ruined our nice family dinner. I did use her as an example for my daughter on how to NOT treat people.

The wait staff is wonderful and the food tasty. They have 2 soups daily and specials along with yummy deserts. Also,a small bar. They cater and deliver. The one negative is the parking lot. It is small and kind of difficult especially during busy times.

Had lunch with my wife here today,one of a number of times we have,and have ordered from uber eats a few times,delicious as usual and friendly real people,we ate about 1:30 this afternoon,my wife had mac & cheese and white bean soup?both great,I had a club and fries which were great as well,we both had to bring food home,oh darn,I got so full that i just now at 12:20 am ate the rest of my HUGE club sandwich,great job Duck Tales.
