Great service and great food. This place seems to always be busy!

Brunch was amazing. Left overs were equally amazing later on. I look forward to going back. Delicious!

Praneet Mungara

Good place. Breads are very nice. Rest is decent. Fish tacos we're disappointing. But the mimosas were awesome!

The owner is the exceptionally accommodating and I will visit this place every time I am in Portland. The owner goes out of his way to treat you well, first time I’ve ever been here and this guy treats you and everyone else like the President. I saw him talking to a couple describing their vegetarian and vegan options to them and at one point he needed to squeeze past my dad, he didn’t ask my dad to move, he moved a table instead haha. For us while we were waiting in line he offered us a sample of some fancy bread thing. Then at our table we got another sample of some Portuguese dish, then some of their hash brown casserole, then some of their dough balls. He checked in on us like 5 times in 30 minutes and when I went to the bathroom for 5 min I came back to him sitting with my dad.

Christopher Taylor

Top notch breakfast downtown - try the migas

Sarah Kirk

Huge menu, you can pretty much find what you are looking for. They are famous for their Portuguese fried rice and their crunchy, cheesy, potatoes. There is an apple fritwich which is basically a donut sandwich. Heavy, but delicious.

Cole Hafner

Great food. Great service!

Walli Carranza

Excellent food and beverages with vegan and other choices.

Layne Doyle

Wonderful Portuguese fried rice. I was torn between trying the meatloaf and the rice but the server gave me a recommendation and I’m ecstatic that I took it. The sausage is flavorful and the eggs and bacon are a nicely twist. I had zero wait and got right in. Good was delivered quickly and service was outstanding.

Nathan Woods

Great food and amazing service from Sherry! Had incredibly filing biscuits and gravy with a delicious hot toddy. Will be coming back!

Seth Harrington

This was a cute place! The food was really good. It's a café diner-ish place. The staff were all really great!

Katie Anderson

We were seated right away since we chose to sit outdoors- and greeted with a sample of Portuguese fried rice- which we ordered.

En E. Day

You have to go. We went for breakfast and it was amazing. I got the Portuguese Fried Rice, my wife got the Crab Benedict. Gracious hosts and even more gracious owner (Cheryl) who spoke with us about our experience and was sweet and caring toward us and toward her employees. This is an amazing place though you may want to come a little early to beat the crowds!

Caitlin Larson

As Good as It Gets Catering helped us at our wedding and I couldn't have asked for a better caterer! Not only was the food the day of delicious but, Ed and Cheryl were so kind and attentive from day one! Evelyn was an amazing go to person and always answered all my questions with in 12 hours it was so nice knowing that we didn't have anything to worry about! 11/10 would highly recommend!

Janice T Poetry

Best breakfast in the Pearl District! Excellent service, too!

David Ickes

Quick service and good food.

David Bennett

this is probably our new favorite breakfast place. The food was absolutely delicious we got there at 9:45 on a Sunday morning and there was no line. The servers are fantastic and all of the staff are very outgoing. We will definitely be back to try out that many different delicious menu items

Marylou B

Great food and service ! Good quality-price ratio, I highly recommand !

jason monday

Best breakfast. Great friendly and busy atmosphere.

Daniel Dixon

This area has several nice restaurants among the bars and other shopping Jakes is across the street and so is that amazing french bistro! Cheryl's is great american cuisine, burgers are great, their white Russians are pretty heavy on the russian light on the white lol i like some milk in my vodka or some vodka in my bowl of cereal lmao!!!

Kent Foster

Eugene Parker

Went here for Brunch on a Saturday Morning. The seating inside was extremely cramped, but the server was friendly and polite. I was not very impressed with the food at all, the gravy on the biscuits and gravy was just plain awful. The best things we had to eat were the free Beignets and the fried rice. I'd suggest eating brunch some place else.

Brittany Gaalema

Well that was delicious. I got the Moray omelet I think and my partner got the huevos rancheros - both were awesome. Service was awesome too - they are very efficient getting people in and out.

Ashley San Diego

Delicious food and coffee, variety of options with the menu and full espresso bar, quick and extremely friendly service! Would recommend and visit again! Thank you for the hospitality!

Heidi Willbanks

Fast, friendly service and delicious food. The fig and goat cheese sandwich was perfect.

Steven Gebelin

Super friendly servers, amazing breakfast foods. Try the French Toast

a1namillion .

You must have their cheesy potatoes! And that's big for me as I thought I made the best. Hreat menu and wait is never as long as you think.

Emily Haeger

Portuguese fried rice is so yummy. Quick breakfast, great service, and complementary beignets!

Shannon Taggart

This is a must eat spot! The food is delicious. It is usually jam packed busy but the service is so fast you don’t end up waiting too long. They give each table fresh beignets with every meal. They make a mean London Fog too

Jackson Hong

We went to this place for brunch while visiting Portland and it was a very delightful experience. The lady at the reception was very kind and friendly to help take our name and gave us a menu to look at while we waited. We ordered their house special Portuguese Fried Rice and Croque Monsieur. The fried rice was very tasty though a little too much for breakfast. I especially enjoyed the sausage in the fried rice. The Croque Monsieur was excellent as well. We really liked the cheese on top of the toast. Overall we had very good experience both in terms of the service and the quality of the food.

Alexi Theodore

I would give this 3.5-stars but my girlfriend insisted on bumping it up to 4. Honestly the food is just good comfort food and the servers are generally really nice. However, it really confuses me that it’s a French themed place that has a mostly American/Southern comfort food. Been twice now and will probably go back again.

Lydia Kennedy

Surprised beignets at your table. Beignets were best ever! Wait staff and owners were super friendly. Our salmon Benedict was ok and I did not enjoy the cheesy potatoes. We did get to sample croquet monsieur which was delicious!!! Work trying!!!

Danielle Elsener

One of my go to brunch places!! The most delicious beignets and full menu around

Akhil Karumanchi

The Lavender mimosa and Portuguese fried rice is a interesting combo..just try it

Jerrad Bracamonte

Very good fried rice and lovely service but the Bennie has gluten in the hollandaise!

Jason Dorey

Great place for breakfast. The service was friendly and amazing. The outdoor street seating was perfect to watch the goings on of downtown Portland. We had the Portuguese fried rice for the first time and were not disappointed. Would definitely go back if in Portland again.

David Shevitz

Delicious! I am not vegan, but their "chicken" vegan sandwich looked good and tasted better. Great place to eat!

Masyih Ford

Went here for a weekend brunch with a big group. This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a while. The food was delicious. Our server Kaia (pictured in the rainbow skirt) was TOP NOTCH.

Jon Smart

Just had an outstanding French dip, with a house salad. But the best part was the small samples of food prior to the meal! The restaurant was very busy and I can see why! Great service!

Absolutely awesome. I went with 5 others and they all enjoyed it very much. Plus it is a short block or 2 walk from very nice sweets . Get in early as it picks up starting around 9 - 9:30. Many vegan options as well as scratch made food. Plus they have a little goodie shop inside.

Scott Westerman

I was dragged here kicking and screaming because I didn't want to go somewhere that also did vegan food because, typically, places that do vegan don't do non-vegan very well. I'm so glad I was introduced. The food was incredibly good, servers were really polite, and overall a great atmosphere. Will definitely return often

KJ Miller

Always a great place for either breakfast or lunch. Or better yet, breakfast for lunch! Plenty of choices for vegetarians too. Service can be a bit slow, but otherwise we love Cheryl's!

Jim Stinnett

One of those Super Breakfast places, that lives up to the hype. Worth a visit.

Pretty good food with a nice place to sit outside. Chilli was the highlight

Sarah Larson

Came here for breakfast- the food was delicious, they had a wide variety of things to try, and service was phenomenal.

Dakoda cole

Great restaurant! If you don't try it your missing out an opportunity to eat and laugh in a great environment, with courteous servers, and attentive to you! The food is excellent, a variety of meals for all times of day and I promise you won't be disappointed! I bet you'll go back for more.

Ryan Johnson

Best breakfast I've had in a long time!

Deblin McKnight

The Portugese Fried Rice is to die for. Christy is the best server. Love this place so much.

Janene Hall

Great food, nice atmosphere! Lived the lemon curd fresh blueberry French toast! The hubs liked the Apple fritter bacon egg etc sandwich thing he had too. Where do they get their bacon!?!? Wow!

Yvonne Bond

I loved this place. We ate outside. We had wonderful service and the food was fabulous!

Andrew K

Their breakfast sandwich is very good. The waitors and atmosphere is perfect for breakfast. Nice natural sunlight, semi-quiet with nice decorations. $26 for 2 meals is a steal.

casie griffin

Rude staff...i understand its Sunday around brunch time but when your hostess won't give me the time of day to put my name in there is a problem...needless to say i can't speak for there food because i was ignored and not able to put my name in.

pratyusha mungara

Good food. They have a separate vegetarian menu. Isn't that cool! They gave us some free beignets which were out of the world!! Definitely try the mimosas. There are some off-beat ones like lavendar mimosa. We tried the French toast, fried rice, fish tacos, crab Benedict. The French toast was very good. The others were alright.

lindsay wulff

I had As Good As It Gets Cater my wedding and it was just absolutely fabulous. We did heavy appetizers and they estimated numbers perfectly. We even had some leftovers that they boxed up and we've been munching on them. Evelyn and her team were wonderful to work with and so professional. We had them do the food, bartending and our beautiful wedding cake and desserts and it was all fantastic! Bartender made the best mojitos for us! I could go on and on! 5 stars!!!!

David Julio

Nice little restaurant with friendly staff and great food. Can be a little busy on some days or at brunch time

Melodi Ramquist

As Good As It Gets catering by Cheryl's on 12th put together a really tasty appetizer spread for our Open House today! Great presentation and delicious! I would recommend you contact Maren to schedule a tasting if you are planning a wedding or event. They are pros!!

Jose Almario

Good food. Good selection. Friendly staff

Christina Beebe

Really great place! So busy. But really great prices considering it's in downtown Portland. I got an omelette, my son got the pancakes (not pictured) and I honestly forgot what my husband and friends got but everyone liked everything! The wait staff never neglected us and promptly helped us. Only downside is no free refills on soda- only by the can. Seems to be a normal thing for big cities so I won't count it against them. Overall very great experience and we were happy with the service, the food and the price.

go zura

Delicious food, cool atmosphere, great location. Kudos for vegan options.

Nick Janusch

Loved their beignets. Would go again next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Raymond Williams

Clean, great service, great food, many options, great location. Big windows provide lots of sunshine. Perfect for breakfast and starting your day.

Chuck N

Awesome food. Service is good.

Alexandra Boucher

Upon entering, I noticed a lot is going on in here. A store, a deli and a restuarant with a large menu. Way too much going on. The hostess was out of it, like she smoked a lot of pot the night before, woke up still high and when started her shift. She had no idea what tables were open, even though we could clearly see open seats. It took her 2 minutes to walk us 10ft to a table. The server was very nice, and very green. He stated it was his first shift ever and that "we will get through this together." He mentioned there was a French toast casserole, which is bizarre but okay, and he kept trying to push certain dishes without prompting. It felt forced. We ordered, with the server immediately asking us if we wanted to add on avocado, which is always an extra charge. We found that strange but agreed. I also ordered a juice, which was a full pint. I have never ever had a while pint in my life. Then we got complimentary beignets...twice. as if the server forgot he gave them to us. He did the same to the table next to us. Too much food before our actual food. Upon the arrival of our bennidicts, my friend's eggs were off. One was completely hard, the other like it had been in a microwave. My eggs were perfect, but both our muffins were rocks, my salmon was so dry, his sausages were cold, and they put cornflakes on the flavorless hashbrowns. We had to send them back. They comped our food, but we still had to pay for a mimosa and my pint of grapefruit juice. If that's as good as it gets, they need to raise their standards I will not be returning, no matter how many free beignets they offer.

Jose Sanchez

First time there today (December 9th) went in around 11 for some breakfast and was seated within 10 mins even though they were pretty busy. Drinks were great, and food was even better. The guys that were cooking were super fast, friendly and definitely deserve a raise. Definitely will be back soon!

Ralph Torrance

Cheryl's was a pleasant surprise for brunch! Be warned the portions are big! The food is all the comfort you could wish for! The corn beef hash my wife and daughter had was really tasty and plenty of meat!! My Croque-monsieur was amply filled it maybe could have done with a little longer under the grill but that is me being picky! Our server was friendly and attentive despite being super busy!

Elisabeth Patnode

Beignets on the house while we waited for our breakfast! Everything was delicious and great service even though they were very busy

Timothy Sheffield

Really nice people and Half Cesar Salad w/ Crab meat and egg whites scramble Delish! ... Also recommend the croque madam.

Annette Collins

A cozy, pleasant eatery with attentive, friendly staff and good food from a variety of kitchens. Mostly sandwiches and burgers on the evening menu, but also a few bowls for GF or vegetarian eaters. Also a nice bakery and coffee bar.

Michael Tarrach

Great food and very friendly service.

mary santoyo

Excellent Service, Delicious Food And Drinks. I do suggest to get in early as it gets packed. Outside seating as well, you definitely have to try this place out.

James Stillo

Coffee excellent, eggs benidict was a little rubbery Canadian bacon.

Guillermo Ramirez

A great place for brunch on weekends! It tends to get busy, but the staff do an amazing job getting you seated within a reasonable time. You’ll leave satisfied and ready for a post-meal nap!

Karl Van Dam

The food was extremely bland... How do you make fried bacon taste bland? The Portuguese fried rice had no flavor, almost like they completely forgot all seasoning. The beignets were good tho. Literally the only reason they got 2 stars.

Joanne Pinelli

Too expensive for small portions of food. Very skimpy wine pours. $9 for house wine during what should be happy hour. Cold seating areas; we kept our jacked on. Would not go back. Dark lighting.

Lyle Smith

Very tasty. I recommend the Apple frittwich.

Jonatan L.C

Went there for brunch and found that they have great service, friendly staff, good coffee and food

Jonathan Schenck

Great coffee and decent breakfast. Awesome location

Brian Woodring

Always busy, with good reason, and worth any wait (though it's never long)

Ryan Klause

Good food, great service. It was the service that definitely gives this place 5 stars! Incredibly kid/baby friendly!

Hussain Zahid Aslam

Great food. Good location!

Thé place is really beautiful. Food service is quite good as well. I loved the Portuguese fried rice with bits of bacon. They are usually quite busy so you might feel like they try to rush you in selecting your dish and also place your bill even before you finish your food..

Isaac Hernandez

Fantastic! Croque Madame w/ cheesy hashbrowns & Portuguese fried rice for the breakfast win, omelettes & scrambles surely to satisfy! Great coffee, cinnamon sugar beignets and service to go with their great location and bright atmosphere! What are you waiting for, get over there and load up!

Lauren Jackson

Excellent service and food! Our food came quickly and our waitress was very attentive. Great place for brunch!

David Driscoll

Cheryl's on 12th is our favorite spot for Portland. We had the ability to chat with Cheryl and her husband, both are amazing people. We shared that we live in Bend and come to Portland frequently and when we do we make it a point to stop in and have their great eats. If you are looking for the best spot that not only has great food, but has impeccable service look no further.

Stacy D

The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. Inside the cafe is warm and inviting. Great place to grab a coffee and some food!

James Crumbo

The best French toast I've ever had. Food is super fresh. Great staff. Excellent service. Though I live in Seattle I'd happily commute just to eat here. No joke.

Greta Summer

I used Cheryl’s on 12th’s catering service in June of 2018. I realized I hadn’t wrote a review for them and it’s been over a year! I looked high and low for an affordable, yet delicious, catering company for my wedding. After comparing prices with many places, Cheryl’s provided the best price. Because the price was amazing for food for 85 people along with a wedding cake, I expected the service to be average (boy was I wrong!!). After we picked out what food, hors d’oeuvres, and wedding cake flavors we wanted, Cheryl’s had us come in for a tasting. The food was amazing and I was beyond excited for the wedding day. Flash forward to the wedding day, the food was beyond anything I could imagine. To this day I crave that exact food. Everything was cooked amazingly and was so delicious. The wedding cake was IDENTICAL to the photo I gave the baker. I have never seen such a beautiful cake! Not only was it beautiful, it was the best cake I've ever had, and that’s coming from someone who worked at a popular bakery at the time! The guests raved about how good everything was. The one thing that made Cheryl’s over the top perfect apart from the food, was the service. We did not expect much, but Cheryl’s delivered. The servers they provided were the most polite people. Not only did they attend to my guests endlessly, they helped beyond the services they offered, without extra charge. They helped my mother and grandmother set up the wedding decorations and did an amazing job. They also helped my family take down decorations. My grandmother is a wedding planner and to this day she still is in shock with how helpful and well crafted the servers were. She would give them a task and they would do it, free of charge and purely out of kindness. They served our guests their food and made sure they were well taken care of and they cut our cake for all our guests and even boxed up the top of our cake to go home with us, which was a pleasant surprise! The last piece of this long review is the person who made this all possible. We had Michaela DeLashmutt as the coordinator. Not only was Michaela extremely professional throughout the whole endeavor, she went above and beyond. We used a different company for rentals, since I don’t believe Cheryl’s Offered rentals, and I expected to be the one who had to call them constantly and give updates on numbers and make sure everything was correct. But to my surprise, Michaela did this for me. She coordinated with the rental company and made sure there was enough plates, silverware, chairs, etc for the amount of food and guests we’d be having. Michaela was EXTREMELY helpful and polite. Throughout the whole planning process and on the wedding day I felt confident and relaxed that everything would be taken care of because of Michaela, and I was never let down or mistaken. The wedding day went as smooth as can be and there wasn’t a single mistake or issue on Cheryl’s end. I truly thank this amazing company and have and always will recommend them.

Curt Oliver

I have been here twice for brunch now, once in summer and once this winter. Both times the food and atmosphere were fantastic, and the servers were both friendly and attentive. It's a great location to take visitors from out of town, as you have a good view and a good location to wander after eating.

Todd Bakken

Fantastic breakfast Portuguese Fried Rice. Must get it with an extra egg that is runny - sunny side up, over easy, or over medium. Great screwdriver as well with a great staff. Highly recommend.

Leah MacLeod

The food was a bit bland and our server seemed to be having an off day.... overall, okay though.

Bradley W

We had the French toast on challah bread which was very good. The portion sizes are large and priced under $10. Great location and venue....very busy, yet they are able to seat people within a reasonable period of time. Definitely worth visiting.

Stefanie Fassbender

We had a great lunch, great service, we will come back when in Portland

Robert RobbTrujillo

Good food excellent service for quick lunch.

Alicia French

Considering this place for a wedding catering and we were overwhelmed with the tenderness and friendliness of the staff and the quality, taste and variety of the food. Similar options were 2-3 times what this was but not with half the class and thoughtfulness.

Arun Das

Amazing place! The food was incredible, and when there was an issue with our order (turns out it was supposed to come with an English muffin underneath it, but we didn't notice), the gave us a whole new portion to take away. The service was amazing, the fresh juices are awesome. Shout out to Steven for taking such good care of us!

Gaby Rosenada

UH WHAT? How did I live without Cheryl's? This place is amazing. We got to sample their delicious croque monsieur while we waited and then when we got seated, the waitress brought more free food! Their team is so friendly and attentive to their customers. We loved the Eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros and also brought home a lemon curd cookie and a brownie. Yum.

Amazing service, skylar was super informative and the food came fast. Will definitely return.

Rachel Cazavilan

We used As Good As It Gets Catering for our wedding reception on New Years Eve this year. We had a rough start with some issues with our event lead being a bit flakey and not responding to emails, etc. Just one email to the owners and they swooped in and had a meeting with us and gave us a new event lead and everything went perfectly the day of! The food was beautiful and the staff was lovely!

AlexisRF F

Had the Portuguese rice and crab eggs benedict. The food is just ok but the service here is pretty good. The staff is super efficient in the midst of the busy status of this restaurant on a weekend brunch. Im glad I tried it, im not sure if im a return customer. I like Mothers much much more.

Bruce Leonard

Great food and really friendly staff

Suzanne Swenson

Wow. This place has the best Salmon Benedict! We had to wait to be seated, but it was so worth it. Once seated, they give you beignets while you wait for your food to come out (which didn't take long at all) and those were delicious. Highly recommend!!

Scott Castle

Excellent place for breakfast. There were 5 of us and everyone ordered something different. Everything looked and tasted delicious. Our server, Skyler, was really good at giving us the lowdown on all the food and he seemed to really enjoy working there.

Deanne Hunter

Amazing food, coffee and service. We visited while on vacation and if we lived closer we would definitely visit again.

TinCanGoat McClellin

We thought it pretty good. The service and friendliness of the staff makes up for the crowded feeling (like when the overly loud dude behind you can’t control the volume of his voice). Our waiter was a super friendly dude and we’d totally sit in his section again. I had the B&G with two eggs. The eggs were/are my only complaint due to being on the oily side and having that gross hard, brown ring of crust. Low and slow on eggs is best. These were high-temp fried and it showed. But the french toast with authentic maple syrup was damn good and the B&G was scrumptious. I’d get either of those again. Worth a visit.

Kendra O'Brien

The food was okay (burnt toast, bones in my salmon), but the staff and customer service was AMAZING.

Michele Rodgers

Thank you for letting us stay to watch the parade. And your vegan chili is awesome .

Daryl Allen

One of my favorite breakfast and lunch places in Portland. Great food selections and service.

ProstoYelena .

My favorite breakfast place for crab omelet and crab Benedict, love their lattes , always great service.

Good food. Variety of options. I had the Apple Frittwich which sounded a lot better than it tasted... I'd still recommend it, but I was expecting more. The bacon jam seems like bacon fat with bits of bacon.. there was no "jam" in it at all (and you have to request bacon slices- sandwich is pretty boring without it). The fritter was perfect and so was the fried egg! I'm not a hash brown person, but these are tasty (they come with cornflakes on top). I tried some of the french toast and it was AMAZING (wish I'd have gotten it). Loved this place and will definitely revisit.

Diana Baker

Popular Sunday Brunch spot with bright interior, friendly staff, and quality food. It was definitely crowded on a Sunday, but the two of us waited less than ten minutes before getting a table. Great interior atmosphere. I had a Fritwhich, a sandwich with an apple fritter for the bun, a cooked egg and lettuce interior, got potatoes on the side. The individual pieces were all great but something about the lettuce/donut combo squicked me out. Luckily it was easy to remove the lettuce. I had a dirty chai that was pleasant.

Richard Herndon

We got there 2 minutes before closing and we still were treated very graciously. Awesome food and terrific service.

Hayli Lundin

Dank food. Dank drank. Strong champagne. They have every flavored momosa u can think of.

Gant Browning

Good food, plus friendly and attentive staff.

Marco Gutierrez

Good breakfast and coffee with friendly service in the centre of town. After reading reviews online I came here and didn't regret it. Had eggs as well as the granola. Both very nice.

Great food, great service, friendly and I highly recommend

Allie Untracht

It's okay. Sone food was good, some was kind of bad.

William Cheng

Delicious breakfast, friendly service. I had the fried egg sandwich with bacon, on perfectly toasted sourdough. Good coffee as well!

Jose Buenrostro

Food was great and service amazing! Just have the front staff give a little smile once in awhile

adrianne crabtree

There is usually a wait here but it is well worth it! The food here is amazing!!!!! Staff is awesome! A must go to if you are in Portland! Thank you for the amazing food! Parking is on the street and is paid parking.

Amanda Martin-Tully

Brunch is what you should spend your morning enjoying, not waiting in line for. Cheryl's is just the place if you're downtown, looking for a variety of options (including delicious vegetarian ones) and it has fantastic service. So grab a wine glass sized mimosa and enjoy a hot slice of rye toast - which c'mon, really should be more readily available on the west coast.

Marcia Blaine

The menu is large. The service is top notch. The coffee is not bitter.

Billy Brewer

Wow. Just. Wow. We went to Cheryl's for brunch, and I was blown away at all the flavor, the gravitas in the flavors, and the execution on all the dishes. I saw a Fritterwich and had to try it. It was mind-blowing. A rich donut with peppery arugula and melted cheese takes three disparate flavors and rolls them all into one crazy yummy idea. All the croques we're great, which melted cheese and toast you think, hard to screw it up, but you just have to taste to know how special it is. Pretty busy, but worth the wait by a long shot.

Unsolicited Press

Our team went here for brunch and the food is great, but not all of it is great. This is more of a 3.5 star rating, and here's why: Pros: -- The pancakes with blueberries and lemon curd taste delicious. -- The huevos rancheros were also very delicious. --Despite the busy feel of the place, we got into fairly quickly and our server was very kind to us. -- The dishes were hot when served. --The green omelet was balanced, something many breakfast places have a hard time doing (overdoing the dairy or grease). This omelet wasn't greasy and the cheese was just right. Cons: -- The hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was thick and gross. We scraped it off, and for the price, the dish itself was underwhelming. -- The house coffee was cold from the beginning. Several of us asked for new coffee, and it was still cold. The refills: cold. This isn't a staff issue, but management may need to check the calibration on their machines...otherwise, it's clear coffee is sitting in carafes for way too long. -- Like I said, our server was nice, but she would not stop upselling us on everything. It wasn't just small things either (add-ons are expensive here). As we were ordering, she recommended we get a plate of French Toast and Vegetarian Fried Rice for the table to was far too aggressive. Also, we watched as she did this to two other nearby tables, so we knew it wasn't just to our table. It is very rude and management needs to have a talk with servers because this type of upselling isn't okay. It's one thing to ask if you want avocado with your eggs benedict, but it's entirely different when your staff i proposing entire plates of food. -- The scramble was a bit of a disappointment. Mostly potatoes. I think the person who ordered it was expecting an egg scramble, not potatoes. -- We felt "pushed" out of the diner. It was clear they were working to turn tables, but handing the check to us at the same time you deliver the food isn't the right time. It's also not okay to ask if we want boxes mid-meal. It made everybody feel as if we had to hurry up. Anyways, we've all eaten here before and it's good food, but it's expensive and the service isn't always ideal.

Great food. Creative menu options. Good prices. Friendly staff. Decent location. Parking can be a pain. Nice spot to sit and people watch.

katie lynn

Such amazing food! And great service! Can't wait to go back!

Alexander Smith

The rice was perfectly and the customer service is awsome. I will definitely recommend this place.

Andrew Lee

Cheryl’s on 12th is a great place to visit for breakfast. I visited around 8am on a Saturday. It was bustling but a lot of tables were available. Skyler the waiter was friendly and happy to answer any questions. To start they provided complementary beignets. It was a great way to start the meal. They were eggy and had no trace of oil and were topped with a light dusting of powdered sugar. I ended up choosing the Migas for breakfast. It tasted great – there was a good balance of eggs, tortilla strips, and vegetables. The black beans and avocado rounded out the dish nicely as well. I would definitely return for a nice American breakfast.

Aaron Innes

Good little deli spot. Busy and noisy though. Food is excellent.

Alfonso Bazurto

Why go anywhere else food was excellent and service was spot on try the hevos rancheros that fire roasted jalapeno was not just for decoration.

Ava Gurdian

So good! The line is out the door, and that's why. Come early so you won't have to wait long.

This most friendly place is casual open and noisy. Everyone who works here makes this place so pleasant. The food was very good. Quick service. Line moved quickly for two of us.

Not a bad spot. Good coffee, and nice breakfast treats. A bit $$$ but the staff makes up for it. Sat outside and OMG the Ice Cream place next door...... Yum I'll have to try them out.... SOON.

AMAZING SERVICE!!!! In Portland for 1st time, and they were the nicest people! Delicious food! Delicious drinks! Hour wait well worth it!

Rodrigo González del Cueto

Tried the lemon curd French toast for breakfast and fell completely in love; one of the most succulent french toasts I've had. Excellent service. Mind the place gets crowded, so get there early if you want to avoid waiting for a table.

These fools and myself could not get enough of this amazing little joint. Two days in a row, breakfast and lunch. Had the eggs Benedict day 1, Huevos Rancheros day 2 - yummy in my tummy.

Danielle Krohn

Got there around 9am on the holiday weekend which was apparently perfect timing because we got an outside table with no wait right before a long line formed. Enjoyed the cappuccino, huevos rancheros, and great service.

Lisa Hebert

The Caprese sandwich is amazing! Good service and a short wait for food.

Tom Napper

Decent place for breakfast. Interesting combinations of flavors.

Great service! Our server was so friendly and warm. Food is good, Bloody Mary good. Fried rice, corned beef hash...yaum. Loved the complimentary beignets.

Kathi Bruyere

Most tender flavorful steak I have had in a very long time.

This was the absolute best breakfast we had in Portland over out 6 day stay and I totally regret not going back to it before we left. It was a little busy when we entered, but from the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. It was a lot of activity from all the dinners, staff, and open kitchen, but still comfortable and not to disruptive to the dining experience. Since on vacation, we started with morning libations. Their bloody mary was fairly impressive, but their unique mimosas is what really got my attention. Ordered a rose mimosa and it was a very light and delicate drink beautifully served with an orchid floating in it. The egg sardou and crab mornay were decedent delights. Both rich with flavors and textures from the different layering of ingredients. The crab mornay was amazing with it's large chunks of crab while the egg sardou was an interest variation of eggs benedict using artichoke hearts which was a different yet pleasant twist of ingredients. On top of all that, the coffee was really good as well. They made a perfect latte. I have to say, that this is a must do for breakfast while visiting in Portland and defiantly will make it the first to do when visiting this wonderful city again.

What a great place! Try the Portuguese fried rice you will like it! The curried peas are also awesome!

We were so hungover when we came here for brunch. Their Portuguese sausage fried rice definitely hit the spot. Husband got their corn beef hash which was also really good. Also complimentary beignets

Food and Service were amazing. I didn't finish my food so at least 3 people noticed and offered to replace it. It was truly amazing I was just stuffed.

I can’t wait to go back to this place. The breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. While you wait outside (well because it is so good that there almost always is a few minutes waiting), you occasionally get to taste their seasonal delicacy. We loved our breakfast and the service! The prices are nominal.

Amazing!!! Ask for Skylar V. He was so hospitable. Our food was delish and it came out so quickly. Good people! I would recommend to anyone.

Salmon Benedict was a little dry and disliked that I wasn’t given a heads up that it wasn’t boneless. I was expecting a little more flavor but adding the hot sauce helped. Ordered a hot/spicy Bloody Mary and definitely not the best I’ve tasted. Could’ve been a little better. The only thing I really liked was the free freshly made beignets. Very tasty when it’s warm and literally melted in my mouth like cotton candy. I don’t think I’d come again, well if I do, I wouldn’t get the Salmon Benedict.

This is my favorite resturant hands down. Awesome food owners are great people. Atmosphere is crazy love love.

Thomas Wysocki

I was happy with the food, and the ambiance is a bit like a popular European cafe. They also welcome you with a beignet shortly after being sat. All good things. My one gripe is that shortly after being served my food, we were given the bill. This was apparently for our convenience, and no rush of course. ;-)

Great food! Loud atmosphere but the apple frittwitch was amazing!

James Riley

I’ve been in town for a week for work and had fantastic breakfast here a few times, and excellent service from Skylar. Definitely looking forward to visiting again next year!

Food was pretty bland, the coffee was good though. I enjoyed the environment and the area it was, the staff was very friendly and it was a good first impression but the food could've been a lot better, my own tip it needed more salt/flavor but it wasn't terrible.

Owen Brown

Neat little bistro/deli/market near the heart of downtown Portland.

Tobi Webster

The staff and owners are the best! Food is so great and there is no way you leave hungry!! Good for families. Best for Sunday brunch! Wonderful drinks!!!

Shayne Leong

Great food with large portions. The Portuguese sausage fried rice is fantastic. The wait was not too long, although it's always been busy when I've eaten there.
